Title says it all! Discuss your favourite moments in the MA since its launch umm yesterday! I'll start us off . . . . . .

1) Playing my mates bank mission full of thug masterminds. Even though it was just us two the number of enemies was insane, i dont care there was no reward for pets it was just . . . . . . it had that *big grin moment* that makes playing a game worthwhile, seeing if you can survive the odds!

[Oh and i know i shouldnt be making these threads REALLY but i love it so muccchhhhh!]

@Damz Find me on the global channel Union Chat. One of the best "chat channels" ingame!

Okay this is one from test but i've not had much chance to play live that much so here goes:

We were testing out an arc and we'd gotten through the arc to the final mission and final boss. The enemies were completely custom mobs, and the boss AV was too. The sheer maniac fun that we had was unbelievable. The AV just wouldn't go down and kept running (set not to, but fighting pref was ranged) which meant the entire map was agro'd to us. Slowly slowly we got the AV health down to 50% and woah there was a spawn of about 15 bosses. We could NOT defeat them and keep the pressure on the AV - team wipe.

So we regrouped and piled on the pressure on the now single AV (away from the 50% spawn). I was on my Dark/Storm Defender, so I was LS and Hurricane and Tornado all over the place as you can imagine. We all struggled and when it got to 25% a bunch of KIN's spawned but because of tornado and hurricane and LS they weren't standing upright long enough to do anything. The team were saying "I love stormies" and that kinda thing which really made my day! Especially because it was on a character I had lost all hope in!

So that's my fav. MA moment so far 'cos it was a completely EPIC battle!!

My favourite moment so far was when I entered a mission (a cargo ship) to discover that there were NO mobs at all...

My immediate reaction was 'oh oh!'

Was great!

I think it was an Arc called Death for Dollars. The first mish was absolutely insane, all Thugs MMs. On a team of 8 set to 4th, the amount of enemies coming at us lagged us all to hell, and when the Brute decided to pull a second group, and the other brute got a third, then the 2 ice blasters and 1 ice corr decided to nuke the lot, the massive lag spike from all the death, and then the massive pile of bodies afterwards was one of the funniest things I've seen in the game. The rest of the arc was pretty crazy too!

Was that a bug? If not, I'm really wanting to know how that was pulled off.

It's possible as an intended act - I do it on an arc I've had kicking about locally for about 2 weeks...

Look here for some answers/clues.

hmm there was one where as soon as you entered the mission it was completed, without even doing anything.

@Muu 's Footsteps Initiative arc.

Chuckling was had, including over on the GGOOC channel (who were the folks responsible for pushing me in its direction).

I am waiting patiently for the servers to come back up to try the lauded ...Discount Task Force arc!

Those were the lols.

A great MA arc on Test (by @VanHellen1, I think) of which i have forgotten the name was about a plot to prevent Galaxy Girl from becoming a hero. Really good but strongly advisable to play it on heroic if it is ever transferred. Please can the person responsible come forward. It deserves the limelight!

Also @Soul Storm 's Shadows in Your Mind (No, Soul Storm, this is not a ploy to get you to recommend mine ) felt like a different experience from just playing CoX. Great mob design with challenege but not 'I can't be bothered with this anymore' difficulty. It also had a neat-o storyline!

Those were the 'serious' arcs.

Dr. Mechano's (sorry, don;t know your global, Doc) Bare Knuckles of Fury arc. I loved Streets of Rage and all the other affectionately-pastiched side-scrolling beat-'em-ups when I was a young'un. Good fun.

That was the 'tribute' section!

There will be more I intend to recommend. Point me in the 'right' direction and I will endeavour to do as many as I can. Loving the MA!

It depends what you mean by "moments" really.

Soud Storm's arcs is actually ful of elements/momoents I would normally dislike (the maps, the [non custom] enemies) but something about it sucks me in and grips me to the extent I have played it 4 times. Its one of the best arcs out there, but it dosent actually (for me) have a "moment".

On the other hand, I have played some far inferior arcs which have had one redeeming wow monent. I cant recall the name"nerferherder was in the title" - but the one I turned around to see the hologram contact as a bodybag just had me in stitches. But the rest of the arc was plain average. Ive also seen mobs which just have that wow factor (like an Atlantis one, I cant recall the name), b ut again, the arc as a whole was only above average.

Yep, after seeing your and FFMs recommendations of this last night I started it with my Brute. Great fun altogether, insta-PuG with some hilarious characterisations. I especially loved the first missions End Boss dialog.

The "Roleplayer" creeped me out though. Especially since I was playing a rotting corpse at the time (hit a nerve though, was playing the same character on a PuG before and some "female" started flirting with him. Eeeew. Although telling her that I had higher standards than that seemed to work).

Yours are next on my hitlist Arctic, as is Sauls Discount Taskforce (I started it before but stopped midway to join a team).

Avoiding the Search altogether and just copying and pasting from the forums seems to be the best way to go about things. Easiest way to get decent missions as oppose to "Kill a load of Lieutents and click some glowies for badges"
