The Great Character Bio Round Up Hoe Down a Go Go!
I'll have a go at this. I have great banter binds for this character, but thus far I've been at a loss to write a sufficiently awesome biography.
Name: Baroness Munchhausen. Female Powersets: Electrical Melee / Shield Defense (scrapper) Origin: Mutation Appearance: typical Heraclea character, fairly tall and robust, long black hair. Wears an English monocle. Three costumes so far: - black minidress with fishnets and high heeled boots - black buckled leather - tan jacket over black tank top, camo slacks and duster hat. Shield logo is the "Bird" heraldic eagle. Some of her sample binds: "You cannot win, $target. I once defeated the entire Red Chinese army with a packet of Alka-Seltzer." "Remind this $target about how I held off a thousand ninjas in Macao with a nail file." "Don't try to climb K2 like I did, $target. I broke a heel." "In the Peruvian Andes, we used to use $targets as bait in the tarrasque traps." "I taught Ms. Liberty everything she knows, $target. About fighting, anyways. That trick with the jello shots was her own idea." |

"Take the Yuan-Ti, bash them with a club made of frozen stupidity, then rip out their sense of subtlety with a rusty spoon, and then you have the Snakes of Mercy Isle" -Taltha Widowfang, drow stalker

Nobody knows why John Mill fell into the vat that day. They knew he had the sickness, that it was changing him. They knew he had lost his wife in childbirth, and that the child had been a freak that died before it drew its first breath. Some said suicide; some said accident. They stopped the line, of course, but the heat that melts metal burns bones. His body was never found.
But the stories flourished. They said that old John Mill haunted the earth still, in a body made of ore and steel, with fists like hammers. They said that he stalked the mill, seeking redress for his unfathomable loss. By day the mill owners laughed at the superstitions, but they had no explanations for the things that happened by night. Their nerves stretched to the breaking point, and at last one snapped, turned on the others, and turned states' evidence. The owners went to jail, the workers got settlement checks, and the mill closed down... and of John Mill, who knows?

Everybody knew the steel mill was poorly run. The shifts were too long, the men were too tired, and the machines were too old. But it was the only work in town, so every able-bodied man shoveled coke and poured metal and hoped to live another day. The ore was cheap, too, coming from abandoned and condemned mines worked by desperate men. There were... impurities. Strange minerals that glowed faintly, that released sickly clouds as they fell into the ovens. The workers would get sick, and keep working, because they had to.

I like the cowboy hat... hmmmm. The nice thing about villains is it opens a whole new realm of misadventure from their civilian pasts.
Bella Tanner was a notorious arsonist, laying waste to vast tracks of Texas prairies and extorting obscene "protection fees" from local farmers and ranchers.
When the locals banded together and fought back with hi-tech fire prevention robots, Bella decided to step up her game too. With her sister's help, she broke into a local petrochemical plant looking for some new breakthrough in explosives and incendiaries. What she found was Mercury 7, a catalyst designed to turn organic waste into an efficient fuel. What Mercury 7 DID do was turn every cell in Bella's body into a fuel plant. Her blood, tears- all highly flammable. She literally sweats napalm.
She stepped up her game alright- this goes way beyond rolling yokels for protection money!

Appearance (have also added red bat wings):

I just can't get a handle on a good bio for him. I want something semi-serious, and not too disco. Inspiration partly came from Nabeshin from Excel Saga (hence the AR).

Though rumors abound, it's not entirely certain what induced the woman known as the All Life Assassin to throw away her humanity to become the perfect killing machine. Some say she is the result of a secret Vanguard program for the next generation supersoldier; others call her an intelligence agency project gone rogue. What is known is that her augmentations don't stop at the concealed ceramic blades in her arms. Radical neurosurgery has sped up her perception and reaction times to millionths of a second, giving her eons of perceived time to assess and analyze combat situations. The most fearsome augmentation, and the one that gives her her name, is the dedicated stress analysis computer that nestles against her brainstem. Its sophisticated algorithms allow it to sense and highlight the key weak points of any structure or organism. And with its help, the All Life Assassin can kill or destroy anything.
It's just unfortunate that the procedure also methodically stripped her of anything resembling a conscience.

Too bad the mind wasn't as noble as the body. Zeus has a cold-blooded mind for menace, and equipped himself with the firepower to match his ambitions. He never bother to protect his identity or to fake his innocence, but the "man" known as Zeus Carter is long gone. Friend and foe alike know him simply as Afrogator.

This is an awesome thread and one I will be keeping an eye on

I'm usually very good with coming up with character bios but there is one character I have that has been very troublesome for me, probably because he's so conventional (Or at least he seems that way to me.) so on whim, why not? Actually I did have a start on his bio, which I will give below, but I'm willing to scrap it if someone here can come up with something more compelling.
Super name: Ornithopter; Gender: male; Archtype and powers: Techology-based defender with archery, trick arrows and, of course, flight.
Description:
- A thin-to-average build white male in his late 20s with a mustache.
- Wears a high-tech, armored chest plate and shoulder pieces all linked into a set of flapping, robotic wings. He calls this his "wing vest." The wings and chest plate are red with blue highlights.
- He wears a conical helmet with a built in AR computer (Tracking, HUD, targeting laser, control yoke for the wings and stuff like that.) and weilds a high-tech compound bow. The helmet is red (I think blue highlights as well.).
- Wears loose black pants tucked into black boots with a single white stripe running from belt to heel. Wears black gloves with a similar white stripe.
Clyde Gardener, a mild mannered mechanical engineer who worked at a small startup in Berkeley California called Electroflight LLC developing a powered exoskeleton, driven by revolutionary electrical capacitor/battery, that grants the wearer bird-like flight. There was a suspicious industrial accident (Competitors? Foreign spies? Simple theft?) and Clyde decides to don the remaining prototype vest to go out that bring the perps (Assuming there are any) to justice, and incidently fix the company's bottom line.
So he's sort of like a poor man's Iron Man/Hawkeye/Green Archer type. I was stunned to find "ornithopter" available as a name.
Anyone want to run with that? Or come up with something better? I can post a screenshot of him tonight if that helps.

Here's one I'll throw out there-
My main, Twicken Sisted (she used to be Chitzen Giggles before she got gen'd)
Science origin Fire/Rad controller
She's pre-i16, and I've kept her powers pretty faithful to the original fire=red, rad = green. Her trademark colors and black and red with bright green accents. Lots of horizontal stripes.
I've never thought of a good bio for her. I had some thing going about the hazards of eating 20 year old cans of Soviet chili, but nothing really popped.

Damn, I wish I had thought to use the name "Ornithopter". One of my favorite Magic: the Gathering Cards ever.

Trust the computer. The computer knows all.
i'll try riffing on what you had:
Clyde Gardener was perched on the verge of success. His tiny startup Electroflight was about to reveal the Ornithopter, a powered exo-suit capable of making human flight safe and affordable for every man, woman and child. This could change the world, change civilization as we know it- if not for the Sky Raiders.
They raided his lab, abducted his employees, and stole the blueprints and the prototypes... all but one. From the ashes of his company Clyde retrieved a militarized version of the exo-suit he was developing in secret. If the Sky Raiders knew it existed... Clyde might just have to show them. Give them a first hand demonstration, rescue his kidnapped employees, and restore his fallen company.

I, like most in this thread, generally don't find a toon compelling to play without a concept. One of my Level 40s is the rare exception, as he is a blast to play, however 40 is also about the time I finalize a character's concept which I then use to make the last bit to 50 more fun.
I don't have a screenshot handy, but can make one if it would help.
Info:
Name: Bow and Aneurysm
Origin/AT: Science Blaster (arrow/psy)
Appearance: Uses Baron set from the Magic pack heavily, mostly black, white, and tan. The hat, cape, and trim on everything is tan/khaki-ish. Pants are brown. He uses a standard longbow colored mostly black with tan grip, but is willing to change (especially with Vanguard Merits). Overall he looks sort of old-timey pilgrim-ish. Caucasian, brown hair, smug expression.
Bio thus far:
Absolutely nothing. Not even general personality, so have at it.
NCSoft will be getting no more of my money and my GW2 purchase was halted the day of the announcement. I'm a loyal and very profitable customer. I hope to return to giving them all of my money, should CoH survive.

Hm, this is tough because I don't really have a good theme to work with here. The name is silly and doesn't really suggest a theme to go with. Do you have a screen shot?

I was definitely thinking some kind of sardonic, darkly humorous origin. Not quite grim and gothy, but with a certain, well, sick twist to it.

2. Archetype: Brute, Energy Melee, Regeneration.
3. Origin: Magic.
4. A quick description of their appearance:
That's about the limits of my descriptive prowess. I guess it's worth noting that the diamond on her chest is suppose to be an amulet.
Originally she was to be part of a villainous duo with her sister Cinderella (seewhatIdidthere?), but that name was taken and thus the concept fell flat. I figure Tinder's mother was the one exposed to convenient radiation/chemicals while she was pregnant with her, but that's about all I can come up with.
