Non-Marcone Family Bosses

As the title says

im hunting the non marcone family bosses on villains for the tommy gun for my corruptor.

ive looked around and ppl and some sites say nerva docks is the best place but even then theyre not all non marcones.
but ive been to port. st mat even nerva and ive not seen 1. thts right not 1 non marcone boss.

i know 100 isnt alot to kill but i mean [censored] r they having a holiday or something.?

any help folks?

Rumor has it non-Marcone bosses were originally not meant to appear in CoV -at all-. They're likely left in mostly because of the tommygun weapon model, though.

In any case, I don't know of any better place than the Nerva docks. What I CAN recommend is gathering a large team for hunting them. Outdoor spawns are similar to mission spawns, you get more enemies and more bosses when a large team is scouring the area.

Only hunt place is Nerva Docks. I found out however that they appear in Steel Canyon Mayhem and according to wiki the ones you find in most radio missions are also of the non Marcone kind. Right now I am trying to get a radio mission with family inside so i can farm that one.

I curse the day the devs decided that they needed to make two family badges and make this one so hard to get!

Almost as annoying at the street hunt for 65 carnies in PI I got earlier in the week. After nearly half an hour in which I hadn't even got a third of the way through it I just abandoned the mission.

Hint: Devs, if we need to find a large number of something, please put a decent number there.

They only come out at night - you'd think Harvey Maylor or Madeline Casey would at least mention that considering the amount of hunts they send you on...

They can most often be found on the two ships in the docks to the east (I think) of the big statue of Nimbus.

The easiest way to hunt carnies is to keep clearing the two ships (including non-carnies). Every time a spawn is completly cleared it is quickly replaced.

Got to wonder what's going on in those two ships, considering that the Carnival, Malta, Crey and Nemesis all seem to want them.

Judging by the amount of times that you see Crey Infiltrators duking it out with Carnie Harlequins while Strongmen and Tanks look on cheering, I reckon it's some kind of illicit oil wrestling ring or something.

In fact, that's probably why Harvey Maylor wants you to go out and get so many pictures of Carnies! 'Needs them for an article' my behind...

That's true but I wasn't hunting those bosses. Apologies for hajiacking the thread

I don't think I've actually completed that non marcone bosses one even on my ancient (in relative terms again) MM. More or less lost interest in badges to be honest, except for the exploration ones which give you a little exp.

I guess 'quickly' is a relative term. It wasn't quick enough for me

Leave the area and return - normally there will be fresh spawns. If you are still in the immediate area - that does include the other ship - they won't respawn.

Hmm, the top right corner of St Martial? Need to be high level and preferably a few team mates to make them spawn, like all outdoor bosses.

Get an 8 man team and start "defeating" and you should soon be sorted.

Aye, rewarding badges is one thing, shear impossibly frustrating and ludicrous is quite another!
Like those flipping Rikti EBs in Invasions! -rage- They NEVER spawn! We had about four teams, killing SO many Rikti, and NO EBs spawned! And this happnes every time. This is redside, but still! Why do villain badges seem so horribly horribly hard? The troll one? Near impossible. The Crey Infiltrator one? REALLY hard (for an MM, which is the only one that unlocks anything). The Family one? Nuff said...
As bad as hunt missions, only not droppable

I'm probably being selfish here, but it's kind of nice to have some badges be more of a chore or obscurity or difficulty to acquire... Kind of a 'look at what I did' thing, which kind of is what badges are actually for.

Like the Weatherman badge villainside, many people don't even know it exists for the red faction.

Heh thanks, I know about that one. I was in a hurry though and 65 was a lot to wait for since you very rarely get more than half a dozen at a time. Far quicker to just abandon the thing and get on with the next one. I know they'd like us to only use the abandon mission thing for bugs but when time wasters come along, I sometimes use it there too.

im not sure but i think the tv arc with the msh tht involves family n memesis might spawn family bosses in 6-8 man teams. maybe we should do tht one time (after i check:P)

Be warned the abandon mission feature wont always save you from this.

If this is the contact I'm thinking it is he has a series of missions which goes 'beat up 45 carnies in PI' 'go beat up 45 more carnies in PI' 'now do it again one more time because I hate you' literally 3 in a row, so ditching one only mildly lessons the horror.

Could be a good one. I want in if you dont mind a lvl 5 sk (and a few of my other toons want it as well without much interest in leveling up.

I think I know which one you're talking about. This is a different one and it was 65 carnies, not 45. Moved on quite happily to the next mission which was a 'proper' one.

Well we had about 6 of the suits spawn on the raid in Cap last night so I can assure you they do spawn - you just need enough about to keep the players threat high enough.
Three characters is theoretically possible but I can't see you getting the dps on that few - about 12 or so and they should appear.

[/ QUOTE ]None of these badges are hard to get Redside, all it takes is organisation. Do you consider them hard to get because they are located in specific areas (except the Rikti one obviously)?

All you need is 4+ people (an adequate team size) then descend upon the casino area in St. M (for Marcone bosses), goto the Fab in Grandeville (for Protectors), get a lower level alt on the team in Port Oakes/Mercy/Cap-A-D (to spawn Troll bosses in Paper missions)...

Ok granted, Doing paper missions and spawning bosses isn't the easiest unless you have either (a) a full team (b) rep set to highest level. Then you have to clear the map, leaving the end boss, and repeating.... but hey if you want something bad enough, then you may have to change your principles and farm/grind for them...

This is the only way to get the Illusionist badge, without waiting for 3 years or more And you need that Blueside to get a major accolade power!!
