Cashoo's CoX artwork + art requests!
All of these are astonishingly great, but I have to say, the fact that Hyperborean Tempest has a Popsicle made me laugh out loud.
Sterling work, as a wise and wonderful fellow often says.

O there looking very nice i most say
Welcome to the forums Pirate (and sorry for the delayed welcome! I'm usually on top of the forums but I've just been skimming around the past few days).
I look forward to seeing what you come up with for those who have submitted references. Just don't get overwhelmed too quickly, and stop when you want to stop. I would hate for you to get burned out. |
Wow...that's some awesome work Cashoo!
I suspect I'm too late, but I'll toss my character Draggynn a storm/psi defender on the pile anyway. I would definitely be willing to pay for a comission from you if there might be a link somewhere that has information... Um and forumites in general, is there a way to scale pictures after linking them...these are larger than is ideal.... [OOO, photobucket lets me scale them there...I guess i can scale them on that end] -picture snip- Draggynn is the quiet type and avoids confrontation when possible. He strives to be diplomatic and a peace keeper, but has a mean streak when it comes to Crey Industries. I have no pose preference but he flies and something crouching might work well for him. |
My commission info can be found here: [click]
Cashoo, your stuff is insanely awesome. It... it hurts me to call myself an artist when there's people like you running around. ;_;

I can't wait to do your picture.

Sorry I don't have anything new today. But I might as well post something, so here is a commission I finished today.
(This is okay to post, right? I mean, there's nothing showing!)
My goodness, Cashoo. That's fantastic. One of my favorite things about your work is the use of color in it. You have a real handle on how to get your colors to mesh well together and still be bold but not overpowering. I don't tend to see that very often, so it's really a treat to have a combination of strong gesture and colorwork in one artist. You remind me quite a bit of Mr. Shia/DrunkFu actually. His style is similar in that regard and he's also another of those artists that I'm insanely jealous of.

The Guide to BURN
I cant say how much i love your style (even though I'm not much of a fan of macabre themes). I especially love the way your pictures seem to look so natural and flowing at times.
Damn you for tempting me to buy commissions! DAMN YOU! *walks off ranting about pirates stealing his money with mind control*
Yet further prettiness! Impressive, verily. I also be tempted by commissionery of various sorts - 'cept I don't know how paypal handles currency changes and their site apparently doesn't want me to make an account-type thing, dunno why. o.o
Character references! Artz! Whatnot!
Very impressive use of colours, and the poses are fantastic.
And on the chance you ever have free time ever again, it would be cool to see some art of Lady Fade (and more pictures for reference). Hard hitting, acrobatic hero by night. Hard drinking, tough as nails construction worker by day.
Welcome to the forums, and keep up the stunning work.
Wow, lots of wonderful requests! Thanks so much guys, I already have a lot of interesting poses in mind. Also (I think I will also edit this in my first post), if you guys have any expressions you want your character to convey, please say so in your post. Same goes for mood/theme. I don't want to draw a character with a generally dark demeanor smiling sweetly!
And thank you for the kind welcome. I've noticed this community is very welcoming and caring, like Pyro said. It's hard to find such respect in other places on the web. I'll do a few pics today~ |
Welcome aboard Pirate Cashoo.
I'm a long time artist (traditional not digital though) and 4year+ veteran of CoH but relatively new to the art forums
(they have a forum for teh artz? why wasn't I notified!).
I would love to see you take a crack at either of my mains Xllusya...
Xllusya (Illusion/Empathy Controller) is the goddess of Illusions Sunlight and Lightning. Her Bio/background is here.
She has large golden eyes, pointy elven ears and (for her primary costume)wears the patrician toga, gold Helenic sandals,
gold Victory Laurel leaf crown, loops of gold chain on her neck, a golden headband and is seen wielding the Nemesis Staff.
Powers are white (illusions and blinding flashes), gold/orange (sunsparks when she strikes something with her fists)
and purple (the lightning that crawls on her body and her staff and the power spikes on her hands when gathering
power to distance teleport). When summoned she often appears in a beam of sunlight.
Her moods would be benevolent and protective (almost maternal) when with her followers or priestesses or
vengeful when facing minions of the Clockwork King. She has also recently attained a golden halo.
or Chloe Macomber...
Chloe (Dark Miasma/Radiation Defender) is a witch and the rightful ruler of the cabal in Croatoa.
She was usurped by her younger sister Mary. Her bio is here. More shots to choose from here.
She used to wear the Duster wide brim hat until she defeated Mary in the trial of 10 and earned the right to wear the witches hat.
I have to say I agree with the others here.
Love the work, your images all seem so... pep and upbeat!
They give off a happy fibe!
And I like it!
Keep up the good work!

OK now that i have some time to sit back and preview your work Cashoo i got to just add that you have an awesome style. I love the cartoony feel to it even though there is more of a real life feel as well. Welcome to the forums, i am sure you are going to have a lot of requests. I love your latest entry.
Speaking of requests i just updated my SUBMISSION for your approval
Looking forward to your future stuff man!

Sorry I haven't posted in a day or two! I've been a little busy!
I have a few pics, but only one of them is an actual request, lol. I'm going in random order again apparently.
Im on the first page, but i thought id add a little more detail to my post...
Hes basically a "dark figure"-esque kinda fella. No auras as of yet, and hes /Invulnerability to go with his white eyes |
Blarg, short legs are shoooort! *will remember not to neglect it next time* My deepest apologies! Just focus on the head!
A WIP of a commission I'm currently doing:
One of my toons, Sethinstra:
And a comic-thing I thought up of the other day. I found it funny considering how Cashoo is also a zombie... (click to enlarge)
Wow very nice!
I love that first one man, the third one with the skull is awesome!
Great to see ya back in it

Considering how happy people are with your art, I don't think anyone will care.

They are all working Wonders for me , the comic is a riot!, the wip look's great and the first one's leg's look fine to me. he's about 7 head's high, which is the proportion for a regular person, hero's are usually 8 head's high, so maybe that's why it looks odd to you. proportionately I cannot flaw it he's just a more realistic build
oh wow. I love your style if you are still taking requests, I have 2 characters that would be nice to see if you aren't too busy.
either my Hochroter Drache. her bio is here(it's the journal entry there) and she is noble and can seem like a stick in the mud, but tends to be friendly and gets into situations where she could seem like a fool. (reference is in my sig)
or my Ace of Crimson Clubs. a screenshot of her bio is HERE and her personality is a mix of quiet and brooding, and theatrical and sometimes flamboyant. (her reference is also in my sig)
you can do one, or both, or neither your choice
btw, poses don't really matter a ton to me, so do whatever you like
Well, if you still want things to draw you're more than welcome to draw some of my chars

I love the style of your work, and the quality is amazing for quickies like those. Hope it's not too late to pop a request!
This is Blade Goddess, my Dual Blades/Willpower Scrapper.
She's serious and stoic around others, but fun and boisterous around friends and people she knows well.
Clickie the image for full-size.
Important note: I used the 'Sinister' style for the markings on her leather, which is the closest I could get to blades; however, those blade-things are actually the legs of a widow, which was not my intention. If her sides are showing at all in the pose you chose, could you make it look... blade-y, instead of that widow thing? Thanks.

Wow the colors you did on that piece for Ibones really work. They are complimentary yet
still prominent and show off the character to great effect. I was going to mention the legs
seem a bit short but I seen now in your caption you noticed already... they don't really
detract all that much though you could almost miss it with all the other good stuff drawing
your attention. Lots of great detail work as I found my eyes darting back and forth to
different spots and back again. Great piece.
I really enjoy seeing WIPs as well so thanks for sharing that with us.
Some good action in the poses so far.
That comic was pretty funny, hey don't feel so bad I think that is how Vahz zombies show they like you... no really, they're always showing my blaster just how much they really care about him heh.
I like your villain as well. The top down view, while unusual, works well with the top hat, face stiches
and expression to lend menace to the piece. The red outline is a nice touch too.
Good stuff I can't wait to see more.
P.S. since you are going in a kind of backwards order... my references were submitted near the end...

The legs are barely even "too" short. I only noticed because i tend to make my characters have long legs as a result of my addiction to "urban" anime.
Thank you again!
