I don't know whether to laugh or cry:
Yeah, this came out of left field. Guess spider-man will start climbing the Matterhorn...
One wonders how this will affect the more violent aspects of marvel, like deadpool and the punisher...

Oh dear.
Hopefully they will treat it like a separate business venture, like Touchstone.
Edit: And Pixar.

One can only hope. *sighs* I hate these mega companies out there that own all these different smaller companies... Disney is particularly annoying. They haven't been able to do much on their own, so they bought up Pixar (sure, they always had a business relationship, but I'm not sure why it couldn't stay that way). Anyway, this whole move to bigger and bigger conglomerates bothers me, for some reason.
But yeah... Mickey Mouse and Wolverine hanging out is bizarre. Disney and Pixar at least have some affinity for each other... Marvel and Disney? Not so much.

I'm not happy at all. I blame Voodoo for the merger.

When a friend told me about it I thought it was a joke. When I confirmed it I almost cried.
It's not enough that George Lucas ***** my childhood with the prequils and Indy 4 now this.
Something witty and profound
I remember reading some futuristic sci-fi book wherein the main character remembered back on Disney being the 51st official state.
And now I finally understand.

*Praying to see Apocalypse in a new Kingdom Hearts game*
Actions speak louder than Vets.
Beauty and Galactus
Marvel Zombies: Captain EO
Henry McCoy the Shaggy DA
Peter Pan and Tinker Bell, the new Cloak and Dagger
Dazzler's Roller-Fantasia
The Toymaker's Escape from Its a Small World
The Punisher's Apprentice
On a positive note: Would be cool to see Space Mountain get a Negative Zone treatment. Maybe see Richards stranded on an asteroid gnawing on a bat or Annihilus and Blastaar trading blows.

PerilX always said that DC comics was better, so.... kicks Marvel to the curb

DC has some okay stuff, but Marvel has a lot more heroes that I find more interesting... and I kind of feel like they're a big reason that DC's characters actually became more, well, human. Heroes are great and I love reading about them, but I do want them to be more than two-dimensional.
Now, comics are pretty much about who is guiding the writing and creative process... they either click with the material, or don't.

Eh, if people are too worried, Pixar seems to be doing its own thing still, and Disney reportedly did this to tap into the "boy/guy" market more, which they aren't as strong in. So they're probably going to let them have free reign.
Still... it's a very weird pairing. Today's corporate culture is so... odd.

Did you all enjoy Kill Bill? What about Lost? Do either of those feel "Disney" to you?
SURPRISE! The companies that made both are owned by Disney.
I'm not concerned at all. The comics will remain largely unchanged. Marvel isn't really putting anything interesting out on TV. Their near-future movies are already done deals. The only question mark for me is what's going to happen to the Universal Studio's park Islands of Adventure, which pretty popularly boasts an entire "Island" of Marvel-themed rides and attractions.

Johans Brothers and Spider Man take on the Naked Brothers and Magneto!
Captain America gets a life lesson from Hannah Montana!
Mickey Mouse succumbs to the dark side and joins the Sinister Six!
[edit cuz I couldn't help myself]
The Suite Life with Zack and Cody......and the Hulk!
Xmen Origins: Highschool musical 4
Toontown meets Marvel online? The next big MMO.
....and Marvel was *making* money/profits off the majority of their movies.
I just hope this means some kind of Incredibles 2 with special guest star heroes can finally be made.
