As seen on QI (clip).
It's actually "Oh sod it - the bloody thing's stuck again"... which is a step down from the F-word so I'm not too worried about posting the link!
I have a cuddly Major clanger who says this when you squeeze him.

Darn my faulty memory! I wasn't far off though!

Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Although I mainly play heroside, I know many people who will kneel before devs if there were more SFs redside. I don't mind if this happen in new maps or the old ones, but I stopped playing villains because the lack of variety.

Question: If i enhance range on my sniper, can i take someone out on the earth from the moonbase?
[/ QUOTE ]
Maybe, but you'll need to slot for Acc too
Space related zones are a bit more comicbooky than roman zones. I won't deny that ancient civilisations have never featured but just about every supergroup has some kind of space station/moon base, from the Avengers to the JLA.
(except the Defenders cuz they had Doc Strange and Valkyrie and Black Knight)
But yeah this has been rumoured for a long time. It's a nice dream but the moment they give us a shiny new zone there'll be loads of cries from the fanbase saying "what a load of &$%@, why didn't you revamp Boomtown and Eden instead of giving us new content?

Reminds me of Quakes "Ziggurat Vertigo" - that was one of my favourite maps...once I worked out how to navigate it properly and not kill myself with grenades...

You have to admit that opening up a Spacestation/moonbase is a better seller then a revamp boomtown when you want to make a big splash with the 5th year anniversary,

Also what ever happened to the underwater zone idea?
[/ QUOTE ]
Drowned?
[/ QUOTE ]
The underwater zone (or what we presumed would be The Underwater Kingdom of The Coralax) was right up there in the zone poll results, I figure the thread was deleted in the thread-wipe '08. But yes there was Arctic, Underwater, Jungle, Space (moonzone and Spacestation) and desert. I may have missed a couple but those were some from memory. If we can implement some of these before June we'll get the jump on Champions which is already championing (if you'll excuse the pun) that fact that their zones are not limited to cities and are more diverse.
Implement Underwater Kingdom of the Coralax and beat Champions to it I say.

The thing to do tho would be combine the 2 things they could revamp boomtown into a kinda launch area with direct connection between it and the space station which could act as a hub type zone to the moon base and other of world areas.
If a full boomtown revamp was to much as its a big ish zone they could partially revamp it splitting it in a similar way to fault line.

That would be nice yes, but doubtful when you take into account what they were able to do in the past.

I don't think its a coincidence that that list was posted bofore certain people left the CoX team for (what is now) CO.
I really should do something about this signature.
Clangers I can believe in but I think you'll find the Armstrong Lunar Facility is in New Mexico somewhere.
course the other problem with adding more zones is it'll further dilute the player base we already get people complaining about lack of heroes in zones if they were to add all those extra zones it would be worse.

The devs like to surprise us
Dark Astoria could get a makeover into a horror zone - and as for the udnerwater zone, it's possible that they were testing that out on one of the new Cimerora cave maps

Heh it'll be great when this comes into CoX! More classic Bond settings can only be good!
Velcome to my moonbase Mr. Statesman!
Well, we have a volcano lair already, so an underwater lair and a moonbase lair will be needed to complete the set

That's because it was basically a Cryptic list (Jack's ideas). When they split the took the list and it's results with them.
I really should do something about this signature.

"You will now be redirect to Champions Online...."
..I think that alot of thing's have been thrown out, Once Cryptic had moved on.
The game isnt as it used to be, let's put it that way.
Champions Online however does have a Underwater Zone.

Actually, I'd like a Bond-style supervillain in the game - I think the nearest we have right now is Countess Crey, who has the whole megacorp/private army thing going on - although it's till too integrated into Paragon City - what we really need is a supervillain with little or no superpowers who operates from a remote lair, like a volcanic island out in the Pacific somewhere, who has a private army, but they're only in that zone and not in the normal city zones.
You could encounter his agents on missions in the city, but they wouldn't be seen as mobs in the actual zones.

But it's still the Council - they're very common in Paragon City - I mean an organization that's almost totally invisible in the zones.
