So what about the fact ive lost all my contacts plus all the missions on the crimson arc leading up to mish 9...also the fact i am no longer set as gaining VG merits or able to enter cimerora, and yes GR ive tested by zoning to other places and keep losing contacts (well only the radio as its the only contact i can get).

So the fact that it "seems to have fixed itself" leaves me to have to redo Wars set up with half the contacts to lead up to crimson, and everyone else who has lost it...if so im very disappointed.

(sorry for the ranty nature but this is the straw on the camels back to add to all the other unresolved issues)

I suspect he means that the cause of it seems to have gone away, not the after effects. Hopefully, the GM's will be able to fix your characters as soon as possible. You need to give them time to find out WHAT caused it first, before they can get a fix in place.

About an hour or 1.5 hours ago, I'd say. He was still logging in with different characters to see what happens to their contacts when I lost connection to Union's mapserver.

Of course I don't have much knowledge about the inner workings of your server infrastructure, but I do know that data loss issues rarely "resolve themselves".

Well the red mist over my eyes caused me to reply before fully soaking in the info, plus halfway through my first day of quittin smokin is reeeeally not helping lol. (hence the Lloyd Bridges quote)

lost all but four contacts on my scrapper did a tf and when I was done all but those four were gone not to sure when though didn't check when I logged on and went through 2 - 3 zones before getting to the team.

Clarification: I meant resolved itself as in no further characters were being affected. Apologies for the confusion. Note that I said we hoped on the basis of no further tickets having been received, and that I wanted confirmation.

We're well aware that characters already affected are still affected, however the priority right now is finding out how widespread the issue is, whether or not it is still affecting characters, and if we can what is causing it to occur.

We need to concentrate on minimising impact right now, and once we have done so we will move to restoring those characters already affected.

Two characters affected so far.
Mister. a level 42 Hero contacts missing when I logged on he was in ouroboros
Flower Child a level 25 Hero lost all contacts after using ouroboros portal
Both are on Union

Specifically, many of the complaints seem to mention Ouroboros, based on what I've heard on chat channels so far. Could be a connection?

Just wondering, could this be connected to the tailor bug?

It would be interesting to find out if everyone that is having this problem has also been to the tailor.

Romantic lvl 50 scrapper, union

logged in in Cimerora(4 days since last log), made a portal, wanted to do twilight son tf, but couldnt click him/it.
then i noticed all my contacts and missions were gone.
this was one a'clock today

There's an update here.

We were able to reproduce the issue with a character in our office, however have been unable to do so again since restoring that character and retesting. As we are no longer receiving fresh tickets to support we believe that the cause of this issue is no longer causing characters to lose their contacts and missions.

If anyone is affected again please contact our support team immediately.

This has affected me too - by my chat log, it was 15.53 CET (in Austria).
When I logged in with my lvl50,(Ouro)I tried to buy insps from the contact by the water with no luck - the flame thing by him didnt work either.
Zoned to Talos (Wentworths was working fine)and then zoned to Peregrine via Ouro portal. All contacts were gone, and I had to visit detective to regain a radio receiver.
During that short space of time, I lost my friends list also.

I checked Zukunft and Defiant and had no problems.

All this was on heroes side.

By my reckoning, this would have been shortly before 2pm UK time.

I relogged with a different toon Lvl 12 on Union, and had no problems - I did not try zoning!

World of wierd!

Just tried logging a further toon in - absolutely no problems!
Re logged affected toon back in and still the same problem - will petition ingame for rollback.

Affected toon - COTE (LVL50 Controller)

For clarity: any characters already affected will remain so until support have been able to restore the character. If you're affected, you'll need to contact support.

Double world of wierd!

In the time it took me to write above post (with toon still online) , when I went to contact support, all my contacts and friends list had reappeared - then, came back here to type this post and guess what? ALL my contacts (inactive) except detectives have disappeared again!!

I don't know whether this is related or not, but I lost all my global channels a while ago. After sending a few tells around, it seems this didn't happen to most other people.

Like I mentioned previously in the thread, I had my global friends and channels disappear too, temporarily. A couple of other people have mentioned this happening to them too.
Custom channels also slow down sometimes, so that anything you type on a custom channel takes tens of seconds to appear on your screen after you hit Enter.

I had this happen to a couple of characters just as they finished a Positron TF. Support tickets are open. Fingers crossed I won't lose my 110 shiny merits!

I was playing union villains a lot of the time yesterday and didn't have any problems.

I have no problems on Apostle lvl 50 blaster. Zoned few times yesterday and also used Ouroro Portal.

Never used tailor on that one.

I used tailor (that bugs annoying me btw, even you didn't mess with the scales, game changes scales on your character) on my lvl 23 scrapper. Zoned and done missions with him but he still holding contacts. All his contacts are the zone arc ones (Doc Delilah and others from Faultline) and Montegue so far.

I wonder if it is tied to PI and having two instances on Double XP weekend.

Well after sending a specific petition requesting a char rollback (had to supply them with details regarding where/when the contacts were lost) and relogged to War this morning after confirmation, and viola all contacts/mishes returned and he is back in atlas where he was before the whole debacle happened

So unless the folks who lost contacts yesterday did a lot of work they dont want to lose after the bug, id suggest sending a detailed petition requesting a rollback for that char, worked for me and 3 others I know.

We are continuing to investigate, however at the current time we believe that the cause of characters losing their contacts and missions is no longer causing this problem to occur.

At this time we can offer you a character rollback, so your character would be restored. But please be aware that your character may lose progress as we will be restoring from the most recent viable backup of your character.

Unfortunately we won't be able to restore progress lost during the rollback. We try to keep the amount of lost progress as minimal as possible.

If you like to take this offer, just reply with following information:

- Name of the affected character

this toon has lost its contacts



So i have already mentioned toon name in two separate petitions and toons name is in the petition info yet they keep asking me for the bloody toon name.

I asked CS - the response you received was meant to have the portion relating to needing the character name removed. You can ignore it, the team have your character's name and will be restoring it.
