I'll try to make it with my blaster with 3 holds, but given that I'm going to a funeral, I might be late... I'll see what happens...

Ack... some pillock managed to pull two GMs in on top of the tank/healing team during the holding phase.

We cleared the mitos with ease, had brawled the big guy, had pulled the joke tellers back and holders were spamming away... we definately had hami held and then from what I saw two GMs ran in and killed most of the Tank's Support team. A few scrappers and Damage Dealers ran in to intercept the GMs but it was too late... tank died, trollers got aggro and the Mitos respawned... ><

Not your fault Mags, was a well organised raid and working fine up until then. No plan can be made 100% "Idiot Proof", and we have some extremely highly qualified idiots on the server.

Someone mentioned this Thursday at same time for the next attempt?

This just goes to show that it only takes one idiot to ruin an entire raid.

White Magus did an absolutely fantastic job of leading the raid, and there really was nothing more that anyone could have done to stop it from failling.

I can't stress this enough, though, guys; people really need to read the raid guide in advance. It speeds up the raid in general, and goes into more detail about why stuff happens than the leaders can go into during the raid.

We're looking at having another bash next monday, any takers?

This picture was taken after the raid failed, after I died with the group that joined to try & stop the invading GMs, and shows a bit of what we saw, stood on the "other rock". I heard a shout about GMs go up and when I turned, I got quite a good look at the monsters path of approach.

The GMs approached from an empty area well between both hills and headed straight for the healing team. No-one knows how exactly that happened. Probably we just won't know at all. But from what I saw as they came in, the GMs came through the area I marked, which is quite some distance between the two rocks. There were no GMs at either rock, so something else happened, and really, the calls that people were in the wrong places should stop. Obviously it's frustrating as hell this failed for everyone that was working hard at completing it. At the end of the day, if people were in the wrong place and attracted the GMs, they'd have come to whichever "rock" it was that aggro'd them?

It was a damn good raid. Thanks organisers for trying. Maybe next time if a lot of us are all looking outwards a GM incursion could be spotted sooner and possibly averted before they have a chance to attack a team in the jelly?

Thanks to all for your support and we will indeed be back to kick Hami's jelly ridden rear out of the hive Xanth the others and I are looking at monday atm as thursday is tough for some of the team to make and might be a little too soon.

Again many thanks to all who attended and I must stress that without the GM aggro we had him and it was on for a very successful raid. News on the next soon...

Cheers,

White

Well was a good raid up till the WIPE OUT, so full marks to White Magus and everone else that made the raid happen

Like Xanthus said people need to read the guide 1st and need to listen to the hosts. I will put money on it the person who brought the GMs into the tank team was someone that didn't read the guide, and instead of running around or in the wrong place they should of been on 'Cowards hill' and let the other people do there job like the guide says, anyway what is done is done.

I should be at the next raid and once again thanks to the hosts.

Hope to see u lot at the next raid,

Mr. Apollo

Yeah, it seemed to be going well up until that point. Lag seemed to be less of a problem (I heard less complaints about people losing the targetter anyway). So thanks to the organisers anyway.

On the subject of GM aggro, might it be an idea to have a standby firefighting team? Say, 3 or 4 tanks and some empaths, ready to step in in case of a member of the tanking team dropping connection, or GM aggro? Since, after all, tanks and empaths aren't doing much during the holding phase anyway.

We already have a GM scouting team but unfortunately they didnt have a tank with them today because of various reasons.

Anyone actually see the GMs walk in? From my point of view they where suddenly just there.

Anyways....Next monday then?

It was difficult one but good raid until the GM incident.
Was a good effort by white magus, war man and everyone else im too tired to think of right now. THanks Jackie, Dis, PDs, erm..everybody!

Two GMs just appeared and apparently killed my Emps, and then Hami killed me. I was facing the other direction so it came total surprise to me. Never saw anybody.

I still think though that we should stack the holds a bit longer before applying enervating fields. Imo Hami started to lose HP too fast.. I have seen the so-called held-animations right before brawl phase and I highly suspect Hami was held at that stage so I dont trust those animations. Well.. Ive only been to about 10 Hami raids Compared to last one(the succesful one) we certainly rushed that stage. I got no lag or loss of target during holdphase either.

Not really. I had my window showing Hammerfall and the empaths, but I didn't have it panned round enough to see the GMs approach, if they did. Some movement caught my eye and I saw them at the edge of my screen just before people dropped, but that's about it.

Anyway, if anyone's interested, I was trying to get some screenshots of this raid (my computer wasn't behaving last raid). Would have been nicer if they'd been of a successful raid, but still, here's a few:

Hami puts on his lightshow
Waiting on the hill
Taking out mitos (I like this shot)
Holding Hami
Wiped out

Same here. First I knew of it was when a big giant leg took up most of my screen.

But good job leading the raid WM.

I suspect that someone taunted the GM's, then ran around to the opposite side...pulling them into us. [censored].

Heya guys,

I just wanted to thank White Magus 4 putting this together, even though we got totally wiped we tried our best! We just gotta dust off, watch our backs and pray the monsters stay away! It was unfortunate what happened tonight, and god knows how i managed to survive the wipe at the end! I'll be there next monday to settle the score with hami again- round #3 for me, bring it on! ^^

Thanks

From Cowards Hill the first we knew was when the shout went out that two GM's had entered the bubble. By the time we had responded I think the defender team supporting the tank had been wiped.

Meh - it was going good til then. Spectacular mass death ensued. It was well organised, and definitely not as laggy as before - I was able to keep Odins Son targetted no problem at all.

Next time Hami, next time! /em shakes fist

Hi all,

Great job (till the GM pulling incident).

I was flying high above the hill but wasn't paying enough attention to notice where the GM's came from or why they came to Hami. All i know was I was getting ready for Hami to fall and everyone else fell instead. Somebody must have got impatient started a fight & ran when they were dying. Pulling the GM's to Hami!! Grrr!!

But thanks to all that organised it. It was going very well & Hami was going to die!

I'd be on for another try, Monday should be fine.

A flying patrol squad outside the bubble (maybe a few) might solve any problems like this again.

Even if I'm quite unexperienced with this Hami raids I congratulate Magus for his great job and organization. It will be a pleasure to join you lot again on the next time (hopefully without that unknown moron).

Thanks for all those who helped me and explained me the several phases of the Hami raid (Especially Bob and Mesmer).
