OMG LOLBAT iz in ur CoH...

...MISIONING IN UR ARCZ!

LOLBAT is a fictional superhero, a creation of PvP Online creator Scott Kurtz. Funniest thing next to The Tick when I first saw him a year ago or so. And now apparently he's got a guest arc. I just found out about this, sorry if it's old news, but I just can't wait to get back from work and try it. Below is the notice from the PvP Online website, and then below that LOLBAT's "greatest hits". Enjoy!

Not only do we have a new LOLBAT story-line starting up today, but the LOLBAT is also invading NC Soft’s Super-Hero RPG, City of Heroes. I'll probably get all sorts of hate and negative rep dumped on me but I found the arc extremely boring. Exactly the same thing I would expect to find if LOLBAT were expanded to a monthly comic book. Some things were meant to be epic and lengthy. Others were meant to be a few panels of hilarity.

Played two missions. Pretty fun. But now my character is broken (not saying it's the fault of Lolbat )

But those chefs are pretty hard to fight on my level 8 scrapper.

I had fun with the arc. The scrabbler's mission was interesting, too.

Yeah, because I didn't run all over the map, front, middle and back and, when that didn't work, fired up Blinkie Finder which listed it as no where on the map... ¬_¬

He wasn't there.

Heh. So I got anonymous negative rep for not thinking LOLBAT is funny, which, I suppose, fair enough; the rep mechanism is a pretty blunt tool, give a griefer a hammer and he'll grief some nails with it. What gets me, though, is the part where Noël Coward calls me "the guy who doesn't like anything". How'd you get from not thinking an overcooked extension of an Internet meme that wasn't really all that funny in the first place still isn't funny to not liking anything? I mean, as alterations to the camera angle of life go, that's a pretty dramatic dolly zoom. I like plenty of stuff! Tic Tacs, for instance. And Matchbox cars. And Saul Rubenstien's Discount Task Force. Oh, and War Witch. Definitely.

I hate it. Sorry.

I enjoyed this arc quite a bit. Moreso than Willingham's arc, no matter how much I like him as a writer, and much, much, much moreso than the Roosterteeth arc, which I didn't find even mildly amusing or interesting.
