Brute EN/EN
You want everything from NRG Aura really, most things from nrg melee, fast attacks are what you want because nrg aura has no inherent taunt aura so you want to be hitting hard and fast rather than using taunt to bring them to you.

You can skip the resists from energy aura, doesn't really add much and you can use the spare powers to pick up aid self (which you can use during a fight with defense)
I took stimulant to get aid self by 14, and then stamina became next on the list. Its not an early bloomer at all and i felt Id take these powers asap. I may respec them out later but I doubt it.
He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. This is what I'm doing, only got 2 sets of CI so far, but slotting works with 2 acc, 3 dmg and a rech or end in last slot. Went up to 50 real fast last year. Last two powers are just for fun really, choose what you want in their.

You could probably swap stamina for something else as you have Energy Drain which is auto hit, but I'd be careful. I can manage it on my DM/EA but I also have the end drain from DM.

I would be of the opinion that without a taunt aura, the taunt power from primary becomes exceedingly valuable, if not vital.
Ill stir up the hornet nest here and go against the other posters regarding taunt. The EN/EN are more towards the edge of stalkers/scrappers than tank-brutes. A defining power is the Energy cloak power you receive at level 20, its an invisibility power that lets you attack enemies one at a time without getting to much attention/aggro. You are the opposite of a invincibility brute, you dont WANT to be surrounded by enemies. Until you get overload, you dont have the ability to survive the combined attention of larger mobs.
Youre NOT a tank, and anyone who kicks you from the team because youre not "tanking" is just as bad as anyone who kicks a defender for not "healing".

I dont expect Brutes to aggro control but I know they can. However with Energy/energy its far less than the other sets and so are nearer Boss droppers like scrappers.

/agreed with Cuffz as well, EA makes for a crappy set to try and tank with.

Interesting, thank you all for all this; it is a good way to start.
A non-related question, how many abilities, slots and whatever else do you get in total at level 50? So that I can plan?
Thanks,
24 powers (including the 2 at lvl 1)
67 slots

You?
Shannon, how exactly is Taunt amazing damage mitigation? Surely it is the opposite...
Never took taunt, never had a problem with fury, just attacked and attacked with low rech powers until fury was high enough then unloaded big attacks. The Energy Cloak was best damage mitigation tool, I've had mobs stood right next to me without noticing me as I pummeled his mate. This type of brute above all others is a self fury generator.
Reasons for taking stamina though are that sometimes when you solo, their just are not enough mobs standing to use it by the time you would need it, and I like having Health when you have a large amount of hit points.
Edit to the build as well... Might be worth taking the S/L passive at 47 just to put in the Steadfast protection UNIQUE that give +3% Def vrs all

I can't see how forcing foes to attack you will act as damage mitigation.
The phrase is more than a little misleading.
Read it as "A Tanker using Taunt results in amazing damage mitigation for the tanker's squishier teammembers".
Oh right. Talking about stating the obvious! Might as well put "Healing Aura is not bad healing" in my sig then...
Drifting off topic here, seeing as the OP has gotten his questions answered, unless someone has anything relevant to say concerning En/En lets move on shall we?
