The "what i've learnt today" thread

Today i learnt that repulsion field [the repel bubble epic for blasters?] deserves its tag as rubbish and almost cried when i realised i didnt have enough cash on that toon to buy a respec recipe.

Today i learnt to remember you have veteran respecs before trading over a ton of influence for a respec recipe.

Today i learnt the value of "think before you act".

Today i learnt that no matter how tense a situation is in atlas park, one single line of "the cake is a lie" will raise more than a few chuckles.

Today i learnt that no matter how "spec'd out" a character is, it cannot beat a character that has powers built to your playstyle [i still cant find a stronger character than my ill/rad!]

Today i learnt that annoying people dont like it when you annoy them back.

@Damz Find me on the global channel Union Chat. One of the best "chat channels" ingame!

today I learnt that no matter how bad a team leader I may be, I'm far from the worst.

@craggy see me on Union for TFs, SFs (please!) or just some good ol fashioned teaming.

Today I learnt that, with my creaky old computer, using Grandville as a shortcut does not make travelling quicker...

Today, I learned that Damz really is, without any doubt, a complete and utter n00b.

Pound for pound you probably won't either. That's pretty much the most effective power combination in the game right there. Blueside at any rate.

Never could get into that powerset myself, I have a rad on villains but never can be bothered on heroes.

And I can't stand Illusion (or MMs for that matter). I much prefer getting my own hands dirty. But that doesn't change the fact that the combo's pretty insane.

Today I learnt that a shaven head is a lot more manageable then a mohawk that wont stay up straight no matter how much hair gel or wax I use!

It's about 3 months since I learnt a similar lesson but with a 2 inch mohawk - which will easily spike up.

Now I just need enough blue bodypaint and I can play at being rogue trooper - much more fun than just going shaved!

Ah you younguns! Hairspray dah'ling, hairspray! The kind you can kill small flying insects with. Or build the equivalent of a medieval helm around your glorious head. And I don't mean them fancy new ones nowadays that you can get from a salon. I mean the ones you could buy at the shops, with gases that make you light headed and that make your hair so hard you can poke someone's eyes out AND scare small children. They can also be used as a flame-thrower in a pinch.

That'd be AquaNet over here, no idea what y'all would have but it's an aerosol, not some wimpy pump. And while your hair is wet, start spraying, then blow dry it into shape. Becareful though, with a mohawk that comes up in a thin blade you can cut up your pillow while you sleep.

Wax and a flannel cloth and Robert's your father's brother. For that extra shiny look.

Long time ago on my fire kin, when I was fist first purpling her.
I got REALLY angry that she didnt have enough recharge. **
So, after spending like 90% of my available Inf...
I went and bought a LotG +recharge off the market >.< full price was like 70 million*ish
Then I bought respec recipe 17 million*ish

and I respec her. She had like 2,986 left on her when I was done!

10 second later I got my next Vet badge and it was a respec... I went into the base to put a left over Pangeon Soil in the bin >.> and looked at what i had in the enhancement holder thingy and BAM I had a already built lvl 50 LotG +recharge IO just frakkin sitting there.

I learnt to look in the base before I do anything, ever.

PP that's possibly the saddest story I've ever heard.....as for what I've learned today: I've learned not to cry at work for fear of reprisals.

I don't wanna save my soul now,
I just wanna lose control,
And even if it takes a lifetime, to learn:
I'll learn!

I hate wearing hats, but I would happily sacrifice all of my hair on the altar of any deity or demonic entity you choose in exchange for a talking hat!

Although, all things considered, I'd prefer a talking T-shirt or a talking belt.

Sorry, it's the hat or a talking backpack.
