A new Unfinished IO? Winter's Gift

Gotta love how things get put in the game early without Devs saying, 1st the 5.99 Respec and now a Brand new IO set (Thanks Sekmet for telling me about this).

Would appear a brand new Universal Travel IO Set has been added to the game in the last patch, its defo not ready as it doesnt even have a Picture on the IO.

With a name like that, it almost sounds like it should be connected to the holiday event in some way...

EDIT. Like it could be a special drop from the Winter Horde - the resistance to being slowed would fit in with the whole frozen thing and their ice attacks too.

Spotted the IO set last night and it looks interesting. Had the same thought about it thought, winters gift for the winter event, that would make lots of sense.

So, Universal Travel, eh? I bet these can be slotted in travel passives. Attempt to compensate for the Stealth IO debacle.

I am also of the opinion that this is a special winter event drop (the first set bonus is cold resistance).

edit: There are an awful lot of bids on something that isn't in the game yet!

I also noticed under special, that they have a Wentys and BM transporter bow too, not the one off power but actual transporters.

I want one now.................

I couldn't see any chest details beyond the ones that where added in issue 12.

I really should do something about this signature.

The 'universal' in this leads me to believe it's related to the 'universal enhancement slots' noted here:

How do you see them working? - 10 slots that don't even appear in a specific power? (Almost as if you're slotting your whole self)

Its very possible that I just have not noticed them before if they are the I12 ones, but the ones that surprised me were:
Trash / Symbol 7-9 / Swirl 3 / Star 9-14 / Question mark / Power-On / Nuke / Lion 2 / Mantis / Health / Cyber Eye / Bulls Eye 2.

Now THAT is interesting! I guess they could add a "Universal" Power with 10 slots and you add to them what you will as and when... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm 10 purples that affect everything /homerdrool

Could be, but it could equally be that they are for most travel powers (not teleport) and thus universal for travel, though that implies TP too so maybe not

Winters Gift works with any travel power, including TP.

I doubt there is any direct connection to Universal Enhancements, which are a very long way off.

It says Range aswell as the speed improvements for the other 3 travel powers.
