Careful mumsie! you're in danger of getting into Man from U.N.C.L.E. territory. Remember the name of their adversarial organisation?

I think the general idea of an "invisible" enemy group would probably tie in with some sort of spying/detective system, whre you'd have to track down info and clues about them.

But it's still the Council - they're very common in Paragon City - I mean an organization that's almost totally invisible in the zones.

The knives? Very rarely anywhere and one of the enemy groups that could have a very interesting arc if put to good use.

Hired thugs (thugettes?) switching sides against the group they were hired for thus starting an "street war" to distract the heroes so they can go get their true objective/goal? yes please!

The Knives kinda fit - but they're quite a small organization, and rather specialized - a supervillain private army would be more like the Praetorian goons - no powers, but lots of guns and martial arts

I'd name them 'Femmes Fatales' even if they were more spandex-clad and kicka$$.

I think the Femme Fatales SG over on Defiant might complain somewhat at that

Maybe they're not quite as small as you think - just usually practically invisible when acting in PC/RI.

Though, tbh, an invisible party outside established groups (and outside Arachnos) would please me more.

Speaking of a space theme...

I want to shine like the silver surfer,
Cosmic queen of the stars.
I'm a killer on a waveless sea,
Weightless and free.
Your voice is all thats left of me.

Planet Earth swings out of view,
the dark side of the moon is cruel,
i hold the blue inside.
Staring out the milky way,
lost in my wonderful decay,
do you feel all right?
I light another cigarette,
and float thru the night.

best song... ever.

An invisibility-themed villaingroup that does NOT spend 95% of combat actually visible would be new and fun (for a while, at least!), though would invoke screams of "The computer is a cheating *******!".

[/ QUOTE ]

...you mean like when taking on the Vanguard - with their SIGIL rounds and "Willie Pete" grenades? *grr argh*

Chimera's ninjas are particularly rubbish as they're visible all the time. Proper ninjas shouldn't be seen, heard, or where you expect them to be. (clicky)

Is it time for the dance of joy yet?

Well they can't be as small as they're reputed to be since my lvl 50 Earth/Rad has personally defeated more of them than is claimed, in game, as being their total roster

I expect they get teleported to safety after defeat, so it just means the hundred or so KoA who exist are really, really busy, and spend an awful lot of time running out of the hospital and back to mission instances.
