That's user error. On the left of most forum titles, there's a down arrow that will lead to the latest post on the thread. Not exactly the equivalent of the old forums, but a good way to get where you want to go.

In regards to the digests, it's a known issue. Really no more need to report the obviously broken digests

Also, Zombie_Man's made this handy temp digest to look at recent posts from oft-posting devs and reps.

Bug Description: I get logged out randomly. I use tabs, with each new thread I read I open a new tab. Most times this works fine. Some tabs seemingly open up logged out, then all my tabs are logged out. This all happens intermittently, and I have not yet figured out what triggers it.

Bug: Unable to log in. Well, to put it more succinctly, I can log in up to the screen where it welcomes me and attempts to redirect. However, upon redirection I find I am not logged in after all and have to reinput all my data. I'm currently using Internet Explorer to view this site.

O/S: As above
Browser: Internet Explorer 8.0.6
Bug: "Bad input" error recieved after some posts. My last one had no real formatting of any kind and none of the annoying characters that should have been a problem, yet still I received this page. I am willing to PM a copy of the troublesome post to any mods who wish it.

Browser: Google Chrome (but happens in IE8 too)
Forum: All of them
Bug Description: Everything gets "marked as read" at certain times (unable to determine the trigger - doesn't just seem to be upon forum visits - maybe it's time-based), seemingly at random, whether I've read the topics or not.

OS: WinXP

Forum: Any (including this one)
Bug Description: Cannot post from FireFox (this is being posted in IE7 on the same computer). Can log in, read fora, but clicking "New Reply" takes me to the vBulletin access denied page. Flushed all cookies from previous forum software (this was necessary to be able to log in).

Operating System (Vista, XP, OS X version): XP
Browser: IE
Forum: Forum Games
Bug Description:

What it seems to be boiling down to is that I cannot post in any thread that I posted in prior to the merge, like AASQ in the Games section. I get a blank page that says "Done" at the bottom.

A fuller description is here: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=184814

But nothing I have tried that was suggested in the thread seems to help.

"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"

"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."

All of the links to any of the guides bring up a 404 error.

My login info is not persisting. I login, the board welcomes me, then promptly forgets. When I tried to make this reply (after logging in), I got a not-logged-in message and had the opportunity to once again enter the login info. That time it worked.

In the interests of completeness, let me relate that I looked at my options for displaying threads, and was at Hybrid.

I switched it to Linear: Oldest First and the problem disappeared.

Ah, well--- whatever works. I could not tell you why.

Browser: Google Chrome

Forum: all of them, apparently

Bug Description: the thread page fails to load and I get the error message: Fatal error: Memcache is not installed in [path]/includes/class_datastore.php on line 186. I don't know enough about PCs to even guess whether that's a PC issue, a Google Chrome issue, or an issue with this forum's software, but I do know that so far it's only happening on this forum so I suspect the latter.

Link to Forum Post: I first got this bug while I was trying to post a response to this thread (Positron's Super-Sidekicking post) - and as I result I lost all of the response I had composed (so I guess I'll have to go back to distrusting the forums and writing all my posts in Notepad/Word first), but I am now getting the exact same error message not only when posting a reply but also 50% of the time when I try to open new topics or refresh a page on a thread I've been reading.

Apparently Ex_Libris was retroactively modding way back in 2004 and using the names Cal and Mojo.

Or, she's the 5th Column Burkholder of the boards and appears as default for deleted or broken names.

Simply out, if I use IE8, I remain logged-in. However, if I use FF 3.5.2, I can log-in, but it never sticks. The next time I visit the forum, I need to relog.

Bug Description: Cannot log in at all with Firefox 3.0.13 (the latest edition of the non-upgraded FF3).

This is not insignificant, as FF3.0 is still receiving updates from Mozilla, which of course means it is still considered a supported browser.

I can log in now that I've upgraded to FF3.5. If you're reading this, having problems, and you're using FF3.0, try upgrading. It is quick and painless, and your browser and accompanying features (like bookmarks and history) will work much, much faster.
