I'm sure you're a nice guy, doesn't give you the authority to tell people to move on.
By the way, where have I been spamming and trolling?
[ QUOTE ]
unless someone has anything relevant to say concerning En/En lets move on shall we?
[/ QUOTE ]
is hardly telling people to move on but rather suggesting, no?
and the case of "trolling" can be something as simple as having a belligerent attitude:

Well it effectively is, and the tone as if speaking to a child can be considered as trolling as well.

The phrase is more than a little misleading.
Read it as "A Tanker using Taunt results in amazing damage mitigation for the tanker's squishier teammembers".

A bit more in ways than that Maelwys so its not too misleading. I actually dont think its misleading at all.

This is considered a fine post to make by people going on what one moderator has said in the past.
I like Cuffster and consider this kind of forum policing acceptable but if it was coming from someone who breaks the rules then, admittedly, I wouldnt be too happy.

Not call yourself belligerent? but you are, first against Shannon, then Maelwys, then me..
and while you in your opinion may not be spamming technically, in MY opinion, simply posting something without any intellectual value is spamming.. again, in MY opinion.
and i treat people according to how they behave. In my world teenagers can earn my respect by acting mature and people in their 20s and 30s or higher lose it by the acting immature.
Your coming across as someone shoving people around itching for a fight, and thats how i treat you-
Now, this has nothing to with En/En brutes, so this debate ends now.

Here is the logic:
As the character idea is a power armour Hoover and Flight are a must.
The Fitness Pool, beside Swift are a reflection of the internal life support system.
As far as the Mace and Distruptor Blast, it's the only option to have a Technological/Energy type of range attack and the rest, beside Taunt are the power of the two pools.
Any constructive feedback? Something I should add or remove?
Thank you all ...
PS: I did not include the slots yet as I really did not have much of a clue yet and so far was obvious, all in the Melee attacks to increase Damage, Accuracy and Recharge Time.
Well, using your powers (which aren't too dis-similar to the ones I chose/plan to choose) here's how I'd build it:

Power picks look ok but the ordering seems a little off to me...?
If you're going to build fury quickly, then generally you'll want to have a few fast-recharging, fast-animating, low-endurance attacks to spam as early as possible... usually these are your first attack power (barrage), brawl and/or boxing. Slot with Accuracy and Endruance Reduction ASAP, so you can use them to build yourself up to near maximum fury and then let-loose with your other more powerful attacks when you're at high fury.
Energy Transfer, Stamina and Total Focus can be taken earlier. "Aid Self" from the medicine pool would also be of great benefit to this build, given that it's a defence based toon and your backstory allows for the use of technology. Apart from the obvious aspect of generally increasing your survivability it's also very useful for compensating for the Health loss from spamming "Energy Transfer".
Once you get Energy Drain then you won't need to worry about endurance costs, but until then you'll probably want to invest in some End Reductions. At least one in each of your attacks including Barrage/Brawl.
(as an aside, I can't see anything that Firekitty said against me, and if that's not the point of Shannons' sig quote then I'm confuzzled: Taunt when used by itself just draws aggro = more damage to the user... it's only when you use it to draw aggro away from your teammates that it provides any kind of mitigation! )

I am new here but I played many MMORPGs including WoW, DaoC and MxO. I am familiar with aggro and the idea of Taunt, that is why I stayed away from it now. I do not have a SG yet and I solo most of the time so it seems pointless to me but as I start doing instances I will consider it.
Thank you both, what do you think of it overall?
I mean, does she have, potentially, what it takes or does she suck and blow?
Well I'm an advocate of the "Energy Aura doesn't need Aid Self" corner, so to me it looks just fine. If you do want Aid Self though, I'd recommend dropping the Passives and pushing back Whirling Hands and Energy Cloak to fit in Aid Self and Aid Other / Stimulant.

I consider it pretty pointless in most of my Brute builds too to be honest. It's a power that's even of some debate for tankers, and even "team built" Brutes will handle lower numbers of mobs than tankers.
CoH/CoV aggro works slightly differently to aggro in most other MMORPGS: Healing doesn't draw aggro, and any action by any other toon will not grab an enemy's attention as long as it is under the influence of a Taunt effect (either through the "Taunt" powers, "Taunt auras", or Brute/Tanker "Gauntlet").
Whilst it's useful, the Taunt power is by no means mandatory. General consensus amongst the tanker playerbase is that it's never actually "needed" except for tanking very tough AVs such as those on the Statesman TF.
And the build's fine, though Jay's ordering is slightly better. If it were me I'd try to fit in Aid Self... but I've always been a big fan of "self-healing"... comes from rolling a Regen Scrapper as your first toon!!

It'd probably look a little like that if I was to roll a EN/EN Brute with Fly. Hasten/Patron/Passives etc. could be taken to taste from 41+. Personally I'm more of a fan of the resistance-based armors though...
I'd seriously consider trying to fit Conserve Power in there at some point too, for a specific reason. With Conserve Power and End Drain you can (with practice) overcome the crash from Overload. Once you see the Overload icon blinking you can hit CP - then just as your end bar starts to drop (this bit require perfect timing), hit End Drain and you will be fighting at full steam again straight away. If you don't take CP you will be forced to run and hide and do nothing for the 10 seconds you cant regain end for, as well as toggle up all your shields - this will lead to a lot of unnecessary deaths.
Food for thought?
Taunt isnt a must have but it isnt a "dont get" neither. You can make your build about many, many things but if your soloing a large amount of the time then why get it?
*Puts on Villain mindset*
Brutes just come in 2 categories, one of being Fearless and one of being Gutless.
I took aid self early (14) as it can with the right play offer me better damage sustainability than some of the shields, not to mention some of the damage types are pretty non existant till certain levels anyway. All attacks can be done in the air so flight pool on an Nrg/ is more than just a fine idea especially if they fix that Cathedral of Pain.

Fixed that for ya. Energy Aura Brutes are geared more towards the solo side of play, as it Energy Melee - that's not to say you're not good in a team, but there are better choices for both primary and secondary for that. Those Brutes can worry about aggro and taunting - my EM/EA likes to worry about the SMASH!

Fearless or Gutless.
Fearless is simply getting stuck in.
Gutless is tentatively entering battle last and/or leeching a bit.
I actually think Villainside is friendlier. People expect more from players heroside in terms of being supportive to one another and try harder not to get eachother killed. On villains they dont expect any morals, sympathy, teamwork etc all that can go out the window! Plus the idea of villains failing at something isnt as bad as heroes failing at something. Id much rather fail at destroying the world than saving it. Oh noes didnt complete the LRSF! So what! Also if their was a badge for stabbing team mates in the back on villains or what could be aka getting people killed Id find it acceptable. The fact that a villain may enter my SG rob my stores and bugger off with the loot is also acceptable! As a villain I just find cowardice unacceptable.

So how do you judge the fearless from the gutless? Personally, my Elec/Elec and Energy/Invuln both charge headlong into the fray, whereas my Energy/Energy tends to skirt the edges and take out what he can. I wouldn't call him (well, "it") gutless for doing so, but it's also far from fearless.

Your energy/energy is somewhere in between on a certain group of foes, which is not necessarily all foes. I personally like to redline, if I redline then I am pushing it some! Proper gutless comes down to leechers.

I have tried a few times to make ST brutes, but I hate it, I'd rather play a scrapper if playing ST, the fury building of taking the alpha gives me a buzz that slowly prodding foes until I can hit them hard will never replace
