Lost all contacts (WARNING TO OTHERS)

Hmmm well this is frustrating, but here goes.

Logged onto my main scrapper *warscythe* everything was fine, decided to run a timed Unai kamen mish, so selected it then popped from wentys in atlas via Oro to PI...thats when everythin hit the fan, suddenly realised I have no missions, no contacts, active or inactive....hell I dont even have a radio, I have to see detective mclord to get one as if im new in KR, and tried relogging/zoning...nothing helps...even worse everytime I relog / zone im losing the radio too


Most painful thing for me is the fact ive got the "stop all wildflower agents" mish that I was saving for an event on sunday....which is now gone, hope its fixed soon.

Anyway sent a bug petition, so heres hoping for a swift resolution and that no one else is affected.

Ouch, thats not good at all. At least it's affecting sufficient people to get fixed very quickly. Probably something they already know about if it's that serious. Here's keeping everything crossed for a quick resolution...

Ok to add to this.... just seen half of PI erupt in flames on BC chat, seems im not the only one here seems its happening to anyone entering PI...or at least most folks....

To be honest the amount of bugs happening recently is astonishing, im on a character that is all bent out of shape from the scale bug, standing in a zone where I cant get mishes, looking at a UI contact list which is empty, receiving bugged tells from other people experiencing the same....is i13 real name "pest control"?...

(edit# ok now it seems others are getting the problem -outside- of PI...I really hope this gets sorted soon as it is affecting a lot of people)

Sorry yes seems to be union related, Im counting 9 global friends afflicted so far, and countless others getting the same on global channels

I just got a GM response, but its the usual "we have sent it to a diff dept, you should receive a response soon"

Looks like a hardware fault, similar to the one Union had with enhancements.

Looks serious anyway, I'll do a notify moderator, see if GR is around.


I really should do something about this signature.

Well updating it now as it seems the original thought it was PI only is definately wrong ...seems any level any zoning is affecting it, there are more peeps being affected by this as I type, even had a friend relog on diff toons and each one in succession upon zoning lost all contacts/missions/souveneirs/history etc.

This bug is mutating lol, just had a guy -log- into PI in front of me then go into apoplexy as he had been on the game 2 secs to see he had no contacts either....

Im trying to update this so people are warned is all...seems like for once, defiant is the place to be...(hmm maybe its a plot by GG?)

Stryke's asked us to post these for you, GR.

On my main, I only have the IP detective (useless as she's 50). Was in IP, zoned to ouroboros > Atlas.

On my other 50, I logged into Ouroboros, with no contacts/missions. The Ouroboros Crystals aren't clickable.

Ok cheers for the attention on this G, seems this is rapidly afflicting more and more peeps.

(edit ok so went back to game window...global channels have gone now too, and when i went to send a private tell...the game froze!...wooohoo!...in the immortal words of Lloyd Bridges "I picked a hellova day to quit smokin")

I would certainly recomend not playing on Union until this is fixed. Even if your character is not affected, It seems not unlikely that a server rollback will be needed to fix affected characters.

Hm. I was following this for a while through global channels, until I first lost global friends and then channels, and finally mapserver connection.
The login server seems to be up, but there's no way I'll log in until this gets fixed. Somehow I've managed to dodge all the recent bugs, and this might be a good time to stop stretching my luck...

2 charcters affected so far, both heros, both union

Techcrier lvl 32 zoned to oro all contacts disappeared
Phantasmagog lvl 50 zoned to PI all contacts disappeared

I haven't logged onto what few Heroes I have, today. My villains are fine. Most people complaining about the bug were on Heroes, from what I can tell.

I've been only playing heroes for the past few days. Mine don't seem to be affected by the contact & mission list bugs so far.

Are you playing on Union or Defiant?

So far as we are aware this only affects Union at the current time.

For those affected, we absolutely require the information requested in this post ASAP for everyone affected. In particular, we need to know which zone you were in when you last had access to all your contacts, missions etc and the zone you moved to and discovered that you had lost them. Also, any zones in between if you zoned multiple times.

All information you provide will help us immensely in tracking down this issue as soon as possible.

One of my global friends, again playing on Union, lost his contacts and missions too. One character was missing them straight away when he logged in and a second one lost them when he zoned.
Unfortunately I can't give you any more details, but hopefully he'll post in this thread with more info.

When was this, in terms of time?

Our support team has had no further reports since 2:20pm so we're hoping the issue has resolved itself. We'd like to confirm this is indeed the case.

We still need as much information as possible to hopefully locate what caused this problem and prevent it recurring in future.

GR - how does this tally with GM Romain having just sent the message out on Union (c.15:25) that:

Do you think that there is an ongoing problem (as GM message suggests) or not (as your past post suggests)?

EDIT: And do you now know what the issue is? Because if you don't how can GM Ro,main be certain that this loss only concerns anything you will have done in the zone you would be leaving?

Clarification: I meant resolved itself as in no further characters were being affected. Apologies for the confusion. Note that I said we hoped on the basis of no further tickets having been received, and that I wanted confirmation.

We're well aware that characters already affected are still affected, however the priority right now is finding out how widespread the issue is, whether or not it is still affecting characters, and if we can what is causing it to occur.

We need to concentrate on minimising impact right now, and once we have done so we will move to restoring those characters already affected.
