This is especially bad considering its my first day on the team and hopefully this doesn't cause problems. I should be on next week. Sorry once again,

Just remembered, I'd like to say a big hello to all the new people who have joined if I haven't done so already. My character, Amber, won't be there tonight either but I'm sure I'll see you around soon.

Greetings members of Militia,

as my host and savior Chaos Mage already explained why I want to join your SG as well as how I came to your world and how I act in his presence up to now, it would be suitable I guess to inform you a bit about me myself what I will try but to explain an to you entire alien World and inhabitants as well as myself may cause more questions then an real overview, so you may forgive me when I jump a bit when I try to explain, before you decide to include me into your community or not.

I was born from Aya Gelanden after your calculation of time about 145 years ago on my planet called Terr’Arron. Which is as I found out unluckily with some of Paragons Magicans and the circle called MAGI not known in any down written human manifest yet. But enough of that for the moment, the time of regret and sorrow has passed and I will now be a part of your world if I want it or not it seems.

As I found out already from some of your so called fairy tales and alike most humans call me an Elf what is physically really matching as well as in some other aspects I must admit when they see me first. What was rather confusing because I am the first of my race as I know to step on your Earth. So I will have to deepen my studies how its possible somebody in an world so far away from mine was able to write storys with matching in my entire race in so many ways. Well maybe its coincidence, or even some of my race stranded somewhere else starting new as Elfes but I loose my focus again.

So lets go on to tell you about me now…

As I already mentioned my mothers name is Aya Gelanden she is one of my clans healers who teached how to use my magical powers to heal others as well as myself. My father was one young mage called Lancorian Windan deeply interested in the fascination of lightning and storms. So from him I learned much about summoning lightning itself in different was only my imagination has to form.

But for now enough of myself and more about my people …

We are talking about ourselfes as Leys, all of my race are naturally able to use magic especially regarding the forces of nature itself. As individuals not all of us are pure good or evil and even in our history there are individuals causing out of selfish reasons pain and death to others mainly by the miss use of magic by performing Necromancy or Summoning of Demonic forces which was each time punished by execution by our Guardian. But unlike your history those cases are only very rare under my people and we never went on war on one another.

If an fight between 2 individuals or even entire clans is unavoidable the Clans Chieftan or for entire clans the Guardian him or herself calls the 2 different parties together and they fight inside an therefore neutral holded area till only one side stands. The winning party gets right then and the weaker party is resurrected when not totally torn apart and accepts their defiat or get executed on the spot.

Our social system is quite easy I guess at least I see it so myself, we are bound in Clan like communities living in almost perfect harmony with our surroundings. Each Clan has an Chieftan who is normally the oldest or most experienced Ley in the Clan either Male or Female does not matter and each 20 years our Clan meets to openly discuss as who takes Leadership next or if the Chieftan may keep his position which is not uncommon as he himself retreats when he see there is another Ley in the Clan more suitable for the position. All 100 years all Chieftans meet to decide who shall hold the position of the Guardian, which then has the task to help all others with their grief and problems. Equipped with the most powerful Artefakts my race holds the Guardian is not only the leading force of our clans he or she is then as well the most powerful individual on our entire planet.

Another major difference between Leys and Humans is for sure our way of aging, as I learned humans are not getting older then 100 years under normal circumstances. For an Ley it is hard to give an average lifetime, we are not really immortal but also not really dying at an certain age, let me try to explain it. An average Ley is growing after birth till he reach the age of 45-50 after that he is seen as an adult in our society. It is normal for an Ley to reach an Lifetime of 1.000-5.000 years or even older, when not killed on an hunt or accident. But some even die with 150 – 300 years or even earlier, without any force from outside. You can say that as long an Ley has an reason to live from either his position in his clan or as an member of his family or even as the existence of the one he love he will not die, well not without some force.

As example I know of different Leys who just died after their loved once where murdered or deseased of an illness within 2-3 days merely by loosing their focus or the idea why to stay alive. Or one of our most powerful Mages just died after 8.000 years of existence because he became aware that there is nothing else he want to learn and all of his familly deceased many hundred years ago. Or one of our eldest and wisest healer Orleon Darnefey living over 13.000 years now still teaching and helping younger Leys in the art of healing magic and the curing and threatment of the ill.

Also we have never touched or performed any research in what you call technical or science area. What humans have done to their planet by poisoning and tearing it apart has no equal in my world and I pray it will never have.

So as hard it may be to get used for all on earth to me and my way of acting in many ways you will hardly imagine how extreme the difference is as I encounter an hole new world which I have to find out what is the right way of reacting on anything regarding your social systems and traditions.

Well think for now its enough to tell you about me even If I would love to tell you much more and not only this small fragment.

See you tonight i hope and feel free to ask if any questions come up after my short introduction.

Best wishes,

Leygran Windan

I haven't had time to level Hawkshaw, so he's still level 4. I expect some of the others will be in the same boat.

I'm expecting to be a bit late too, but I'm itching to join in :/

Ironclad

Sorry we lost you Manolith.

Blitz

The level cap for next week is 10 with an allowance of up to 11 in case anyone's having fun and doesn't want to quit. But no higher than 11 please.

Max

Thanks for organising the SG. I know nothing about the running of one but I understand everyone being in SG mode helps to gather points so I'll be in whenever possible.

All

Another good night's gaming as far as I'm concerned. We had a few early team organisation probs but they seemed to be solved effortlessly. Is the COV version going well? I know a few of you are involved.

Should we start inviting our alts to the sg so we can play IC more often? I know my tanker, Battleflag would be glad to join. No change to the Thursday crowd though.

It sounds like a good time was had by all. Shame I couldn't make it. Will definitely be there for next time although Amber may well be out on Monday to get levelling up to 10.

Regarding alts, as far as I am aware, our base rent is calculated on the number of members we have so if we all add our alts, we may end up pricing ourselves out of a home. I'm not sure on this point, but I'm sure someone with more experience of SGs can advise.

I was too late to get in on the CoV equivalent but I'm mulling maybe running something similar on Monday nights (real-life commitments depending...). If anyone missed out and thinks they'd like to try the same, let me know. If there's enough takers, maybe we can organise something.

Im gonna try and get Spelunker mission for next Thursday. Would be helpful If a couple of other Militia members get it too? Then we can get the blessed thing out of the way!

As a side note, would militia members mind putting in a breif resume of their bio in their ID just so I can refresh my memory whilst we play the game? Most have I know, but it kinda helps for all...

Great fun btw! Battleflag - I salute you!

Just to let people know, I've started work on the base, but have suddenly realised how expensive everything is.

So, if people could stay in SG mode for these low-levels at least, whilst there's no influence penalty, it'd be much appreciated. (it's not essential though, for those who don't want to)

Also, what useful item do people want to eventually see first? Teleporter or Rez-Station?

Posted

I don't really know much about bases so I'll go with the majority for now. I am going to need an invite to the SG at some time, hopefully next Thursday unless someone catches me beforehand.

Teleporter or res-er, hmmm well hopefully most of our healers are getting there res powers now that the lvl is 10 for next thursday, so maybe porters so its easier for us to meet up?

Force Commander has spelunker mission ready for his team on Thurdsay! Yay!

I keep hearing about the Spelunker mission but I can't remember getting it. I imagine it's to do with caves but is there more detail?

I'll probably be on with my lev 15 tanker Battleflag, if anyone wants to team up just say so and I will if I can.

Spelunker Mission is "Rescue Fortune teller" mission that is always in Perez Park. It is avaialble from levels 10-14 from: Dr Trevor Seaborn, Hugo Redding, Haly Phillips.

Now, I know badge hunting is not the purpose of the Militia, but there are a couple of badges that are required in order to get the Accolades. Most of them are level 30+ badges and pretty easy to get, but Spelunker is one that is very easy to miss.

The spelunker badge is one of the requisites to the "Atlas Medallion" badge, which gives you a permenant +5 endurance. Which is nice

I hope that explains the whole spelunker thing and why its relatively important to get that mission and badge

Thanks for the info, I know the mission now.

I'm(Devlin Saint)going to try to get on around 7 to 7.30ish tonight to try to get from lev 8 to 10 by Thursday. I just thought I mention it in case anyone else was going to do the same. If you're not it's no prob.
