Veteran Reward Suggestion
Did he mean cats and people who give the impressions of cat like tendencies or just cats?
|
Crazy cat ladies and people with cat like tendencies are still at the bottom of the list with the rest of humanity.
Oh and it's my humble nature that prevents me from listing myself in the number three slot alongside my brother and sister veterans.

Mmm, a new Vet Reward...
Considering they are thank you beanies, that gives more flavor to the game, helps other players enjoy the game (vet assemble the team)...
Suggestion 1. Heal the team, usable once every hour. When player engages it, all members of the team are fully healed and endurance fully recharged.
Suggestion 2. Rez the team, usable once every hour. When player engages it, all defeated members are resurrected with full hit points and endurance, those not defeated have their hits and endurance pegged up.
Suggestion 3. Free the team, usable once every hour. When player engages it, all team members suffering the effects of a status effect or debuff are freed from the effect and remain resistant to such effects for 10 seconds.
What you all think?
Hugs

Venteran Reward Power: Day Job Teleporter
This teleporter will take you to any day job lacation that you have already earned time on.
or
This power to teleport you to the day job location that you have earned the most time on but have to gotten yet.
this is something i think everyone would wont in both real life and in game.
Some of these rewards are lame, like ooo I have a boxing outfit, sure glad I waited 33 months for that, this just completed my character. But then I have no idea of what I would offer other than uber unfair powers, which is why I'm not working for NCSOFT or Paragon studios and just playing. Vet rewards are just more badges for me to get and other than that, really don't have any affect on whether I stay with the game or not. Would like a 5 year vet reward that was seperate from the other vet rewards.

Although if they were single target and had a short cannot-be-buffed for a few seconds effect like the brief invulnerable period on RotP/PotP... still might a bit much for a vet reward, but would bring them more in-line.
I just like the belt. The boots/shorts aren't bad either. I never use the gloves though. Nothing against them, but they don't ever seem to mesh well with the rest of my costume. Personal preference, nothing more.

My vet reward suggestion is a summonable kiosk like the portable invention table that connects you to the market interface from anywhere, and is usable by anyone nearby.
This would be especially handy for teaming in coop zones like RWZ and Cimerora, where exiting the zone to hit the market kicks you from a coop team.

I think costumes codes much better idea than yet more tailor tokens.
I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.
Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.
So sad to be ending ):

So as I type this, I'm sure the devs are going to want to have me dragged from my bed as I sleep and beaten. Playing this game as long as I have, I like to think I generally know how the devs feel about certain things. That being said...
I think it would be neat if every 3 months we got a few costume items from different enemy groups. I realize the devs don't want us looking like them exactly so perhaps 1/3 of the costume items any particular group has. Even give it a choice menu so people can pick which set they get when. Id even go as far as to say start this as early as 3 months since there as who knows how many NPC groups to do this with. It would ensure that ALL players get some nifty costume that people who just installed the game don't. At the same time it would give the long time vets that little something extra to feel special since they could easily have any where from 5 to 21 of these "mini packs".
Now of course I have a good idea what this would entail so its easier said then done.
It also leads to the argument of "costume parts as vet rewards yes or no" but thats another thread and not this one.
Also, as I type this I think this would be a good add-in for the vet system. If its not costume parts something else that would have a ton of options so you could give them out every 3 or 6 months as just a little extra and people can get something they prefer over something else. Just add them on top of the current vet rewards. For some people this would be a "SWEET I GET SOMETHING EXTRA EVERY MONTH" and others it would be a "well its not the Nemesis staff but the fact is got to pick "whatever" is still pretty nice.

It's a marketing tool to make people that have been playing for five years feel more important than those that have been playing for less than five years.
Oh, and it gives them a free power, the bastards. |
Base Teleport.
Sands of Mu? Handy at the beginning levels. Not so much in the later levels, when I can slot my other powers for ACC.
The other ones? I grabbed the Axe on one, just because it fit the concept for the character to have one other weapon besides the sword.
The staffs? Only my MA/Shield has kept the Staff (Nemesis in her case), for actual game play, and that's just because of concept reasons I could see her having it.
The Vet Pets? Again, I've only grabbed them for the ones I thought it made since to use because of their concept.
The one's that give a benefit, really don't last long.
The less influence/infamy used at the tailor isn't really all that terrible of a vet reward. I like that one, but I make costume switches all the time. And before getting it, all it meant was a bit more influence used.
However, there is one vet reward I hate to miss out (and am thankful that I'm not) and that's the belly shirts. But I was asking for that before vet rewards. And that one does nothing to make the Vets have a power advantage over the lower level vets.

I would like to see them add dual auras as a verteran reward.
