Well, at least you admitted you're a kid. And I have no need to sit at this "big kids'" table, I would much prefer to sit with my family and friends.

When did you ever say "armed forces"? Stop making up excuses to avoid admiting you were wrong o.O And I wasn't taking pokes at your rep, I was just pointing out that what you were saying was incorrect. There is a difference.

    FRAME-RATE!

But no, HnS has spoken. That video clearly states it's a secondary weapon to Swords and Spears, so we should get both of those first, then whips.
They also mentioned that it was a favored weapon for assassination.

So am I, but I'll leave it with this statement.

You're trying to use real life examples to explain why you don't think something can work in a super hero game.

    Notice anything flawed?

    Just use a gun already.

Far as a whip set goes... Yes. The presence of a whip set in the game might make a whip set more likely.
Wait wait, whips don't do a lot? What world do you come from? Whips don't just bruise. And they can also be used to immobilize your opponent as well as disarm them. A gun won't do you a lot of good if it's yanked out of your hands.
  6. From how I read you like to play, I'd say Bots/dark. Though they do feel a little slow until you get all of them, they are a lot of fun. Once you get them all and both buffs, they become killing machines (literally too :P). The pets will stay at range for the most part, so you don't have them dying to AoE all that often (The assault bot sometimes likes to run up and smack people, but he doesn't take too much damage being your boss pet). They do a ton of damage later on, and sitting there watching the sea of orange numbers in a pack of mobs is always fun :P Dark, as you mentioned, is quite active. And the extra pet just adds to the fun. I haven't found myself able to play any other secondary for MMs.

You mentioned that all you really saw was bots and thugs, this is probably because these are (I believe) the two top for AoE and well, from my experience, both very fun. In the end, just play what you find the most entertaining. Test out what people are recommending and see which suits you better.

I can't say anything about necro. I can't get around the minions hopping around like rabbits.
Mercs are a bit weird. I've heard a lot of mixed things about them. Some people say they love it, and others say it doesn't do enough damage. I haven't played one myself past like 12 so I can't really say.
Ninjas I think will be the next MM I level. They seem more for PvP and AVs because of the def debuffs. One of the MMs in my sg runs Ninja/Dark and loves it, so might be worth a try.

Edit: Forgot to mention, don't forget about Demons coming out with Going Rogue. Hoping they will be interesting

This. And for more reasons than just the topic at hand. I noticed yesterday in an arena match with my SG that at the start time for buffing, it took most my end just to get my pets out and ready, and didn't have enough time to recover before the match actually started. And during it, if a pet died, I could resummon him sure, but there was no way I was going to waste the end on rebuffing them. Though of course I havn't put any money into my thugs/dark yet so IOs could fix this.

But, on topic, Woohoo! Always hated not being able to show off my pet names

This is similar to what I was thinking. For each MM primary, there is at least one group that fits their style.

    Bots - Malta
    Ninjas- Tsoo
    Mercs - 5th Column
    Thugs - Family
Necromancy - (The name eludes me but) The undead in Dark Astoria.
As for the upcoming demons, CoT has more than enough demon models for it.

And of course this was just a list of examples. I'm not sure how much work it would take to implement something like this, but it would be a decent start for MMs and customization.
