Knowing one of the Players That was Partially insulted.. It was Because of the Accent i Think. the Simple Way to Solve it would be to Just Speak Normally and in your Desricption Say he Speaks with a Heavy Irish Accent. Hell you could Even Ask A couple of the Irish Player Community and See if they Can Help you With Slang Terms for him. Just... Use it When Nessecary and not OTT.

Two people took your name and/or costume as an insult to Ireland and/or the Irish? Well, that really is ridiculous.

It's one thing to take exception to a portrayal that one may feel stereotypical and a mockery of the Irish (not something I think you either do or intend, btw) but feeling insulted by such an innocent name and costume is a bit much.

I can imagine it must be quite upsetting, Stalingrad and, for what it's worth, I haven't seen you do or say anything to cause offence during the unfortunately brief time I RPed with Leprechaun.

I hope we'll see the mischievous little fellow at the Clocktower again, Stalingrad.

So, if someone is small minded enough to be insulted by a put on accent, without even checking if the person doing it IS Irish, does that mean he should stop?

Using that logic, would you stop captilising almost every word you type if asked? My sense of English is insulted by the terrible way it's being employed. Caps are for first letter of first word in a sentence, or proper names.

There... See how incredibly petty and small minded it is to get insulted by someone using English in a different manner to how you use it? In the same way someone can be insulted by an affected accent, others can be by poor use of sentance structure, grammar, spelling, capitalisation, leetspeak... You name it.

I completely agree with FFM here. The character is just a bit of fun and fer f-'s sakes I'm sure any Irish who see him have laughed and kept playing. Seriously.. grow a sense of humour.

i have played MMOs for 6 years (how sad) and i have NEVER petitioned anyone, i don't like it, something moral probably (damn conscience), but /ignore definitly comes in handy

Should be ok if you tone the accent down, for some reason people get really annoyed about that sort of thing. Some of the insults you recieved sound like petition material though.

As far as I can see, you haven't done anything wrong so my answer is, as you say: /ignore.
And, indeed, I'd be tempted to petition them for harassment.

With regards to maturity, I've found that age and maturity frequently have very little correlation. I wouldn't worry about it and I look forward to seeing Lep at CT again.

Yup.
Where folks write up what happened either at the meet-up or to their characters at the meet-up from the previous night. Generally to keep those who couldn't attend up to date regarding what's going on with others and with plots.

I think we can all agree that the project is now an official sucess.

I agree, it has become a most bodacious event. Dude.

Personally, I think recaps will be very handy as I certainly can't get there every night and if plots start developing people will need some way to catch up (like me).

As for directions, I always click on the Fateweaver to get myself there.
