I think it's time for everyone to welcome their new Mastermind overlords.

This is awesome.

When I16 goes live the first thing I want to do now is find a mission with a door ambush.
Then set it for 8

I think this is a great change, but now I question the need for the change in the two upgrade powers. Wasn't the point of that to speed the setup process when entering a mission? Now, the only time we'll need to resummon is when the henchmen die, and it's unlikely for all of them to die at once unless the mastermind does.

So I guess my point is, since most resummoning will be done in combat situations now, are massive endurance hog upgrade powers still desirable?

I don't know about it being desirable for the new AoE upgrades, but I do think that it's balanced for them to cost a lot. And I certainly don't want to go back to three minute setups.

Pets zoning means they'll always be out, not that they'll rarely be summoned. Try running across a zone appropriate to your level with your pets trailing behind and see how many survive to make it to the other side.

Excellent change though. I dislike masterminds only ever having their henchmen in missions.

I think it's a small perk for when you are able to travel short distances between zones. It will also be nice when you are at the mission door, but waiting for the team to fill up that you can summon everything, and then be ready when the team is. I don't consider it a huge perk, but it's a nice addition.

Yes, considering that one of the other times you need to resummon a lot of pets is when something wipes out most of them with AoEs. I like being able to whip out a new batch of henchmen that fast. Now, if they could make the upgrade endurance cost dependant on how many actually get upgraded . . .

Wait, they didn't welcome us already? Why haven't we been crushing them underfoot?!

You kidding? and get goopy guts and blood on these new shoes? NOT worth the effort!

Hmmm, I don't know why, but I think I'll be resummoning when entering zones if only because of the constant need of having to.

All MM Hami raid anyone? Imagine it, 50 Masterminds all raiding the Hamidon. Mind you we wouldn't get any progress done, but the epic lag would be a story worth telling.

Fantastic.

Now there's no way I'll ever be able to visit the black market, tailor, or get on a ferry without wading through 34978234 robots jumping over themselves to bubble each other and make clankity clank noises.

Totally awesome.

This. And for more reasons than just the topic at hand. I noticed yesterday in an arena match with my SG that at the start time for buffing, it took most my end just to get my pets out and ready, and didn't have enough time to recover before the match actually started. And during it, if a pet died, I could resummon him sure, but there was no way I was going to waste the end on rebuffing them. Though of course I havn't put any money into my thugs/dark yet so IOs could fix this.

But, on topic, Woohoo! Always hated not being able to show off my pet names

There is a GREAT slotting scheme using Pet Damage IO sets.

Blood Mandate: Acc/Dam
Blood Mandate: Dam/End
Blood Mandate: Acc/Dam/End
Sovereign Right: Acc/Dam
Sovereign Right: Dam/End
Sovereign Right: Acc/Dam/End

Works wonders to reduce endurance costs of pets, increase their attack acc multiplier, and even have a good source of damage. Try it some time if you have the infamy.
