Yeah I can see where you get the 2-3x more people PvPing figure from.

Freedom RV just now:

16 Fight Clubbers in the train

6 PvPers zone PvPing

LOL

*Edit. Scratch that 6 figure. 2 of the 6 were Fight Club outlaws attacking the police. So 4 PvPers zone PvPing LOL

**Edit. Yes very impressive post I13 numbers for a monday afternoon! LOL

***Edit. Can't forget to include the 1 pill box badger.

Wow looky someone wrote a thread with me in the title, I'm famous!

I'll just assume you're being facetious with this thread since you really couldn’t be talking about PvP during none peak play time, when that's what we've been discussing up to this point.

I'm very interested to see how the head start on CO will effect this evenings zone turnout. Here is to hoping its not too brutal.

Quite an impressive turnout in RV last night to my relief. We averaged 45 players in zone between 8-10pm ET, and capped out around 50 right before 9pm ET. (though it could have been higher since I was only checking every 30 mins) Considering 8 v 8 Monday night arena kickball was going on at the same time and pulling away some of our zone players, I have to say I'm impressed. I broke up a 5 man fight club ring right at 8pm ET, but after that each 30 min sweep of the zone turned up no fight clubbers for the rest of the evening. While CO appears to be putting pressure on the PvE side of the game with the server pop down last night, it has done nothing to our RV PvP following.

A large shocker as well was running a count of stalkers during each head count. Stalker count never exceeded 6 of the total villain population in zone. Corruptors seemed to have the lead at each count, followed closely by dominators.

As a side note, the lag that some players are experiencing is definitely justified. You ether have a box with the power to display 50 people's powers activating or you don't, pretty cut and dry. If you don't have the cash to buy a computer capable of not getting crushed by this new rush of people, then it would be in your best interest to move on to another game.

All your posting about the numbers in RV on Freedom prove one thing and one thing only.Freedom has a pvp population in RV. Its still about the same as pre13. In addition, ALOT of people transferred to Freedom specifically to pvp. Ironically, the server transfer fee will fund the development of new booster packs and costume pieces for pve'ers. Har!! Har!!! The laughs on us!!!

I'd like you to go do a pvp numbers poll on all the other servers and then compare it to whats on Freedom. That might give you a better idea of how many players actually pvp post changes in the game ,WarHamster.

All this freedom pvp movement left the other servers HIGH AND DRY in pvp department.

Small servers need a bailout! Send us pvp'rs!

Nah, don't make him do that. Wouldn't want to see numbers that are useful in more than a vaccuum, would we?

Actually? I think they figured out how to balance pvp and pve. The pvp'ers bankroll the pve wishlist through server transfer fees. Brilliant marketing plan! Too bad there aren't so many pvp'ers left. Think of the cash they could amass for development of booster packs and NCStore bought game additions if the pvp crowd willing to shell out cash just to pvp was larger. Hell? Freedom RV,SC,WB and BB would all have healthy populations and see multiple instances regularly.

O wait. I forgot they now have to increase the budget delegated for costume design and new shiney's to hiring customer service reps and GM's to police AE missions and handle the complaints when players get po'd cause their arch got pulled. Nevermind... The budget to oversee AE surpasses new development. So? We are funding the AE police!! Go us!!

Sorry for the threadjack.

Mr. Bloodmark is correct. Freedom RV is consistently active at almost all hours from what I'd seen. The actual population of PvPers really didn't take much of a hit with i13 - Most PvPers are casual, and don't care enough about the changes to stop playing.

All I know is that I had a blast tonight with my Shade in RV tonight. I died, got some rep and had an all around great time. But I am casual in the PvP area as you stated.

Badging in a PvP zone?

If you are treasure hunting on a battlefield wearing an enemy uniform, there is a high probability that you will be attacked.

Even before i13 i have always had all my vills on freedom, i used to keep my heroes on triump and my vills on freedom since i started playing. And i can tell you that freedom numbers are about the same if not less, the main thing that is missing is quality fights, as most of the good players quit. All that mostly play now is a collection of folk that think they can, and if they lose they cry and come up with some reason why they lost lol.

i miss ADD, and ajax and the others that used to make things interesting, especially in the arena.

The funny thing is, even though you seem like one of the whiners that got the changes made in the first place, you're probably still bad..------Macskull on Crop_of_shaolin

Subscription-wise, you might be right. Outside of ladder participants, I don't think many PvPers canceled their subscriptions. However, I'd be willing to bet most casual zone/arena PvPers either stopped PvPing entirely or gave up and just transferred to Freedom because there was still a somewhat solvent PvP population there, even after I13. As far as I can tell, that's the only thing that would lead to lower PvP populations on almost all other servers (other than PvPers leaving for secondary issues such as the MA bans or other game changes).

Considering we were averaging a grand total of 20-22 people total in RV as recently as right after i12 went live (I took nightly head counts) I'd say we're doing excellent at the moment. I have no idea where you are getting your numbers, the current RV population destroys that of the turnout we had prior. (If you don't 'agree' with my numbers then ignore them. The lag people are experiencing speaks for itself. Lag increase for low end computers and or less than fiber internet connections proves my point definitively. Greater player total centered in one area in a game not designed to support that style of play, all activating powers at the same time is going to give those computers seizures) I've always argued that the current population in RV is greater on the 2 servers I play on, I have never said it was impossible that server transfers could play no part in a % of this population increase, so what exactly is your point? The main sticking point has always been a total increase in player turnout.

Considering I have no spreadsheet data in RV available for more than the 2 servers I have ever played on, any current population tally I could get from all servers now would be worthless for comparison purposes.

Not all of the new people are like this though. I am not good at PVP, especially on my WarShade, so I cant bring quality. I can bring a fight to you and I am not afraid that you might win. If you do, I don't complain, I just hosp it and come back for more. Sometimes I win, sometimes I don't. But I know what I am getting in to when I go to RV.

I am set up for PVE play but I still have fun. I dont like being droned that much, but that's just because I believe that if you have to drone me to beat a Warshade then you need more help than I do. I go there to fight, so fight me.

I am an adult, I know I wont win every time but I know that sometimes I will too. Maybe it doesn't bother me because I don't just PVP. I run TF's, I badge hunt and run regular content with my wife and friends. PVP is what I use when I don't want to do those other things. It is fun and I have a good time. I really do wish that we all could.

Sorry if I misunderstood your prior posts in this thread and others. I was under the impression from several posts I have read by you that pvp popularity has increased across the boards on all servers post 12. I was simply pointing out that noone disagrees that Freedom has an RV population. To intimate that pvp popularity has increased based on Freedom zone activity in ONE zone is just silly in my opinion.

If I misunderstood I sincerely apologize.

P.S. As you say "the point has always been an increase in total player turnout". Total player turnout to me means ALL servers and more than one active zone inhabitated by players.Ya know? Pvp'ing.....

" Increase in player turnout" encompasses more than Freedom turnout. To state that there is any other server with the same numbers in RV as Freedom is just flatout idiotic. There isn't another server with a decent amount of players in RV or any other pvp zone. I mean WarBurg, Siren's Call and Bloody Bay are deserted and have been deserted for issue after issue. What a waste of resources to develop 4 zones used by maybe 400 players( across all servers) "total" on any given day//night?(The 400 players number is generous.)

^^^^ That last sentence is my point. Here we are issues since pvp was first released and in a sadder state as a pvp community( population wise) than ever. Any player that disputes that FACT is delusional. No offense meant,WarHamster. I hope I clarified my "point".

I find it a touch ironic that PvPers have decided there is a wrong way to play this game. Which is even more funny because all of the non-farmers who have implied as much have been ostracized and mocked. Of course, some PvPers are probably the very ones who said "let people play how they want." I guess that really translates to "don't tell ME how to play, but I will dictate the rules of activities that I like to do."

QFT!

Yeah the nerve of those Fight Club PvPers! Always griefing us Zone PvPers in broadcast, ridiculing us for using all of our powers and inspirations, and always sending petitions so we get banned. FIGHT CLUBBERS ARE MEAN AND NASTY AND EVIL AND PREJUDICE!

In these dark times at least we have the Fight Club Police on our side!

I'm always more than happy to answer any questions you have. Look me up anytime in game @Warhamster. You'll always find me in RV on ether my Peace Bringer Lt. Blood, or my Stalker Blood Mark. Can always switch to my stalker and team up. Best practice there is is a double stalker tag team.

As a side note, now that the ladder is gone all the secrets can be revealed. It was like pulling teeth to get a good stalker on the ladder to help you back in the day.

No apology needed, all in good fun. To be blunt, I honestly don't care what the total RV player turnout is on any server I don't play on. That may be a upsetting comment to some, but since the PvP player base has no real effect on the survivability of the game, why not be selfish?

The thing that really sparked all this conflict is the staggering comments that have been flying around regarding the Freedom RV population pre i13 and now. This perception that things have not changed has baffled me. Who cares WHY we've jumped to a strong population in RV? Don't concern yourself with the argument that the changes in i13 did or did not spark more PvPers. (this has been a real sore spot for a ton of posts I've read up to now) Just kick back and enjoy what right now is the best most populated RV zone PvP we've ever had.

I just have to say this:

Infinity Pre-i13 - RV and sirens would have some action in it every evening. You had dUmb, Integrity, and several others who transfered over for Infinity PvP leagues.

Now? Its just fiteklub and a few scattered people.

Freedom might have more PvPers on it now, but as a whole, most servers' PvP population has dropped.
