Good farming Archery/MM build

OK, my Archery/MM blaster is lvl 42 and I really want to use him as a farmer. I have endless amounts of influence, so no expenses spared.

Anyone got a good farming build and suggestions of suitable maps to farm?

I'm interested as well, trying to find a good balence between Recharge and S/L Defense on my builds....really hard decisions.

The above build uses GSFC's in concentration, then maxes out smash/lethal defenses. GSFC isn't doing much for you there. It's not +2.5 to all.. it's +2.5 to all positional defenses. I'd put those slots somewhere else.

People are going to disagree with me, but personally I think World of Confusion is one of the best mitigation powers blasters get. Adding it to my fire/mm build this weekend made a very noticible jump in my survivabilty.

When your farming you want to use flash freeze, go into melee (no aura on) and use drain psyche, then que up RoA and attack. This way you can DP w/o getting attacked.

Actually its +2.5% defence to all, including Smashing/Lethal. Edit: Correction, its +def to all. It's +1.25% defense to Nonpositional defense.

Is your comment that the 1.25% isn't worth it?

Personally I have never tried WoC. It's potential is tantalizing, however I dislike taking offensive toggles a charactor that doesn't have permanent mez protection.

Here's a crazy recharge build (120% recharge without Hasten, 190% with). Aim and Concentration are up every 24 seconds and RoA is up every 16. PSW's up every 5-6. Decent amount of HP as well but not much in the way of defense - probably not a big deal since RoA + PSW should clean up most of a mob.

Why no Hecatomb or Apocalypse? You can easily cram that 5th purple set in there and have a build that's halfway to the +Rech cap all by its lonesome.

IMO, this build here takes the best of both of the last two builds posted and melds it into an unstoppable force.

- First of all, Capped Defense to S/L (46.9%)
- Nice Recharge bonus (95%) has RoA up every 17 Second when running Hasten.
- Perma Sleep from Flash Freeze and Hibernate in place of Vengence.
- World of Confusion 5-Slotted with Coercive Persuasion.
- 17% Damage Bonus PLUS Aim and Concentration up every 30s.

Im wondering why no one has taken both tier 1 & 2 Arch attacks. Defiance allows both of those 2 be used while mezzed, something I highly recommend everyone take). Other than that I love the builds. I have WoC and its amazing, I also found a way to get tough and weave so I almost never die now.

I think one reason you don't see that is you really don't need both when you're farming. If you're getting mezzed often enough where you need both, you're not doing it right. With a high recharge farm build, if you're cycling through single target attacks (like on a boss, for example) you'll be able to cycle through Aimed Shot and Blazing Arrow...and if you happened to be mezzed, Aimed Shot will come up fast enough to attack 2 or 3 times while you're mezzed...but then again, you really shouldn't be getting mezzed all that often.

I'm interested that all of these builds discuss using defense as the main survival tactic. My Arch/MM build actually uses Tough and Temp Invulnerability to achieve around 50% resistance. Since I'm only taking damage from weak crossbow bolt attacks (I farm the BM map) I don't even think twice about getting hit. Add to that the fact that I have Aid Self to cut down on any downtime (also a good place for another set of bonuses) and It's quick and safe.

Honestly, with Archery and a high recharge build you really can't go wrong. If you're stealthed in some way or another you can hit build up, aim, Rain of Arrows and Fistful and all the minions and Lt.'s are down (with maybe a couple of stragglers). You can also cue Explosive Arrow and then cycle Fistful again if they are clumped together. In fact, outside of Build Up, you can go without using any of the secondary powers. I do like to, from time to time, stand in the middle of groups and fire off RoA and then PSW...that is slightly more risky and could get you mezzed...From that point, if you're including bosses, you can cycle very quickly through your single-target attacks. I've found it to be quicker and more effective to run at 8 man +2 no bosses...but from time to time I'll throw the bosses in there. You can kite them until they die and they give a truckload of xp/inf.

Why? You don't need them. Your AoEs should clean up most of a mob on their own, and Aimed Shot and Blazing Arrow should take care of the rest (Mind Probe if you get into melee).

I'm working on the same build, atm. Currently i'm level 43 with all Common IO's except for 3 lotg 7.5% rech.

RoA is up every mob(within a few secs) now with hasten and so is PSW. The problem i'm having is when i jump in the mob with PSW, they scatter as if a meteor is coming. lol. (i'm farming a BM map in AE set to 0 x8) Normal farm so rewards are 100% and i'm able to ticket cap in 1 run which is nice. But back to the topic.

How do i keep them from running away? I have Flash Freeze for a purp set at 50. Should i hit it before RoA or after PSW? I know the best way is to kill them all, but even with 3 damage per both powers, it still leaves a few runners. I plan to fully IO and mostly purple the build. Will the xtra damage %'s clean up the few left? Thanks for any replies.

I found that as long as I had Super speed and a stealth IO in sprint, I never needed flash freeze. I just hit aim+BU+RoA and qued up Drain Psyche. Soon as they agroed, I was buffed and they were getting hit with RoA as I used PsW and Explosive Arrow.

While we're on this subject...what do you guys think of this one? Softcapped S/L Defence, 94% Recharge bonus before Hasten, and 21.5% Damage bonus before Aim or Concentration. Aim and Concentrate are up once every 26 seconds (best I could get was 22 seconds no matter how hard I tried), RoA up every 18. And I also my "Oh ****!" Button too in Hibernate. One of the things I love about this build is that it can play in multiple ranges too. I can fire Aim -> Concentrate -> RoA -> Fistfull of Arrows -> Psychic Scream from the distance (hence the range in Fistful). Or Go in, set up Aim -> Concentrate -> RoA -> Drain Psyche -> Psychic Shockwave -> Explosive Arrow.
I have both Flash Freeze and Stealth/SS/Stealth IO just for kicks. Anyways...comments?

Hijacked your build, Wanted, and made a few adjustments to go the extra mile. Went the perma-hasten route to keep the attacks speedy all the time instead of most of the time. Exchanged WoC for Stunning Shot for two reasons: WoC wakes up sleepers, negating Flash Freeze when you move in. Stunning shot takes mezzers out of the picture completely. Took out Stealth since the defense bonus assumes unsuppressed status. Once you attack or get hit, the bonus is gone. Went with Combat Jumping instead for the immob/kb protections. Extremely expensive.

First of all, thanks a lot for the suggested build.
Second of all..OMG *eyes bleed* so many purples XD
And the PvP IO alone sells for like 2 billion, and I've almost never seen it on the market. Maybe I'll use this as my long run project. Because currently there's no way I can afford this right now lol.
