On this occasion the OP could simply have looked at the thread entitled "official statement", which is only a couple of posts futher down the page they posted on.

Demanding to be told something when no information is forthcoming is one thing. Demanding to be told something when the answer is sitting directly in front of you is something else.

As I consider myself to be one of those paranoid lunatics. When more levelheaded persons then me also share the feelings and join the lunacy then it is more then my own paranoia at work here. When the news broke, only a handful of people did not join the doom-mongering crowd.

But right now there is no official policy to merge the servers.

Its NCwest which turned around and did a two-stage cull of our Brighton offices and continues to set policy as it sees fit for the Ameri... err I mean Western MMO market, It was nothing to do with NCsoft Europe.

As was stated above, when Brighton got the axeman there was no official statement from a redname for days. People started asking how the sackings would affect the european player base and ended up putting forth hypothetical scenarios about the options available to us. Eventually we got a redname response and the waves became calm again.

However, the OP did shoot himself in the foot a bit by posting his thread at the end of the week rather than the beginning. Weekends are traditionally when the trolls come out and after several months of weekend doom posts I don't think anyone can be blamed for thinking this was another one and being sharp with the poor unfortunate who started it.

If you are new to the forums and have a question about this sort of thing then feel free to send a private message to a redname. They are quite friendly and don't bite. Unless you ask them to nicely
