No I mean ad hominem. As my arguments are based in logic, ad hominem (read: emotive) points are largely irrelevant. Besides, I have seen the error of my ways :P

You have a lot of venom Yellowjacket. Please stop telling me how I am, why I do things, and what my motivations are. Chill out. We're not going to have an adult debate if you keep slinging mud.

But high horses aren't the same if everyone gets off them.

I love the smell of hypocrisy in the forum....
So you support the Rookery?
But you used to be anti-fluff?
Doesn't that make you a hypocrite too?

I suppose antagonism > "reasoned compromise".

There's nothing adult about this debate. The adults in this room fall into two camps: those who just ignore Rookery if they don't like it, and those who enjoy Rookery and partake of it when they feel like it.

Guess what Xan: you're in neither.

Nope. Hate it. Think its stupid, pointless, spam.
Would I rather it be one topic? Yes.
Do I find it hard to just...not click on the topics? Nope.
Is it worth bothering to moan endlessly about? Not really.

Honestly the whole bandwagoning of 'Hey, people kinda like this Haet guy, if I agree with him I'll be cool too!' irritates me more than the entire Rookery. The reason silent majority's are silent is because until there's a spotlight to leap into no one really cares enough.

Thanks for the insults Yellow Jacket. I'm done with this. It's not a big deal to me and I'm not going to get into a heated debate over a fluff thread LOL.

I'll spell it out for you: It's not hard to just ignore Rookery as is right now, but if you did that you wouldn't have a high horse to be on.
Actually, Sorah kept her fluff to already created threads. If it pertained to her, it would be in the "ZOMG What!?" thread. Otherwise, she'd post in context to whatever the thread at hand had derailed into (which was par for the course).

There's quite a bit of difference between that and a thread recreated daily.

"the reason there are so many sarcastic pvpers is we already had a better version of pvp taken away from us to appease bad players. Back then we chuckled at how bad players came here and whined. If we knew that was the actual voice devs would listen to instead of informed, educated players we probably would have been bigger dicks back then." -ConFlict

And one overwhelming, trumping similarity: you can ignore them both easily.

I think this quote goes to the 'defence' of the Rookery, thank you.

Seriously, I should put money on which hornets stir up. Patterns aren't just easy to spot, they're laughable.

Far easier to ignore one thread amongst a month's worth of postings than it is to ignore 30 threads within the same time.

Ignoring one thread as opposed to ignoring one thread each and every day.

One of these things is not like the other.

So, fluff that pervades every thread on the forum is preferable to fluff cordoned off in its own thread each day?

Well it worked for the Native Americans, right?

... this thread was a lot funner about six pages ago.

The Elysienne; Magical controller
Silent Sickle; Natural scrapper
And many more.
Aenigma Rebis: "Actually, Ely's more like Jean Grey. Only... smart."

But neither of them is so terribly, horrifically difficult that it cannot be done! I am pretty sure that you guys can soldier on, heroically, as it were, though the prescence of the Rookery offends you. You can do it. We have faith in you! Just one more click on the scrollwheel and you won't have to see the Rookery and the Rookery people can just keep on having fun. Everyone wins!

One fluff a day, fine.

10+ a day, got sickening.

No, I don't like the Rookery, but I can live with one fluff a day. It's labeled well so it's easily skipped. One thread a day, with all the fluff for that day in it. No problem. Sorah's was everywhere. That was what was annoying.

I have no idea Haet, but it pisses me off too because occasionally I have to agree with you(which does cause its own anguish) and I find I'm surrounded by fangirl/bois....
