This is one of the reasons I started the league. So instead of guessing who is the best blaster, tank, scrapper etc, we would have some numbers, results and hard figures to compare with.
P.S. Hidden Healer I can give you a nice PB v's PB fight is you like? Possibly a nice WS fight too in the mnext month or so...

That is only for one on one's though. Each AT has its advantages and disadvantages which have a great affect on how well they can do when dualing. If you try looking at just results and figures you will get a very disorted picture. Having some nice statistics help but is no measure for rating whose top gun.
Anyway I have to have a good think about who's top gun as been blessed with many beatings from alot of top people

A few people I forgot to mention
Hammerfall- Tanker (Post hami fail arena ffa springs to mind)
Captain Skyfire (en/em blaster) (a pleasure to play with and against- this guy knows his stuff)
Mr Nice - (all alts - Another player who truley understands pvp)
Gandrel aka Dearch aka Satron (The best pvp villain I know)
obot aka Spyka aka Stryka ( Teamed with this person a few times, teaming against him is always painfull 
)
Mighty Sagauro - (Another very good scrapper)
Blasters: Plight, purely for one on one, elec vs. elec, he wins 9/10, the other 1 time he's drunk and it's at 3am. Understands elec powers more than me, and is generally one of the better blasters, though I won't respec my build Plight, sorry!
There are a few others but the names elude me.
Controllers: TG's Ice / Rad troller wiped the floor with me, deathbyproxy (mind/emp) held his own against a brute and a scrapper in Warburg when I d/ced, and caused a few problems for villians when we were in Siren's (porbably due to TK) and again, there's a few others.
Defenders: Hmm.. toughie. Never fought any defenders really, and the ones that do PvP are normally empaths supporting a team..ah stuff it, Cloe for giving me CM constantly and then fighting despite getting AS'ed.
Tankers: Frostburn was fun to team with in Warburg, barely any problems from NPCs and any villians, and there's an Invul / Energy tanker from the Italian Posse (Brivodo, I think?) who quite happily fought anything that moved in Warburg (and won).
Scrappers: Aburame, easily. Impresses me in PvE and PvP equally, and wiped the floor with me in Warburg a few times. Darkrazor always seems to be in Siren's and is a friendly competitor in any fight.
edit: Stalk, Mr Nice (what I've seen of him anyway), Dearch I've failed to make any dent on their HP, but they own me 
Im waiting to see one mentioning villains as they have been neglected so far.

Heh, ok to get the villian ball rolling then:
Brutes: Lady Fuya. No one else has came close to his/her tenacity in any fight, I've had my best PvP zone fight with Fuya to date and he/she still remains on my undefeated list. A pain and a pleasure to fight against.
Stalkers: Stalk-obot with his unique builds, Slight and Smirk for giving me my lovely 'You have defeated Slight. You have defeated Smirk.' on my combat tab which I'll never get again in a million years, and numerous others.
Corruptorpots: Had a few decent fights with these ATs, although I barely remember any of the names. Dearch kicks me all the place mind.
Dominators: Heh, any Dom that allowed me to get close enough to type 'AS!!' then Thunderclap them.
Masterminds: Toybox comes to mind, as well as a few others that I can't remember.. defos a few necro ones in there.
Sero reminded me of Afulia (I think that's her correct name) and Cold Penetration.

First, I thank Serophina for kind words but I really can't compare myself to the likes of Plight and Captain Freon..

Hmm not too many villains have made an impression so far, hmm
Brutes: Lady Fuya - the most difficult to kill Brute I have met at pvp zones, the only Brute to really make an impression. The only one on this list to really deserve the spot outright. Anata deserves a mention cause Ive seen so many of her 3vP matches
Corrupters: Dearch - is pretty much the only one I can even remember.
Stalkers: Stalk-obot, Smirk, hmm there have been some good ones but right now I cant remember.. Nobody I havent been able to kill though..
Masterminds: again, I cant remember the good ones.. Its been too long since I met them. There have been some.. I intend to make one on this list.. someday
Dominators: not even met anyone particularly impressive yet.

Defenders: Elerith - best Empath I have seen in team combat
Controllers: Lt.Keith - One of the best I have seen so far dueling, I havent seen them all though

does an epath suporting the team not deserve as much credit as sum1 doing the teams killing? u try keeping a whole team buffs and alive while keeping urself alive and running from the entire opposition team, it aint easy

Imo the first job of an empath in a PvP team is to stay alive and that Elerith does very well, in addition to keeping the buffs coming and does emergency heals too . My full respect.
Would have to say Shaman X is the best PvP team defender without question - he doesn't die and with an entire team running after him can keep his fellow team mates buffed up!

and I would dare say Salla and Elerith are just as good. They both stay alive and contribute a good amount to the team.
What Shaman X does better than any other is escape with his [censored] sellection of travel powers. Fly is too slow for emergency AP, and yet somehow he manages.
Salla is the kin/rad defender from hell. She is perhaps the biggest reason Lmn were so tough to get down. When they stopped using her regularly, Lmn were much easier.
Elerith I love having behind me. Ive seen him and Freon accomplish almost impossible tasks eg. duoing 10-15 villains on their own.

I rate them both (so not having a dig) but feel such tasks are probably due to the poor standard of villains they faced. I think most people would agree that in majority of cases, good team work amongst villains is a quite rare sight to see.

That is very true, PvP standard of most villains in zones is quite low.

I actually beleive its more down to being afraid of leaving the dizzy heights they are at on COH and entering into an unknown situation where they may not perform at a standard they have come to expect in PVP. But then Im cynical

I dont see how the content in COV is any less enjoyable but guess thats just me. I do know what its like from going from an AT you know inside out and can pound uo the levels insanely quickly solo (stalker) to one that has promise but lvls like a comatose snail (my ice/ice dom) and this is demoralising.
And of course some people have egos to preserve that means they dont want to deviate from a set routine.
