This option was considered, and scrapped. It's too easy for non-roleplayers to crash the party and grief everyone. Using the Corp base is the only viable option to make sure this private affair remains private. Not only that, but Martial is a dangerous zone for anyone with roleplay-only chars, who may not have a travel power. The base is accesible from Mercy Island, making it safer and easier to get to for everyone.

Simply ICly include in your RSVP your char's situation, and accomodations will be made such as weapon/shield systems deactivated (plus, you can always spray the armour black ). Rest assured, weapons will not be permitted within the base, nor will minions of mastermind characters. Troublemakers will be warned once, and only once to behave in a respectful manner. A second offence will result in ejection from whichever corporation-led team and therein the base.))

Are we talking evening wear as in fine, double-O seven black smoking and tie, or would a more "Causual and modern" evening wear with a black tie pass as well?))
((So long as its vaguely smart, it should be ok, afaik. Just so we dont get people turning up in shredded jeans and covered in blood =P A suit is good, but uniform jackets, posh clothes or the like should be fine.

Phara eyed the black envelope curiously before opening and reading it. Hmph. Well, that's new. Guess being on the 'Destined One' list might just be paying off.
Settling down into one of the many uncomfortable seats dotted around the university, she tapped the invitation against the arm of the chair, thinking. Could be an chance to 'network'. Could always use more... well, maybe 'friends' ain't the word. She crossed her legs. Dupes? She thought, smiling to herself. The smile faded. 'Course, it could be a trap... They probably wouldn't want to let me go that easy...
Frowning, she shifted in her seat uncomfortably. Finally she rose, mind made up and went to look for the nearest available computer.
"I'd be happy to attend this event. I would hope to arrive at approximately 19:30.

Reading over what she'd typed, Phara rolled her eyes. Damn if that sounds nothing like me... she grumbled silently. Still, that mightn't be a bad thing. She shrugged and printed it out.
Twisting and turning the black envelope, K-Gun finally ripped it open somewhat hap-hazardly, and casually tossing the torn bits of paper away. Reading aloud to his mates, with a semi-bored tone of voice:
"The Staff and Employees of the Corporation cordially invite you to join an evening of... refreshments (Damn writing...) and... Distinguished (DAMN WRITING!) company at their headquarters.
This evening is to be held on the 20th of September 2008. Dresscode is black tie and eveningwear."
Placing the letter on the closest flat surface, he looked to his mates, who all looked back at him. "So...
Does anyone know what eveningwear is?" he said, shrugging. Which earned him five gazes at the ceiling, and a chorus of "Uhh..." and the sound of a palm hitting someones forehead.
"Oh please, just because we're ALL not as 'Sophisticated' as you, Boomer.' Said Shooter, another one of K-Gun's mates, dressed in a black trenchcoat, and a shirt with a tie.
Madly waving his arm in the air, was another mate of his. "Boss, boss! Can I go with'cha?" He yelled. "You, Killer? By the time I'd have said 'Hello.' You'd have gotten me kicked out." At this, Killer promptly shut up.
"Think I'm gonna go there alone. Just gotta respond to this. Anybody got a pen?" Boomer tossed him a pen, which he caught. Then he grabbed a piece of paper, and started writing. After having asked Boomer for help to write it:
'I am delighted to be attending this event.
Please expect my arrival at 19.45 p.m. or thereabouts.
Please be aware of my special circumstances, detailed below:
I cannot, under any circumstances, reveal my face. I will be wearing a mask and sunglasses, to conceal my face.

Looking over the paper, he took it up, then said: "Well, looks good. Thanks Boomer. Now, I will be going there ALONE, just to prove to you that I am NOT as much an idiot you all think I am." He said as he walked out the door... then promptly walking out of the closet, and walking out the other door, to the laughter of his mates. Except from Boomer. Who was mute. Oh well. He was surely laughing on the inside.

((This invitation has been circulated amongst all businessmen, criminals, and known players in the Isles, with the exception of Arachnos personnel.
The party will be held in the Corporation base, starting at 7pm. Anyone interested in attending, please post an IC RSVP, and /chanjoin "corp events OOC" - It's a public channel we will use to arrange base invites on the night.
Those attending on the night will be teamed with Corporation members to allow access. Any ouvert threats or unsociable behaviour will result in one warning only, before immediate ejection by event staff for a second offense.
