It may be relevant, then, that I get this problem only on one of the two computers on which I can play CoX.

Those two computers, are connected to the same router?
I am still desynching too and I am afraid they don't have time to deal with that any more as they didn't update my petition ticket with any info requests...
I'm also desynching when going in and out from missions, maps and lifts, but /sync command works great.

Recently I've had some serious ISP issues with my upload speed getting throttled. This has resulted in rubber banding and an inability to move from my starting point having just zoned - but the /synch command seems to clear that up

I'm having a similar problem to you scarlet, i can cross over half the map before being flung back to my starting position I'm having to type /sync every time i zone now just in case
Still affected by thing.
New chars are fine until they level near 30. Then they start to get affected as well.
My isp is the same as when the problem occured, it works flawlessly everywhere else. Even tried a 3G Cellphone broadband, and problem was worse there.
Been almost half a year now, is this problem no longer worked on?
Having to /sycnh a lot now, sometimes 3 or 4 times in a zone, so is other half and others we know.
Lots of rubberbanding too lately, but no problems in EQ2 or any other games.

I'm still having to /sync most play sessions, sometimes every mission and exit to zone during the play session. The /sync command is great (I would genuinely have quit the game by now if we didn't have it) but it would be nice to not need it.

Your lucky. /sync does absolute jack for me. Mapsever + /sync = zilch. Rubberbanding + /sync? nada. Type lag + /sync? Nothing.
Is it really that hard to provide a stable server that works for everyone? Is it? If so, please let us know, it'd be much better than doing nothing about it...

just figure i'll toss in another observation here.
Chars created prior to issue 12, affected by sync bug to a certain extent (get it half the time or less).
Chars made during issue 12, heavily affected by sync bug. Aka every time they zone. The bugs started without fail when they reached high 20's.
Chars made after issue 13, no sync bug. got a lvl 41 shield scrapper and i havn't seen sync bug on her yet. And my shield brute (albeit not high 20's yet) is also yet to see it.
On that note:
Toons created on I5, affected;
Goons created on I7, affected;
Goons created on I12, affected.

Well, leveled some more now since Issue 13. All my chars made after Issue 13 are completly free of the sync bug.
But those who had it before, still have it, no worse, no less. Those made between Issue 11 and 13 are affected the most (aka happens every time they zone). those made before issue 11 get it "now and then".
Probably it's related to costume or powerset then.
Hopefully this patch they do manage to fix it then
