Link between Co-op zones...

Earlier on tonight I was playing on my scrapper in a small team consisting of me, a controller a brute and a VEAT (not the spider type). We really wanted to go to War Zone as the romands had become boring after a bit, but because the only way to the War Zone was to leave Cimeroa and re-enter our respective lands it would have meant disolving the team and reforming.

Can a direct teleport of some type be added that will allow you to zone from one to the other (perhaps via Orubous or Pocket D)? As this would make teaming co-operatively much easier. And while it might not fit exactly into the story/plot it shouldn't be that hard to fit it in.

/signed. Making Pocket D a hub for all Co-Op content would probably liven the place up a bit.

/signed. Sounds like a good plan and improving Pocket D as a hub is a great idea.

Me likey, I'm sure DJ Zero would love the extra possible patrons.

Makes perfect sense gameplay-wise as a QoL move and is a sound business decision, since co-op content has a better Cost-per-head ratio than exclusively red/blueside content - facilitating people who use this content should be paramount. It being a game filled with robots, werewolves, aliens, romans and psychochronometrons, I don't think fitting it in story-wise will stretch credibility much further than it's already gone

It would be nice, but I suspect it quite likely that combined villain/hero team players woud get kicked whist in limbo between zones.

I really should do something about this signature.

You don't get kicked when you zone from Midnight Club to Cimeroa.

Yeah Pocket D would make a good hub to connect between the RWZ Vanguard base and perhaps the Midnight Club (because going from Cimerora to Midnight Club doesn't break co-op teams, as said) - it would also make Pocket D somewhat busier and a good place for finding co-op teams. /signed. Alternatively the Midnight Club could just be directly connected to the Vanguard Base in RWZ, but I'd rather it was done via Pocket D so that it links up the co-op holiday content as well (Valentines and Xmas).

Ouroborous wouldn't work because it's not co-op, probably because of the different flashbacks available and the versions of the Mender Silos TF for heroes and villains being different too - no way that Silos TF could work for a co-op team without ditching it and writing a completely new story (as it is Arachnos vs Longbow/Vindicators/FreedomPhalanx).

Maybe make Pocket D less of a nigthclub and more of a transdimensional area like the city of Sigil in Planescape?
Give DJ Zero a makeover, and make him a more shadowy controller of the area, and replace the Longbow and Arachnos guards with his own guards.
Keep the nightclub as it is, but move it to one side, and have the main area you enter first from the elevators be the place where the zone portals are.

The wisdom of Shadowe: Ghostraptor: The Shadowe is wise ...; FFM: Shadowe is no longer wise. ; Techbot_Alpha: Also, what Shadowe said. It seems he is still somewhat wise ; Bull Throttle: Shadowe was unwise in this instance...; Rock_Powerfist: in this instance Shadowe is wise.; Techbot_Alpha: Shadowe is very wise *nods*; Zortel: *Quotable line about Shadowe being wise goes here.*

omg, this is an excelent addition to the idea!

keep the 'down stairs' as it is, let the elevators come up to a hub, shops to the left, club to the right, Vanguard office and Midnight office there too...

and zOMG! maybe even the auction houses there too, with crafting possibilities.... people'd be in there most of the time!

Good idea. Perhaps when the Devs revamp the Shadow Shard to make it co-op (hint hint) they could re-do Pocket D as a co-op hub that is the sole way to access the Shard, and at the same time add teleporters from Pocket D to the Midnight Club, RWZ Vanguard base, Portal Corp in Peregrine, and the portal lab under the Arachnos Tower in Grandville. I definitely agree to Pocket D having a Wentworths/BlackMarket area as well - and maybe an inventions table area, a base portal and an Ouro crystal too.

I think the auction house might keep too many higher level avatars away from the lower level zones, which I think wouldn't be so good, as it's nice for newer players to have more experienced ones to help them with questions or other stuff, especially in Kings Row and Atlas Park, where new players really are totally new.

But having DJ Zero as the controller of a transdimensional hub would set him up as a rival to Nemesis, who seems to be the unchallenged transdimentional master right now, which would make for some interesting new story possibilities.

I'd alo like it if they Made DJ Zero a mobile contact - so he'd drift/float/hover around the entire area, observing the comings and goings (it'd be a programmed patrol path, like the Longbow in Atlas Park and Kings Row).

But dont you think higher leveled players doing higher elvel content will go to Talos anyway, since its easier access and not be in Atlas regardless.

Plus an AH combined with this idea means you wont have to fill up and delete on an ITF/LGTF

GG has a newbie bias - she thinks we should all be adopting newbies

Personally when I log into a new MMO and someone immediately singles me out and starts asking if there's anything I need then sure, it's nice I guess, but it also freaks me out a bit - but then I am a bit of a cynic so my first thought is to wonder what their angle is, what they want from me, and why they can't leave me the heck alone to work out the game myself because that's one of the most fun times in an MMO for me

Not adopt, just be there for them if they need it

A few months back, it took me almost half an hour to get a newer player to use me for an inf swap he wanted to do - he'd tried something similar in another game, and had all his stuff stolen - he thought all MMOs were the same
