Like anyone couldn't work that out! Yeah I made him 3 years ago (in August) and from day one I poured everything into that char. What many may/may-not know is all my chars are based on my real appearance. This char being the exact height and physique as I am. He even has the exact hair I had the day I made him. Over the course of playing him everyone kept referring to me simply as 'Star' and most gave nothing but tremendous praise about the obvious namesaking. So this char was the one who started my themed chars that I continue to this day.
As time progressed more and more, this char became a true fusion of tha avid gamer I am with my real persona. To this day his first costume slot, aside from adding an aura and cape, remains 100% unchanged. His look is me, his back story is me, his namesake is my favourite all-time villain in any medium and someone I identify with for personal reasons, his glorious powers are so me (and he was NEVER planned in mids and never will be)... I could go on but I've proven just how arrogant I am by this rant - just like his horrific namesake

also love the reincarnation of mad mud as a widow the toon Ive spent most inf on.
But my most reccent love is for a tank beef eater (Ice/SS).This is somewhat of a change for me as most tanks I've had havn't gotten past 30 (with the exception of mighty mud a inv/eng)
I have two. Sapphic Neko and Sapphic Shock.
Sapphic Neko exsists in about three diffrent incarnations :P the most fun of them tho is the Broadsword/Shield Scrapper.
Probably Legislate, my lvl 50 Inv/SS tank. Loved the concept for the character so much that I made Decimate, the Praetorian version. Currently I've got a BS/Shield scrapper version of Legislate at lvl 37.
I have two, my main hero and main villain. Kalis Elfling (and Kevin of course 
) was my first ever 50 and is by far my most complete character. He's the one I seem to automatically log on with all the time and the one who has the most play time by a loooooooooong way (I think about 800-1000 hours since hitting 50). The other is Nalar Elfling, my Dark/Dark brute. She's just so much fun to play and to RP too. She's an evil little b **ch with a great backstory and attitude. I love trotting her out when I'm feeling particularly mischevous

Yeah, a couple. Frazzle.d is just really me, but Chinch Bug my villian is just that perfect creation I'm really proud of, from the description to the build (but will need to go for AS since the class ability really needs it, originally wanted nothing to do with it because I eat things slowly omnomnomnom) and Ambassador of Ice is another one I quite enjoyed creating, researching to try and come up with a decent rp background was intriguing.
Oh yeah and Sea Otter, it's an OTTER and he SWIMS REALLY FAST hahahaha win.
Ellie Mintaal, no doubt. Fire/ice blaster, and a reinvention of the sorceress of the same name I had in Diablo II. My first 50 was Grouchybeast, because I wanted to get to know the game with another character before I made Ellie, and I'm pretty fond of her, too, but Ellie's definitely my favourite. Okay, so she has very few powers which don't focus on blowing things up with FIRE, but, really, that's all I ask for in a game.
I'm looking forwards to Going Rogue, so I can take her redside and run her through some of the high-levels arcs over there.

So far I've found about 10 special characters and I think I've found number 11 too........ I don't have commitment issues at all, no way.
Of course Schro will always be special for being my first, you never forget your first and at least I remember her in a good way

I have a couple.
First off, my empaths. Everyone who's known me for more than 3 years (quite a few still play 
) knows my "fondness" for empathy. When i first joined i made a pure empath called Isoceteth. It was the only toon i ever played for years. Only toon i've ever got both the 6th healing badge and 6th influence badge on. But then one night i was tired and i deleted her by mistake :'( (i wanted to delete the one underneath) Anyway after that i became Hey Man. Since then i've had loads of charactors, and even a second account (because we couldn't have extra slots back then)
Then came my fire/kin, Hey Farmer. He's now my favourite by miles, the one i spend most of my time on, the one who i earn the inf on for other charactors etc.
I also remade my empath, but due to lack of high level teams doing normal missions, i only usually bring her on if something is advertised in defiant events. So if any teams want an empath, lemme know
It's now Issue 21 and I am back!

Special character? Hmmm, yes, that would be 32 for me... and the number is growing. I am a severe case of altoholism, but I have rigid standards. I am known to delete characters (even high-level ones) just because their concept does not 'feel right' or it is too similar to another character's concept. Or to say it the other way round: I only keep characters that are fun to play and feel 'alive' enough to be real characters rather than mere avatars to play the game with.
If it has eyes, you can blind it, if it has blood, you can make it bleed, if it has a mouth, you can make it scream.
Until recently it was Summer Goddess, my fire/rad troller. I levelled her slowly from 1 to 50 and by the time I got to 50 I felt as though I knew her inside and out (so to speak).
But recently she has been knocked off her perch for Ace of Hearts (Mind/Kin). Not only because he was fun to play but I loved the concept behind him.
Both are badgers and both are 50 but if I had to choose I think Ace would have the edge.
Life is one big practical joke that we as the human race have yet to see the punchline to. Once you work that out the rest is easy.
Mine would have to be Alacrity Burst. A martial arts + super reflexes scrapper. I've painstakingly earned rare recpies for her, done as best I could to maximise her top speed (both travel speed and recharge) and the results speak for themselves.
Still not quite as good as I'd like though, and wholly useless in PvP thanks to the unfortunate defense nerfs. But for PvE, she's one of my favourites.

my fav is sorudo, but i'm kinda forced to play with youganite to get my goal.
I've enjoyed playing all of my L50s, but there are only three of them that I still play regularly because I really enjoy how they play, their names/bios/costumes just fit them so well, and they're outstandingly effective at what they do. I've recently invested a ton of inf to purple-up all of them as they're easily my favourite characters:
Nightbow - Archery/Energy/Force Blaster - BU+Aim+RoA every 27 secs just makes me grin like a loon, but then so does sniping a runner at near maximum visible range. He was also my first L50 hero (my 3rd L50 overall) which makes him even more special.
Marshall Saint - Bane/Crab Spider - Surv+BU+Shatter makes me grin like a loon as well, but if an uber-stalker isn't needed I can become an area-effect monster with 6 spider pets
Mistress Distress - Night Widow - an uber-scrapper with good ranged attacks that is very hard to kill (I still need to make a purpled Fortunata build for her)
My one perfect character would be one of these three - just don't ask me to choose which one!
Hmmm, I'm in the "lots" camp too but I can narrow it down to 3 (or 4)
Carnifax herself. My first 50. A tiny little imp of a thing but capable of throwing out masses of chaos (Illusion/Storm). I always get a kick out of the mayhem she can cause.
Dark Quasar, my level 50 triform WS. From level 20 onwards she was a joy to play and level. So many tricks and options.
Black Abomination : Dark/WP Brute. What happens when a Necromancer gets jealous of a Thugs Bruiser and decides to make one of his own. You get an unkillable tattooed rampaging zombie.
Mine is, and always will be Neutronic Girl.
I just love healing people.
for a long time mine was Forseti a claw/regen scrap just so much fun to play bot solo and in teams but after a break from the game i came back and decided to make a new main (regen had begun to bore me) so i settled on a katana/WP scrap and i haven't regretted it once character is so much fun to play ridiculous survivability and great damage.
i actually look forward to playing him even if im not doing anything productive
Majer: My dark/dark corr, the very second toon I ever made. I basically play him twice as much as all my other toons combined. He is my main badgehunter, our SG Overlord, my richest toon ever... I've respecced him maybe 8 times, just to hone his build and sets. Just love playing with him, team or solo.
The weird thing about this is, that most of my toons are women (as I am), and yet I'm most fond of a toon of the opposite sex...

My favorite is Gas Mantle a Fire/Nrg/Fire blaster. I always seem to choose him for Tfs and Trials. Just so much fun one minute arresting everything in sight the next picking my self off the floor
