Militia Thursdays

Nope , I don't have another "Militia" alt to play but if you really want me to ill make another.

Ah, maybe I should have clarified things a bit. I'm not sure either whether we'll be able to take on an AV without serious buffage (is that a word?) behind us. So we need to consider what to do this Thursday. I don't know whether we can still take on regular missions while part of a task force. Although some of us have alts in the Militia which we can use, most don't. So if anyone's got any ideas, I'm open to suggestion. Thoughts anyone?

How about a quick extra session tonight as suggested by FC if everyone is available?

Then we could clear the TF and "free" the toons for Thursday's session and team back up with the non-TF'ers (and new member Morgue who joined and teamed with Drummond and Cobra Saturday)

This of course relies on people being available this evening - I could be if everyone else is.

An alternative could be to focus on social RP/hunt sessions for Thursday and do a late TF session when FC is available - if we took it to IP or Talos, we might get some challenging encounters and test our strength as a team against higher level foes.

In other words, I'm up for any idea that accommodates as many as possible...

I'm relaxed as to what we do. I tried levelling 29 last night but there was a distinct lack of good teams apart from one or two I ended up in. Hopefully we'll thrash out some workable plan by Thursday.

If all can't make it tonight I think we should abandon that idea - too bad about the Unit 29 team-shortage, perhaps he/it could do with an SK and some hunting in IP/Talos Thursday? I would probably go with Lady Cobra before the tf, so she can meet some more of the other members.

I'm at my mother-in-laws house and I finally set my own computer up with her internet connection so I am able to play. I will be online thursday as usual and I will keep myself available should you encounter any nasty AV's that needs a good slashing.

I will be here until sunday if the TF gets finished and we set a day to do anything. My only issue is sharing this cpu and my CoH with my wife and her WoW.

Oh and BTW how did things go with the costume competition???

Did you do some runway/model thingie tuesday? If so, how did it turn out?

Anyone up for taking on the role as "co-admin" (Global Moderator) on the cohmilita forum? It's not really any trouble managing the boards atm but maybe in the future when traffic increases. The "Global Moderator" will have the exact same powers as I (the admin) have.

And yet another btw that I've been thinking about. Who is taking care of the base and paying rent and stuff like that?

As regards the costume competition, I unfortunately have no further toon slots available and hence can't make a "dummy" toon for costume suggestions.

Derek, I wouldn't mind helping with the moderation, as long as it's not too technically demanding, in which case I would be a poor choice.

I've come up with a possible costume (goodbye fire/fire blaster!) but if people just want to take screenshots and post them on our board, that might work instead.

I'm happy to moderate the board as well if you need more volunteers. I'm going to have a look back through this thread to see who set up the base as my memory is terrible. Could have been _Max_ but I'm really not sure...

Concearning the moderating on the cohmilitia forums it will basically be nothing more than seeing what we need to have on the forums, new boards and stuff. Kicking/banning people that have no business there and discussing new recruits. Maybe people with higher IC-ranks should be moderators as that would make more sense when discussing the eventual new recruits. Also lock threads and move threads that are of topic, plus editing/deleting posts that are rude/offending. All of this is pretty standard and not Really neccesary as we know each other quite well and I can't imagine anyone of us going all heywire insulting everyone else. It might come in handy in the future though.

Although we can discuss this moderator business for quite some time if we need to. There is, as said earlier, no real need for any administrative (is that even a word?) backup at the moment.

Ok, I think we need to sort out the TF situation once and for all as I think it's dragging on for too long. What I propose is this: that as many people as possible come on a night this week (preferrably before Thursday) and get it sorted. Last Thursday was difficult for everyone I feel.

I am free tomorrow, Tuesday and maybe even late Wednesday to get it done. If any or all of us can show up for it, that would be great as I think we will need as many as possible to complete it. If FC can't make it, we may just have to give it our best go buffage or not.

Thoughts and opinions welcome but I think we need to get back to having open missions as soon as possible. I'll keep checking here and as soon as we have a workable solution I say we go for it.

Hi there. Yes, you'd be more than welcome to join the madness that is the Militia. Just to give you the lowdown, we're more or less between levels 10-21 and are looking for tankers and defenders at the moment. Some of us are currently locked into the Synapse taskforce but I'm hoping that we can finish that off soon. Not sure how things are going to go Thursay, it depends on what happens before then!

Ok, I'm going to suggest a dangerous idea here and probably one that's going to be pretty unpopular. As much as I want to finish the TF, I just don't see that enough of us are going to be on at any time soon to complete it. I'm concerned that we have not been able to team with a lot of our number for a few weeks and unless we do something we're going to lose touch.

Therefore, I am proposing that we quit the taskforce. I would love to see it out but at the moment there are a few regulars who are locked out and those who are involved cannot do any other missions. We'll have to fudge some sort of reason IC (perhaps some other hero group got to the King before we did) I don't know, but that's my suggestion.

I have a Vahzilok I oculd build up, she's a Rad/Rad Sci defender but I think I can get to about level 12.... soonish?

As I said, Morgue is a Blaster who will be a Warshade when my main hits 50 some time next century.
