tbh, he would have to go through a rigourous selection process, months of training, then probably not make the grade because all he really does is spam handclap then h4x when his hp is low

Why would they bring down the merits? Because 8 people (out of the thousands registered) is able to do this? It would be a sad sad day when the developers do that.
It is an achievement, and not every team is able to do it, it is a combination of the right powersets with the right people in control of those sets, and toons slotted to hell and back.
Nobody thinks about the preperation that goes into it. The TF time might have been 28 minutes, but nobody saw the time and deaths it took to setup to try and break the old record.
But sure, if you need to blame someone then blame us, but, we will still be dammed proud of our achievement!
If the devs see temps used they should (am guessing wont) take into account the time taken to gather temps as well.

Start the TF in the morning before work, leave your characters inside the mission, 9 hours later log back in and run the TF. If you think your merits are at threat do that every day for a few weeks. Some 11 hour STFs would help

Think were aiming to get it to down 25/26 over next weekend, there were a few things we could speed up, maybe getting a security chief thats not the last, quicker transitions between missions and the whole team picking up nukes instead of just half

but that doesnt include the preperation that goes into a run like this
generally need to spend twice as long getting ready, kinda like women
