That's a bit of a contradiction there. Dark Champions aren't villains, they're still good guys. They just have more... direct... methods of dealing with crooks.

Yes, iron man, spawn, those kind of heroes. But i want villainous champions. Champions don't have to be heroes by definition.

A villain and a champion are contradictory. What you want is to be a villain, and you won't be getting that.

No they aren't.

Don't conflate being a champion with being a heroic good guy. There is such thing as an evil champion. Champions by definition are victors, people who win or succeed. Nothing says they have to be good to do that.

They're not even close to a contradiction.

My apologies. I really should learn to anticipate the mods with their disspassionately objective posts.

Despite the extremely minor deviation from topic direction, back to disscussing customisation i guess.

Custom power colours, WOOT.

The only thing i care about is the colour of my lazers, which i will be firing at everyone x)

Oh, and the energy i will be discharging from my nrg/wp brute's fists of DOOM.

Also, being able to customize the fly/SJ/SS aura sparky things. Red FTW!

I'm not sure how you could customize Martial Arts powers - but Regen has possibilities - I'd love to remove that retarded chest beating animation for Integration

Harsh on Avatea. She and GR did end up getting us a lot more info then we used to get, and replying faster too. I know *I* wouldn't want to really work on these Forums

OT; Customisation is always good. And amen to that, GG. Integration I tend to hit on the run, just to stop it doing that and martial arts could be either punches, kicks, or a mix. With slight re-naming, I admit.

I think if you could customise Martial Arts, the first thing most players would pick is the one with the quickest animation time. You'd hit like the Fist of the North Star. Im not a fan of the chest beating animation myself either. Since my characters are female it just seems a little too Tarzan-esque for the ladies.

There are a few power customisations I'd love:

- Coloured (pink) mastermind robots!
- Invincibility powerset auras
- Storm Summoning (white just isn't EVIL enough for my MM!)
- Super Speed animation (Something more subdued)
- Empathy (A pale blue would suit my Thunderspark better)

Power customisation sounds like a HUGE task though, so I don't expect it to be added anytime soon, even if they are working on it. But it would make the world seem that much more diverse if everyone had their own unique powers.


Characters:
The Heroic Mary Grace (50)
The Mystical Thunderspark (50)
The Candy-loving Little Jenny (50)

One thing should be noted if they change powers so that you can customise them looks wise that would be good for Proliferation as one of the things that will currently slow that down is changing animations to look heroic/villainous. Remove that step and all they'll need to do is play with the numbers.

ANYWAYS, regarding power customisation, someone tell me that we can change the animations on powers. I know people have been talking about integration, but i'd like to see that god damn horrific *up up and away* animation on WP's strength of will GO AWAY!!!

Instead of just arms pumping at their sides, we could make people actually lean forward as if they were trying to run?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but the sprint animation is just a faster running animation.

Characters could lean forward as if they were actually running like hell.

Of course you could have power customisation in another way. What if you picked the asects of a power and then the system worked out the cost in endurance.

So for example you start off as a Fire Blaster, you get Fire Blast and then choose to customise it. You pick the Damage, Accuracy base, range, Cast (minimum based on graphics) and recharge times and the system then works out the endurance it'll use. You can make it a Super powerful, long range quick recharge power, but one shot and all your blue will be gone. Would be fun and frustrating, maybe at a respec you'd get to change it when you realise how big a mistake you made

I think that would be way too big a change for the current game engine. You're talking about a fundamentally new powers system there.

Nothing mentioned there that can't usually be modified by enhancements - so possibly not so big a difference to the current system, we just don't know.

And even the end tradeoff is sort-of there already.. if you want to not enhance dmag/range/accuracy/recharge you can slot endreds to effectively lower end cost.
