Here's my ordeal, the clone of my name "GATTACA_EU" has never posted on the forums, so I say "Oh, well. They won't notice, and if I had to change my forum handle, people would notice :/ Some people.."

I think that outcome is pretty much inevitable for any method they could have come up with. If you can come up with a system that makes everyone happy, go for it.

At least this way the unmarked name will more likely go to the person who looks at the forums more, thus the name is "more valuable" to them.

As for the time differential? Also inevitable. EU had it good for a lot of years in terms of getting dev info earlier than we did. Occasionally it ought to pay off for the people on this side of the pond. It's EU prime time right now, they're not totally unlikely to notice. It's not like most people go to sleep before 8pm over there. Things are different but not that different.

Those of you that have never changed your birth date on the forums, you may want to double check it now. Changing names forces me to give you a birth date so i'm making them up as I go heh

How fast? I barely closed my mail client! As an aside, what is happening for the secondary accounts for those of us who own _EU and _NA (and one or the other is inactive).

Any chance of getting the posts assigned to our live accounts?

If we wait till after the date, then change it, will you give us a birthday present? Or will we have to keep the date all the time in order to qualify for a birthday gift, like animated hair?

Posts don't matter - it's the name that's important - post numbers change, names don't

Those of you that have the _EU and _NA with the same registered email are being merged together. This is why I asked people to please mention if both names are yours. If the emails do not match the first one to email gets the name.

*Not positive on whether or not the posts counts get merged.

Those of you worried about someone else emailing in and taking a name from someone with a _NA or _EU are safe. _NA and _EU get first priority on the "Proper" name. So those people without the _EU or _NA will automatically get their 2nd or 3rd etc. choice.
