Well... it was news to me until I read it in your post!
Very cool!
I hope we see more new/proliferated ancillaries added in to match up with all of the powersets eventually! 
Haha, they're behind though... We want Electric Mastery for Scrappers now! Heehee!

I'm not emo villain hero-hating guy, I'm just a guy that loves his stalkers and they're not getting *anything* shiny. Broadsword's AS would have to be so full of awesome, my monitor explodes and sends shrapnel flying in my face to make up for the lack of 'cool' we get.

It's got a whoosh and a CRUNCH sound, a big anime red flash, even the NAME- Headsplitter- is unbelievably badass. Stalkers should be honoured to recieve the set once only Scrappers were awesome enough to have.
I wonder at what 'requirement' the 5th power will be. Like the last added were '2 others required', hopefully these will be first pickable. (i dont like static discharge, its stupid).

That works too, but then you can replace the flyswatter with, say...a lead pipe and do the same motion on something and it won't be getting up.
Do that with headsplitter and you're going to get a "Ow! What are you hitting me with a blunt pipe for? You crazy!?" Funny, but totally not as painful.
They call it "Power Proliferation" but really it's a redesign of the originals in most cases. The villain versions are often different to the hero counterparts in some way and vice versa. The most obvious change being that of Empathy becoming Pain Domination, losing it's Regen/Recov Auras (two of the most incredible powers an empath gets) and instead earning Soothing Aura and Anguishing Cry. Personally, I think villains got a raw deal.

If I had to rank melee attacks in terms of coolness, I'd go Head Splitter -> Sweeping Strike -> Energy Transfer -> Seismic Smash -> Eagle's Claw. I wouldn't even enter Golden Dragonfly into the mix. It's cool and all, but nowhere near the punch or the flash of Headsplitter. The red Pillar of Pain is the only thing that keeps it cool.

You know what is awesome about Broadsword Stalkers? I'll tell you what is awesome about Broadsword Stalkers. Finally I can play a villain who can use that big evil sword you get from Romie. It's about damn time.

Nothing too new except the following juicy tidbit "Additionally, we also conducted a mini-proliferation pass on the Ancillary and Patron Power Pools, adding 5th powers to most Pools and adding Blaze Mastery for Scrappers. This has been something which people have been asking for since Fire primaries and secondary's were given to them."
Did I get scooped on this yet or is it still news?
