Again this stuff? Freedom its the expection among all servers...
It have been said over and over...

Heroes:
Plumber, Ice Desert Girl, Doc Goodheart, Banana Machoman, Pavattone, Penguin Shark, Sting like a Bee
Villains:
Bricklayer, Savage Dentist, Fruit Cocktail, H. Yashida, Shesinellek
You chose to swap to Europe as many of us did (You'd have to have, being a "54 veteran" - you were told at the time it was one way only).
Your choice. No one else's.

Um you do know that the US is a very big country...with a few timezones...8am is just 12 midnight on the West Coast..oh and the Aussies and New Zealanders tend to play on the US servers and there it would just be early in the morning..a saturday morning..so I cant say I'm that surprised with that sort of number on what is one the busiest servers.
This isn't to say that access to all servers, us to theirs, them to ours, wouldn't be a bad thing at all

Its a shame these threads happen at the weekend, I'd find them funnier on a Monday morning when my amusement level it much lower but they don't even raise a smile on a Saturday morning anymore

Don't forget the timezone spread across the U.S. It might have been 3 a.m. on the east coast but it's only midnight on the west coast. Another factor is players around the world, which set of servers would they choose: EU or US? Of course, they choose the US set as they have more players. If it is a free choice, that is the only choice worth making.
Whatever the time, you'll see players on US servers.
Whatever hurf blurf Avatea comes up with "hurdles ..." etc. the server listing should be merged for the greater benefit of all the players. Given how long something easier like merging forums has taken, won't hold breath.
Probably all irrelevant anyway, to those off to play CO.

Yesterday I tried to create an trial Europe account(14 days) for my wife. start from http://eu.cityofheroes.com/en/trial/ I recieved a trial account US 
Now I understand why the EU servers have deserted

I still have my original account at the US side, expensive job to keep all accounts upgraded with the goodies but the playerbase is way way bigger then EU side.
And btw not only Freedom, the others avarage are also bigger then defiant/union (ok defiant being serious small atm).
I just await the day they will merge it, in GW they said for years they wouldnt, but they eventualy did.

I made two trial accounts about a month ago, and had zero issue making EU accounts. 
Not tryin to upset you all here but I found people on the US server to be a lot friendlier and a LOT more helpful to new players (my first account was US)
I'm not saying there aren't some great people over here its just the general mood over there seemed to be much friendlier.

Instead of comparing freedom try one of the other US servers as its been said over and over freedom is for whatever reason a over populated server
Ohh, I thought you wanted to play on US servers.
The options are not all that straight forward inside NC account management, unless you know beforehand what you are looking for, then it's easier.

I think that depends on what you like doing. In atlas someone was TP foeing mobs that only required one more hit away from me preventing me from getting the defeat.
On villains it was a case of if you didn't like to farm or PL then you must be new.
The PuGs were always a bitter disappointment especially compared to Vigilance and Zukunft.
But much, much less lag.

This morning bst 8 am (3 am in us) I checked the U.S. server Freedom:
806 users online, Lags is NO BAD (equal or better to those in Europe) and users are also nice.
I'm near 54 veteran, lots badges, full pack... To play in US have to do a new account and starting from ZERO. Why?
