I recently recovered from a ban when my nrg/wp brute couldn'tt tank 3 complete groups of dual blades mobs in one of the open maps x) so don't worry to OP.
Some people are out to screw up other people for no reason, so don't worry if you get petitioned by 10 people man x)

If I read that right, you were banned becasue you couldn't tank a huge mob?
Wow, Razor, that's pretty ridiculous, both experiences!

lesson to be learned: don't retaliate against people because you just come off worse.

Yes well, that's a lesson that can be useful to learn in real life as well...
If people act like idiots, it's best to just assume they really are idiots and avoid them. In this case, they set a trap for you and, unfortunately, you delighted them by walking straight into it.
Top tip: Learn about the /ignore command and use it.

Remove the AE building from Atlas.
[/ QUOTE ]
I think they shopuld keep it - but add an XP cap to each AE building to match the zones they're in - any level would still earn Inf and drops, but the XP would stop once you reached the level the zone caps at.
You could still level 1-50 only using the AE system, but you'd at least have to see other zones along the way.

I have seen a Dr Doom and a Hulk over the weekend, adding to the million or so (ok, maybe a slight exageration) Captain Americas since I13.
[/ QUOTE ]
Back in I5 I used to see tons of Hulk, Superman and Wolverine clones. Then CoV came out and the only clones I saw regularly were Poison Ivy "homages" (all Plant/Thorns doms, naturally). But since I came back to the game in I11 I hadn't seen a single clone character - well, not comic clones - there's the guys with Street Fighter 2 characters who are often at Cap BM.
Then two weeks ago, in the space of a few days, I saw 3 Doctor Dooms, all at Cap au Diable BM. All had different names (global and local) and different SGs, though the costumes looked identical (and were actually very accurate). Two were elec/elec brutes (movie version then) and the other was bot/traps (comics version, I suppose). It just seems rather an odd time for a fad to break out, as the cyborg pack has been out a while. It made me wonder if they were part of a themed Doombot group (with maybe the bot/traps as the "real" Doom).
I wonder if they'd heard of the Marvel lawsuit - maybe the GM explained it to them when he generic'd them back to the stone age

Atlas is 1-6.
A team doing most MA arcs in Atlas AE would go well past level 6, leaving them to complete the MA TF whilst getting no XP.

Capping AE buildings is a terrible idea tbh, it would mean people not getting exp halfway through an arc which would be very annoying.
All we need to do is only have AE buildings in zones which are of a certain level. End of story. No need to cap it, since a new player would have to go looking for AE in the first place and if thats their wish? So be it.
Talos and Sharkhead should be the lowest zones to feature AE buildings.
Well, they could make it that if you hit the cap while on an arc, you'd still get xp until you exited the mission then.

again people. loosing the thread here, this is not a dig at farming and MA, there is a thread on that btw
Remember we are discussing the way newbies are treated when coming to the game and how rude some player have become to these new character purely for the fact they are new to the game and ask the odd question or broadcast a little.

That wouldn't help - unless you start the MA TF in Kings, which is level 5-9, and even then you are very likely to outlevel that zones level using many of the MA TF's.
You can't just move to another AE building and carry on the same MA TF that you've started in another zone, and you all need to ne in the same zone to play the same MA TF.
The reason to remove the AE building from Atlas remains, unless everyone is alright with Atlas being a farming zone....

I did read your OP, and I feel that the animosity that you experienced when using broadcast is directly related that fact that many people now use broadcast for farming purposes.
This has only started since the AE building appeared in Atlas. I've seen many broadcasts in Atlas over the years, with people asking players to join their SG.
I can't recall seeing a player - never mind many players - getting upset about it.
The only thing that springs to mind is the frequency that made the broadcast. How often did you make the broadcast and for how long?

Yes that has happened and people do get annoyed, report and even name/shame on the forums. But OP says he wasn't spamming so I don't know.
Use broadcast responsibly and even if people do get angry with you feel secure in knowing you are in the right.
The thing is, everyone's in a nervous sort of state at the moment. Half the population is blaming the mission architect and farmers for all the worlds ills while the other half is angry at the devs for taking away the rewards they farmed while using the architect in a way that the devs didn't envisage.
The rules seem to change each week so nobody knows what on earth is going on. When the devs have decided what they are going to do and we've seen some stability in the rules for a few weeks it'll probably all settle down nicely again.

My broadcasts were ever few mins for about 5mins. 2 of us broadcasting from the SG. Well inside the rules that i was given by the Devs.
I didnt want to annoy anyone which is why before hand i emailed the Devs to make sure that i wouldnt be broadcasting to much.
Ok well go off topic all your want then people
Yesterday while on the game i was in AE doing a team, asked this one person to join and he said im not teaming with you, due to the fact my broadcasts annoyed him. Fingers crossed he checks out the thread!
Rude and for no reason.
Also about the frequency of my broadcasts after i had been petitioned i sent out a petition myself asking about those who had petitioned my and why.
The reply email i got simply said, you were petitioned because your broadcasts were in atlas, players felt i was interupting the flow of the MA broadcasting and that i had broadcast too much.
The rest of the email basically said they had ignored all the petitions due to the fact i broke no rules and they didnt see my broadcasts as interfering.
Wish i had that email still.

Me too. But as long as you don't blind invite me to an SG I won't eat your head. Well, the first time I'll tell you not to blind invite people to SGs. Then when you do it again I'll question your memory. If you do it again after that I will eat your head.

If you were broadcasting your SG in Atlas try doing it every 6 minutes? (Feel free to correct me)
But yes, do not blind invite that will always annoy people, if you want an alternative to broadcasting you could send a tell to people? Worked for my SG
I think a better way to get people into a SG is to just ask people who are not in one if they would like to join. To be honest though, it's not going to be easy to get a new SG off the ground - there are so many already. Whatever you do though, don't send blind SG invites to people - you'll get flamed to hell and back
Does anyone here ever actually join SG's that get advertised over broadcast? I know that I for one, wouldn't do so...

I emailed NCsoft support pleading my case. Someone goaded me by saying i suck and various other things i won't repeat, and when i called him a dumb *C word* in global, he petitioned me.
Maybe NCsoft's GMs should operate on a policy of common sense? They emailed me to say they transferred my issue to the accounts team, and they THEN said they were investigating my issue. They didn't contact me again until i was unbanned.
