I hate the new forum!

No luck. It's gotten better, but I'm still having to log on multiple times and occasionally get logged off by clicking on links.

I just realized I'm not running firefox 3.5, so that will be my next attempt.

The quick-resolve issue would be to just not use Firefox. But, I realize Firefox users are like Apple users.... They will defend their product to the death, though they may know that alternate products exist, and do just as good (or even better in some cases) of a job as their "product of choice."

I may get *crushed* for even saying this, but personally, I use Maxthon. Has the same open-endedness as Firefox, same great support, many of the same exact plug-ins, and I've never experienced a single problem I continue to see Firefox users post about when they visit certain websites with certain code that didn't take Firefox into conderation when it was made...

Good luck with your Firefox though... Maybe they'll fix it one of these days... :P

Seriously though, I have many, many friends who use it and love it, so I don't have anything personally against the program... I just haven't switched to it because, well, I haven't had a single reason to as of yet.

I leave the stay logged in thing checked... prior to clearing my cookies/cache it did nothing, now it says I'm logged on... until I click on a link. then I'm magically logged out.

While this issue is firefox related, I feel it is a combination of factors. 1. I only have an issue on this particular forum. Not all firefox users are having trouble, and not all people having trouble are using firefox, though the problem seems more common in firefox than other browsers.

and Golden... While these forums dont give me trouble with IE, the inherent design flaws and security issues in the software make me question the use of that software for anything.

Funny my Netscape 7.2 has no trouble with the Forum.

I'm having the same problems with Firefox. I just gave in and starting using Internet Exploiter. My real hate for IE is that it's quick to download any old rubbish that it's asked to, whereas I can run Noscript on Mozilla and bypass most of the annoying sites. For that reason I only have one site favourited on IE, and it's this one. I'm going to have to be paranoid about clicking those links too. I've already been hit by viruses using IE in the past, which is why I switched to Mozilla in the first place.

I've tried all kinds of things to try and get Mozilla to accept this site, but none have worked so far. I'll keep trying and maybe, just maybe, I'll be able to leave IE behind like it deserves.

I have it set to auto-update, so I've always got the latest build.

browser problems can be really annoying, good luck sorting yours out.

one idea that hasn't been suggested is making an adware/malware sweep of your hard drive- some of them cause odd behavior.

I hate the new forums because my avatar only shows up half the time, and I can't figure out how to put those nifty looking pics in my signature....and yes, PK, I read your sticky, and I still can't figure it out.

I did that, twice I think, but I think my pic takes up more lines than I'm allowed. But I'll fiddle with it some more.

Is ALREADY taking up 4 lines! Note the empty line. If you delete those hard enters, it should all be able to fit.

Use the "pipe" instead of a hard enter, it saves space, like in my signature. Try this maybe:

That would only take up, one or TWO lines at most, plenty to add an image.

Code? What code, just right click the image and choose Save As, or Right click, copy the URL, and put it into your sig.... I don't understand...
