i've been gone from the game for about 6 months and came back recently, checked my farmer and everything seemed fine untill i got to the auction house and checked my stock to find everything is gone

being a farmer i had purples ammong other rares in stock but i cant remember exactly what but i am 100% certain that i didnt leave it empty

i have considered my account being hacked but then why leave the 320 million i had in influence? i have a second farmer who is in the same boat

so whats the best course of action? contact a GM? a red name on these forums or can nothing be done?

any useful help would be nice

Anything in the Auction House is wiped after 60 days inactivity.

wow, so thats it? all my stuff is gone for good?

The auction house does that I'm afraid; if a toon's not accessed for (I think) 60 days, its auction house slots are all cleared - everything and anything in them is lost.

This is per toon, and independent of whether your account's active or not.

IIRC it is documented somewhere in game, but not very prominently.

Extracted from Paragon Wiki:

http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Auction_House

If a character is inactive (does not log in) for 60 days or more, all items and all influence in the Consignment House will be lost. Nothing is refunded or returned to the character. Logging in a single character will not protect items for other characters on that player's account. Each character must be logged in individually. It appears from player testing that the item loss occurs during the first server maintenance period after the 60 day limit.[2]
In addition to logging in, the character must interact with the Market server. In practice, this means either accessing the Market or receiving the blue Market update message on login

Cunning Mr Standoff. No-one will suspect a thing.

Yep, the lack of warning about it is pretty rubbish. I'm sure I've lost quite a few bids from forgetting about alts.

Especially now that they encourage you to leave toons logged off - for the day jobs.

Especially since the time you need to be offline for the badges is 21 days. A whole 39 days from loosing your items.
39 days is not enough! @_@

[/ QUOTE ]Obviously you won't be caught out again, once bitten twice shy and all that. Surprised that you would store anything in the AH, unless of course.... a) you are active constantly or b) your personal (on self) recipe inventory was full

Note that with I14 this has been changed, and no longer affects active accounts. If you intend to let your subscription lapse though, empty the market out first.

There are in-game warnings, but only if you talk to the people stood near the market. Having two accounts and a ton of alts, I've always found this a real pain (and I lost a fair bit before I knew about it). Really glad it now only affects inactive accounts.

Black Market / Wentworth’s Consignment House

* Characters (on active accounts) who have inventories, bids or items for sale in the Black Market or in Wentworth’s Consignment House will no longer have to log into the game within 60 days to avoid item or influence/infamy expiration.
* In-game Black Market and Wentworth employees will still give their friendly reminder, however if your account is “active”, they won’t take your “stuff”.

Holy [censored]... I use WW to store anything expensive.. Well, not any more, since all my items on both servers are gone :S

Could this warning be written in bold letters somewhere? TIP OF THE DAY: etc etc?

See the previous two posts; if you're not planning to inactivate your account this is no longer an issue.

I really should do something about this signature.

In case you missed the i14 patch notes, Wentworths no longer eats up your stuff if left there, indefinitely.

There was, at least; in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying 'Beware of the Leopard'.

Given the potentially huge impact of the slot clearance it wasn't at all prominently displayed - IIRC just in the popup of the "AH Info" guy who stands nearby, and gets ignored by everyone that's done the tutorial and not unreasonably assumes they've picked everything significant up from that.

Now the clearance has been halted for active accounts it's less of an issue - haven't checked whether the text in the popup has been updated or removed, mind.
