Oh dear, this is going to be a problem.
Move it to another day and people who can only make Thursdays will be mighty miffed.
Keep it on Thursday and you're asking a lot of people to make a major decision. 
Then again, I'm sure we have a lot of Scandinavians taking part who also have a team that will finish second in it's group taking part(no chance of beating Enlgand with or without Rooney, over ambitious Swedes 
)
I know my team this week has a Spanish player on for example.
Overall, I don't really see how matches can be moved to a different day, but maybe we should be allowed some flexibility to hold them earlier/later by an hour or two if all 6 members get in touch and they all agree it?
I insist that we play at the alloted time and anyone missing is removed from the competition and not allowed a sub.
(guess whose country isn't playing in the World Cup )
Really a good idea might be to move / split it between the Wednesday & Thursday so those going to get drunk and chant "Inger-lund, Inger-lund" etc can get it out of the way Wednesday instead.

I don't know what to say. I'll have a chat with Xanthus, see what we can cook up as a suggestion. Speaking from gut instinct, I don't have a problem with people having their matches early/later by prior arrangement, and nominating a member from each team to send results to the appropriate judge, but I can still see problems with that.

I for one will be very annoyed if this gets moved to a time/day I won't be able to make.
I think the way to get round this is too contact all the people you will be teamed with/against, and see whats appropriate for all of them.
As long as its not moved earlier than wednesday.
I would say the only fair way of doing this is to say taht all matches have to be fought on the original time and day unless all the team members involved agree to fight it later on that day or push it back to Friday, possibly Saturday(I think some sort of maximum time limit should be put in).
Personally, the clash is a pain but it's just one match and, looking at when the rest are scheduled for, will be the only clash of the tournament. I'm happy to skip going to the pub for a single match out of the 6 Enlgand will be playing in to win the Cup

Draw the fixtures for next week immediately after the fights tonight, and then post them up tonight. Once these are up, it's up to you to co-ordinate your team-mates and opponents to fight before 10pm on Friday the 16th of June. Results for Union should be PMed or global /t'd to me (Xanthus) and Defiant results should be sent to Captain Morgan. It might be a good idea to take a screenshot of your results, and post the date/time of your match on the thread as well in case people want to come and watch.

bleah, organise 6 random people for an arena bash isnt going to be fun and seeing how the people in my team havent responded to the PMs I sent them days ago I dont think I will bother.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but at this stage, it might be a good idea just to call the 3vP tourneys off, and say "Okay, that was the training phase, we have a better idea how to do this now", and organise another 3vP some other time... once you have thought of a more flexable system. Preferrably one where subs cannot be specifically picked, and the person they are subbing for loses their life automatically for a no-show.

Calling it off remains very much the least favoured option in my book, but thanks for the support QiSnake. I know everyone is excited by i7 release, and the World Cup isn't going to make it easy, but we can still get there if people who can turn up do so.

Standard practice with a tournament is to allow people to reschedule if a night doesn't suit. I really don't have any issues with this.

Im sure it be possible to sort out some other arrangements - calling off the tournie seems abit over reactive. I know I can spare abit of time out of my busy football/CoV/other stuff schedule.

If everyone in the team I'm drawn in with/against can make it another time, then I'm all for it and happy to try and sort it out despite my crapness at sorting things out. I'm sure everyone else can find one 10 minute slot at some point between 2 Thursdays to play their games, depends how much you want to do it.

Think this is a nice compromise, but I'd really prefer it if we could keep it to a set day and time - in addition to avoiding the practical nightmare of arranging so many matches independantly, it would keep up the fab tournament atmosphere (it's great fun chatting with everyone at the time, and also waiting to hear how friends matches turn out etc).
Anyway, I guess it might be an idea to consider taking a little break and resuming thursdays after the world cup is over? It's only 3 weeks, afterall (lol, I think?!!)
