No leveling for me this weekend... to busy in RL. Good that we have our thursdays. If I was to reply on spontaneous gaming I could as well cancel my subscription =P

Anyone playing maybe later this evening? Depending on how early my guests leave (if they leave at all before midnight) I might log in a while and level up that Troller. Otherwise maybe tomorow evening. I'd like for him to have atleast travel power before introducing him to the team so some leveling is required although there is no real rush.

Is this a good build for a Troller? I've never played one before...

That is sooooo wierd cause as I said yesterday I set up a new user and supplied my email address which worked out just fine.

Oh and another thing that I came to think about... with increasing members and stuff... who wants to be a moderator? Not so much to run the boards, more for answering questions and stuff... since I have stated that new members can PM me or any moderator (currently only Dante/Amber Banshee).

After the mission and after staying outide his apartment for a while talking to Lost and Angelus, Derek opened the door and motioned for Angelus and Lost to step inside. He baffled at the sight of the apartment when he stepped inside.

“Dude… It’s spotless…” The whole apartment basically sparkled everything was clean, polished, washed. It looked like somebody had thrown out everything and replaced it with brand new stuff.

“Indeed…” came the reply from the angel. “…Thou asked for thy house to be clean and so I willed it.”

“Cool.” Derek took of his boots. “Step inside guys, there’s a fridge next to the couch. Just grab a brew if you want one…”

Angelus stepped inside the living room and stood by the couch as though guarding it. Lost lingered in the hallway. “Hey Lost!” Derek said. “Go on in… grab a beer, sit down. Take it easy and rest…”

“I don’t drink… beer. I think…” Lost stepped inside the living room as well. “But sitting down would feel nice.” She sat down in the couch and carefully leaned back against the pillows.

Derek went into the bedroom and changed into a pair of worn, baggy pants and a T-shirt. He threw the Militia uniform in the laundry basket. “What the… Hey Angelus! You did my laundry as well?”

“Indeed” Angelus raised an eyebrow and looked at Derek as he emerged from the bedroom. “’twas dirty was it not?”

“Yeah it was but… thanks man.”

“Anytime, young warrior of earth.”

Derek went over to the fridge and grabbed two bottles. He threw one to Angelus. “You sure you don’t want one Lost?” He turned his head to look at the former Vahzilok.

“No. Thanks… I’m good.”

“Aight…” He opened the bottle with his teeth and took a few big gulps. He went into the bedroom again and pulled out a spare bedspread and a cover for the couch so Lost could go to sleep if she wanted. “You tired Lost?” he asked.

“A little. I think one of my arms is coming loose as well.”

“Fair princess; allow thee to tend to thy undead couture.” The angel simply looked at Lost’s arm, and the seems tightened into place. “Lo, thy arm is restored O beautiful corpse.”

Lost simply stared upwards at Angelus. “Thanks” she said, rubbing her arm.

Derek emerged again from the bedroom with the stuff for the couch. “Here you go girl. Let’s make your bed.” Lost got up from the couch and Derek moved the pillows so he could lay down the bedspread. He was about to shake it into place when it suddenly disappeared from his hands. Before he knew it, the cloth was already on the couch, along with the pillow and cover, so neatly done any army General would be proud. The couch looked so comfortable one was tempted to bounce a quarter off the surface.

Derek watched in amusement as Angelus smirked proudly. He shook his head and smiled in return. Lost sat down again and leant against the pillow.

“So…” Derek said, taking a seat and downing the rest of his beer. “…What you want to do now? Watch TV or something?”

Lost was already sleeping it seemed, but Angelus replied “Do as you wish young mutant and I shall stand guard”.

Derek grabbed the remote and turned on the TV while grabbing another beer. “Dude, take a seat, slouch back and you know, relax a little. Come on Angelus, sit down and watch this, it’s a funny show, and you better drink that beer. Don’t be a woose.”

Angelus reluctantly obeys. He sits tentatively on a small sofa and after several seconds of analysing the bottle of beer, he takes a sip. The moment to beverage hit his tongue; the angel was out cold, snoring loudly.

“Oh man” Derek moaned. “You two are the worst guests ever”

Derek was walking back and forth in his apartment. He had a headache out of this world, a remnant of the party he was at last night. He had been drinking more than anyone else but he kept thinking about Amber the whole evening and hadn’t really been able to enjoy the party.

He sat down in the couch, too fast, too hard and his headache sent a harsh reminder that it was still there. “Gah! Damnit. And no f**king painkillers neither.” He lay down on the couch and put a pillow over his head. The pain eased up a bit. “I really should call her…” He thought to himself. “But she seemed so pi**ed when I left the mission the other day. But she promised to call me, but… I don’t know, maybe I could ask Angel or… No. I can’t do that. I’m calling her…” He sat up in the sofa again, leaned over to his side and produced a beer from his small fridge by the sofa. He opened it and reached for his phone. He dialled Saffron’s number and took a few gulps of the beer as the call was connecting.

“Hello.”

“Hi babe… It’s D.”

“Oh. Hi… D…”

“Listen I just… I don’t know… Are you mad at me?”

“Mad, no. Why?”

“You sounded so… edgy or something over the com-link. After I offered to follow Ms. Sunshine to HQ. I only left ‘cause I really was hurt and ‘cause I figured that girl really needed help. Someone to talk to, whatever. She should go to therapy, some kind of magic, ninja therapist that’ll be all like ‘Ninja Vanish!’ and then her problems will be solved...”

Saffron was listening as Derek rambling on with some kind of excuse or explanation or whatever for his behaviour Thursday evening. She hadn’t meant to speak to him about this yet. She was hoping the whole thing would go away by itself.

“It’s not you hun,” she said, “It’s just her. She has to be the centre of attention all the time, throwing temper tantrums over the slightest thing. Plus the way she talks about mutation it’s as if we both have a disease or something.”

“Oh,” said Derek

“It just…grates after a while,” she said. “She loves people running around fussing after her and you’re just fuelling it.”

“Well, look, I didn’t mean to babe,” continued Derek, trying to apologise for something that made no sense to him.

Saffron listened to him for a while, the two of them agreeing to meet later on in the week. Eventually Saffron made excuses of having to get to a lecture and the call ended, neither of them really sure what was happening. She tried to think of something else, to concentrate on her music but the doubts continued to nag at her. Sabrina was a pretty woman. She couldn’t help feeling threatened by her. She tried to put the thoughts out of her head and went back to her guitar….

Personally, Id skip the teleport powers and rain of fire to get swift / health / stamina.

Bare in mind Rain of Fire is a tasty AoE power, but causes all the enemies in it to scatter and run off, and then to get angry and attack you. To use it effectively you need some way of containing them - like an Ice tank, Controller, or Storm defender. Otherwise its best saved as a "Finish them off" power.

Maybe... I'm not sure. I only had a very basic idea of the character and... yes I ´think it is needed for rp-purposes.

Otherwise I do realize the lack of efficiency in having two powers basically doing the same thing.

I regged at the forums in May this year. I started playing like a week or two before that... or maybe a month... I got my blaster on Defiant up to lv15 with sporadic gameplay. So half a year maybe.

Cool! Taskforce. I missed the last one =(

And on a whole different note... when anyone finds the time I really need help kicking some a$$ so I can get my extra costume slot.

So there. As before pay no attention to any order that the powers are in.

Well I'll be keeping this in mind when the next respec opportunity comes along.

Stealth and Kick I have for rp-purposes and I don't like the idea of giving up my Follow up as Hoplite suggest although I am willing to try.

The reason I choose the passive protection powers was that I thought they would fit in better with my character. They're the reason he found out he was a mutant as late in his life as he did (that and some ignorance and being rather daft sometimes =P ). He always thought he was just being a mean fighter rather than a mutant with damage-resisting powers. having powers requiring concentration and focus might have given it away some since he's no martial artist with any of that chi-stuff .

But I'v been beginning to realise that the passive powers suck a bit, that's why I might have tried to overcompensate a little with too many powerslots.

edit: I am also quite fond of my recharge reductions although they 'cause me to drain a lot of stamina. I really hate having to wait for powers to charge up. My current build allows me to do an attack all the time. As soon as an attack is finished another one has recharged so I'm never without attacks to execute. :edit
