Get your Knives of Artemis Costume Code at the GamesCom!
I just had an awesome idea.
Have a raffle/lottery, once a year, where you ship one lucky player to one of the Con's that you guys'll be at.
I have spoken. And now, back to your regularly scheduled thread, already in progress.

Turg Fiction: IX is now LIVE on Architect Entertainment!
When I tried to click the link in the thread in the announcement forum it told me I wasn't allowed to do whatever I was trying to do. Just FYI. I had to come out and come to this forum to view this thread.

I'm rather frustrated with all the costume codes that CoH is giving out now.
I went to every NCSoft event in Texas for 4 and a half years, and they only start doing this for the other events after that. Figures.

Yukie Bikouchi, Halfway Lost, and others
Bah! Nothing like leaving out all the player base who can't travel to your cons. Least last year some sponsers had raffles and contest to get some of the costume codes, for those who could go.
All those conventions are way too far for me to travel anyway; and in the past they have offered plenty of alternatives in getting those codes, so I'm sure new ones will take off soonish
ps: GPBunny, I really love your avatar - they're my favorit teddy bears (forever friends). I actually have the set that spells I <3 U
i'll be there on Saturday!
Are there plans to run some events that us EU players can come to, or offer a way for us to get these codes too? What with Comic Con, Games Con and now the announcement of Hero Con 2009, all with special gear, codes, etc available for US players, we're feeling a bit left out.

You're not? Hmm..maybe it's just the people I speak to then. Please consider my statement amended to "...friends that I play with, and with whom I have attended UK based CoH/NCSoft events in the past, feel a bit left out." Hopefully that'll clear up any confusion, BR.

Splendidly rewritten I say!

There are people who with their accounts spend rather exuberant amounts of money on CoX with expansion packs, name changes, transfers, having two accounts. A perk for these people who have shown commitment to the game could be a bonus. It's clear that not everyone is able to get everywhere but its also pretty clear that some customers are more within spirit.
With Vet Rewards people could start unlocking these costumes that have been given out. You could have one a bit like the temp powers reward of Nem Staff or Blackwand. It can say KoA or PPD police, but I think when GR comes out may be the best time for that reward. Just as it hits.
He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.

its silly... these. codes they give out and perks for going to conventions are mainly to just inspire people that are close or in the area to show up.
I don't think the devs even expect people to travel cross country or trans-international at the cost of maybe $200+ plane ticket, for only maybe 2 or 3 days just to get a code for a for a game they already pay $15 a month for. lol
I understand this. The Devs and NCsoft as a whole want to show their thanks some how to the people that came out and were able to make it to the event. What better way to show their thanks than to offer them a costume code. It's nothing against the people that can't make it to the event, but they just want to be able to show the people that are able to make it out there some form of gratitude that maybe they can show off in game even.
Besides I'm sure... the same offer will be made for every one of Paragon Studio's treasured customers... us; within or in about a year or so, during some type of event or for only $9.99
Fear not fair heroes... we are all appreciated by those that bring us the game we subscribe to. Surely what may seem as a bias now will not be as such. Just give it time.
Must be nice to be American... Being Canadian means we miss out like the EU kids. And we're CLOSER.
ooh btw ... i got my code a few days ago !
thnx !
I wouldn't mind an east coast con...Florida is nice...NYC is awesome...Boston will be great.
I just dont like the idea of going to these cons just for CoH and having to shell out $xxx.xxx to go visit the devs and pick up a code.
I can see why they wont come to the east coast for the same reason we wont go to the west coast.... it costs too much damn money to fly.

In order to get your very own Knives of Artemis Costume Code, you need to have an active City of Heroes account and go to the NCsoft booth (Hall 9) between the 20th and 23rd August 2009. When you are there, ask to speak with Jenny our mysterious City of Heroes representative and give them the email address that is registered on your NCsoft Master Account. Once the GamesCom is over, you will be receiving an email from us containing that much coveted code.
So dont forget, its all happening at the NCsoft booth (Hall 9)!
Please note that we are only able to give one code per individual and that those codes can only be applied to European City of Heroes game accounts.
