Themed SG uniforms?
Most of this sort of thing are RP Sgs, but I've seen quite a few uniformed Sgs around. But nothing specific on a power level really.
We tried the uniform idea, no body could be arsed, and duffed it.
Couldnt see the point in insisting to be honest.
We found super teams of a single AT/power sets to be a great laugh though.

So I have been wondering are there even any SG, in the game, that have uniforms or even go so far as only having one kind of power sets or archetypes, say only fire or only dark, or even a only Rad/Rad corrupters.

The College of War has sort of an uniform policy for its members, it being a sort of a formal institution. But we're an "anything goes" type of SG powerset/AT -wise, so the theme is more in the "RP" department for us also. (Not that many of us actually RP, but it's nice to have an unified feel in SG TFs and other events )

I'm pretty sure they are around, the Elflings have/had a sg costume(and requirements for characters(like the height and the ears, powersets were free choice if I remember correctly)) Don't know if they still exist. And I remember a long long time ago(in this galaxy) when I made my first character I was invited to an SG who only accepted people with fire powers. Can't remember if they had uniforms

The Elflings are still around - you see them from time to time doing whatever it is the little people do

Yup, the Elflings are still going stong.

V: Spektor(50 Spiddy)
I know that it is more common among RP, then otherwise, but as far as I remember the method (first time I heard it explained it was called the shadow-clan method) is apparently based on psychology and game theory. Let me se if I remember this right...
By making the players use non optimal or restricted builds, they have to rely more on one another, thus promoting unity throe interdependency. That unity is reinforced by the uniform. With the unity comes a sense of belonging, of being part of something greater then your self. And from that comes a great deal of fun.
So even though the players have less creative control and can accomplish on their own, overall they end up having more fun. When something is accomplished, it becomes more exiting because of the restrictions, and even more so because it was done with a group.
Each victory build up the unity and pride is being part of the group, and so the next challenge is even more fun, and so on.
Anyway should stop rambling, I do not wand to use up my quota

That is a really nice look.
I know that E.V.I.L (every villain is loveable iirc) on union had/has a uniform that a lot of members wear. It was also E.V.I.L that was behind the fire/rad superteam around 18 months ago I think. But unfortunatly I dropped out of that one at lvl 12.
There was a Thugs themed SG going around that started at the release on i7...
Although i've never seen any at specific SGs on heroes though... Not that I can remember anyway...

I used to belong to an SG called Children of the Phonix, your choice of costume was your own but you had to be a Fire/Rad Troller, some had slightly different builds such as taking TP others something else but the main build was the same.We had about 15 ppl in it but after ppl started to hit the mid twenty lvl,s they all seemed to wander off I think I am the only one left but brought the Sg back with the help of family members.Shame ppl left as ir was a great team to go out with everything fell before us

We have a martian themed VG running on Zukunft (transfered from Union when the new slots arrived).
Same costume and (almost) same powerset for all of us for maximum effect.

FALLOUT is a radiation themed team/SG on Union, (not just rad power sets, just back story). Our ATs and power sets were chosen to compliment each other, and we generally only play those alts in that team. Consequently our builds reflect teamwork over self suficiency.
We have a set rule for SG costume to be black and yellow and always team in SG mode.
We've had lots of tells commenting on our unified look.
FALLOUT at Terra Volta.
It's been done many times over the years, and my own experience of it has been very rewarding. If you have idea, I say go for it.
I Like the Idea of SG uniforms, makes me wish i was in one (Or any SG that lives past 2 month after I join them, I must be cursed)
BTW I'm SGless if you couldnt tell from that^
/edit I was disapointed when the lst SG Died, I was an officer!(thast me on the bottom) I come back from a holyday it was gone, I dont know what happened, maybe the boss packed it up because of lack of activity *shrug*
Back when I was on the US servers, we had a lot of sub-groups in the Paragons of Justice. One was the Ghost Widow Clones, Dark/Dark Corruptors that not only had a uniform but looked exactly alike in every way.
Well, apart from those of us who didn't read the list properly and ended up with the wrong shoulders until we could get to the Facemaker....
However, it turned out that Smith was not a time-travelling Terminator
The Echelon has a SG costume theme. It's not mandatory, and while some can't be a**ed and others have too strongly themed toons to wotk in the SG costume, some want to show their supergroup, especially in the big events like mothership raids.
Still @Shadow Kitty
"I became Archvillain before Statesman nerfed himself!"
Liberty Legion has a uniform. Members are asked to use their third costume slot for it and use it when teaming but it is not mandatory. Don't often see it now days :'(

No I do not have one idea, I have several... I suffer from the dangerous from of altites that make Theme SG ideas pop in to my head on a regular basis (Along with scores of character concepts).
Besides I am already in a SG I like with my main charter.
Nice Screen shot by the way.
Been in a SG that required the members to have a SG uniform 2nd or third slot. It did make you feel more involved with that SG. It is a good idea if your SG is active enough.

He's called Cynical Elfling, so not entirely uncynical no. Also have a name held for a villain Elfling too.

It is not that I am on looking for a SG, but I have seen several posts on this board about super teams of varying kind, when players coordinate the character powers specifically to stack with one another. Thus maximizing power at the expanse of personal freedom.
However so far I have seen no posts about anyone coordinating charter costumes, and powers for the sake of a theme. Thus getting cohesion and unity, at the expense of power and personal freedom.
It is something I have seen in many other games, two good examples would be Orc guilds in Ultima Online, and Stormtrooper PAs in Star Wars Galaxies.
So I have been wondering are there even any SG, in the game, that have uniforms or even go so far as only having one kind of power sets or archetypes, say only fire or only dark, or even a only Rad/Rad corrupters.
For the villain side an obvious examples would be a Ninja SG, with stackers all looking like the ninjas from the mastermind set and Katana/Martial Arts combined with Ninjitsu power sets, along with Ninja/Trick Arrow Master Minds.
So if are there any SGs like that out there, I would love to hear about them. Or even themed SGd you have been thinking of but that have not been started.
