The European Character Copy tool is back!

The European Character Copy tool is now part of the forums and is available at the bottom of the Development section. The previous URL will redirect to its new location but make sure to update your bookmarks!

Please do let us know if you were to encounter any issue with it at all so we can get them taken care of as quickly as possible.

Also note that it recognises your account and will only give you access to the list of servers corresponding to your territory once you have logged into the forums.

Yay!!! Already selected the characters i want to test this issue with so got them in early before the rush happens.

Big congrats though, so much easier and simpler than the old method. Big pluses there

EU test server has been updated, splash page now reads "Welcome to Issue 16", currently downloading the patch

Why make it forum login depending?

Now i have to swap around my accounts on the forum everytime And thats where the cookies wont really help me, either i keep getting logged out or i suddenly am back in my other account.

edit: worse, i have 4 accounts...

I have been trying for 2 days,without sucess,to transfer some toons from my main account to euro PTS.

I am wondering if the server transfer is not working correctly or i am doing something wrong.

Following the login,i select the server i wish to transfer from and the list shows "copy in progress" , but this has been the same situation for 2 days now.

Perhaps someone can help?

The Character copy tool was restarted and I've just copied a character over and it worked after a couple of minutes. Let me know if it still doesn't work for some of you and we'll get it looked into.

It seems that the character copy tool is broken/down again. Tried a few times in the last 24 hours to copy a character across but with no success.

Seems to have been down all day and most of last night for sure.

If you've been able to copy within a month, you're doing better than the NA servers.

Unable to copy any characters over to test im just getting the message : "The selected service is currently unavailable..."

just me or anyone else?

Sorry all. We're in touch with the relevant team to get it back up and running as soon as possible. The recent server move is requiring additional work before the copy tool can resurrect. I will keep you posted in this thread: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showt...01#post3330401

Thanks anyway, Avatea. But maybe feed this batch of EU techs to Mako and get some new ones? Certainly in time for the next Beta...
