You know, with CoH being an INTERNATIONAL game it kinda makes sense that they would donate to an INTERNATIONAL charity. Strange how a lot of Brits seem to forget that bit.

Why are people arguing about charity? 
If you're unfamiliar with the history behind this sketchbook, we partnered with Draw the World Together (who in turn chose EveryChild) a few years ago and we've had a very successful relationship, helping raise thousands for their chosen charity. This sketchbook is, in part, a celebration of that partnership.
Well, I'm all for it!
I got mine ordered (just got the mail to say it's been sent!! ) and the money goes to a good cause as well, so it's all good.
NSPCC is also a good charity, as are the other thousands of charities out there. Much as I'd like to, I can't afford to give to them all, so my money goes where I want it to.
And lets be honest, no matter what charity it's linked to, there'll always be someone with a (often times valid) reason why it's the "wrong" charity. I prefer not to get into the political aspects of charities and just see people trying to help other people in need and this being my own little way of helping

Give people half a chance, and they'll argue about ANYTHING.
Folks, if you don't wish to donate to EveryChild, then it's simple; don't buy the sketchbook. It's common in industry these days for corporations to nominate their own charity, so why should NC be any different?

If you don't like the sketches, you're free to get some professional comic artists together to produce some sketches for you for free and then publish your OWN sketchbook, to support YOUR favourite charity. No one is stopping you...

Bit harsh charging our European cousins £7.50 for it though seeing as the exchange rate is 1/1 at the moment. I can't imagine that posting to the EU is a lot more expensive than within the U.K. though..
Gonna get me a copy real soon, and helping a charity into the bargain, just seems like the correct thing to do.

Those who attended a show we visited last year may have run across the NCsoft / Draw the World Together City of Heroes sketchbook.
The sketchbook contains artists versions of characters from CoH and CoV, such as Andrew Wildman, Andie Tong, Neil Edwards, Mike Collins, David Nakayama and many others.
The sketchbook had a production run of 500, and was for 2008 only available at shows we visited. Priced at £5, all of the money raised went to the Draw the World Together supported charity EveryChild.
The sketchbook is now available on the PlayNC merchandise store, here, still priced at £5 (7.50) and still with all money received going to charity.
