Also a possible mass EU cossie competition on ALL 4 EU servers with which i'ld log onto each server take screenies of EVERY cossie that turns up then [if shes up for it], post each one/the best ones [imo] onto here and either the public or Avatea will pick the best and get 100 - 200 million. To be fair i'ld either transfer my toon over to their server to give them the money.

The name proble will be in youre global name only. And that is a lot less of a problem to change if you have too...

Put the US servers on the server list. That way every US/EU player can choose a server they want, and would have to make characters with availible names on that server.
Just like making a char on union, then making one on defiant. Same concept.

Actually they said they couldn't do power customisation, not wouldn't.
Not sure a redname has ever said that server merging (in any shape) is impossible just that they have no plans to do so.

You're generalising with that statement just as badly as you're claiming they do.
I lived in America for years - and I got the "we saved you in WWII" comment more times than I can count. And even better, the "we beat you up in the Revloutionary War!" comment. But far more than I got that, I found out that on the whole (at least in the North East, where I lived), Americans are really generous, friendly, open, lovely individuals. That's actually one of the things I miss about the US.
Let's just remember that the internet tends to bring out the worst in people, it's a breeding ground for silly arguments and stupid comments, and it's the most obnoxious individuals who are the loudest. It's ridiculous to take how people of a certain nationality act on a forum as how that nationality is as a whole.
That said, I'm not a fan of nationalism and patriotism, and it's something you find in bucketloads in the US - but insulting them is only likely to cause us to see more of that kind of thing from those so inclined. And it might annoy the ones who aren't especially nationalistic for being tarred with that same brush.
Let's not turn the country vs. country arguments into a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Way to go to miss out the bolded phrase. I know some incredibly nice people from the US. But I've also met some right morons. And, sadly, as you said, the likelihood of meeting them in MMOs and on the net is much larger.

QFT. I look forward to more interaction with our American cousins. As a long time reader of their boards, I know there's some intelligent, thoughtful and funny people over there and it's going to be great to chat with them at last.
I've played briefly on the American servers and I found the people there no worse that the average PuG over here. A server list merge would be a good thing eventually but I'm in no rush for it.

What Techbot_Alpha is saying is true, there are some really nice Americans out there. I got a good few friends over in the US, but the ones you meet on MMO's and XBL (I find it particular in XBL) are complete morons and usually very competetive.
