You're wrong about the numbers IMO. Its skill, teamwork and those things that make the difference. Good players know how to make a good team, they have superior teamtactics which includes picking the right builds IMO.
A team of all Ice/nrg blasters would loose to a balanced team. A team of all controllers would loose to a balanced team.
You think its build cause you think its about 1on1's and its not. Its about teamtactics, fighting the right targets, and all those things. You can bring all of your FotM builds against one of the test going SG's and you would loose.

Thinking back, I think I heard Statesman, RL etc will be GMs, not AVs, and that GMs would be made tougher in issue 7. So a solo stalker, however experienced at PvP wouln't do very well against them.
Also, since you don't get xp for PvP I expect most level 50s are in the hands of experenced PvEers, not PvPers (discounting PLers). I expect Sirens to remain the zone of choice for hardcore PvPers, since level 20-30 can be reached quite easily.

I'm not entirely sure you got what I meant - the 90% skill applies to teamwork, tactics, actual ability at the keyboard, knowledge of what powers do what. Of course a balanced team will sweep a loaded team of ice/en, or fire/rad, or spines/regen scrappers. But in 1 vs 1 or balanced team vs balanced team, the team containing the FoTM builds - say a couple of ice/en blasters, some spines/regen scrappers, an ice tank, with some stormies and some /rad trollers for instance, would comfortably beat a team of more PvE facing combos, as the balance is too skewed to build at the moment.
For example, my hubby has a rad/dark corruptor with tp as travel power. It works for PvE very effectively, but without respeccing to include at least combat jumping, he has a very tricky time in PvP. This is probably because he is rubbish . Same can no doubt be said for a lot of other builds that you just don't see in PvP, because they know that the difficulty setting is set too high.
I love PvP, my hubby enjoys it, even if he gets killed more than he kills, but the spread of builds in there needs to be more varied IMO. I wanna fight a trick arrow/archery defender!

From what I understand of the zone and how it works, I actually suspect that Tankers may be rather useful there. It has fixed emplacements that need defending, and Giant Monster-level signature characters that will require large groups to take down.
In both of these situations, I suspect Tankers will prove rather handy.

and will allow to create a PvP character on the go and simply enter straight away the PvP zone. Without the option to exit from it.
Special PvP rewards that do not interfere with PvE (ranked emotes,Ranked auras,Ranked animations,Ranked temp powers_
PvP in game Hall of Fame
Remove debt from pvp zones
Link the EU PvP zones to each other
Create an international PvP server where Korea,USA,Europe players battle it out giving the opportunity for worldwide CoH events
Solve asap major PvP issues such as toggle dropping
Allow Villains and Heroes teaming in warburg
Lower base item prices so that smaller SG's can participate in Base Raiding.

Troller are only overpowered in duals, in team situations they are very ballanced IMO. Im pretty sure Nights team would win, it depends a bit on the secondary of the controllers thou. But against most controller team odds are on the villain team.
Diverse buffing is the solution for good teams right now. We are comming to union now as villain, so in about a month I figure we are ready to clear sirens and warburg, just to show villains are by no means underpowered. Well they are in duals, but they arent in team fights.

For now I would settle with a PvP developer, one that only focuses on making PvP better. And then get some of these things down the line, cause right now PvP suffers from having no goals, no reason to improve.

Not only did they not have Thaw or ID, they had taken them and respecced out of those powers.

One lot of perception buff for the controllers and the stalkers are useless.
And stacked holds from 8 controllers isn't going to be counter acted by a couple of clearmind equivilents.
Not to mention the controller secondaries, 8 buffs/debuffs/heals along with stacked holds and containment for damage.
Say bye bye villains.

Here to back this up, as I've seen those players too - it beggars belief, it really does, but it happens all the same. Also, note the Sonic Corruptor without any shields (or Clarity in his 40 build, but we can ignore that for Sirens), but with the entire medicine pool ftw. \o/

I don't think anyone on Union believes villains are underpowered - certainly, LoUD do our level best to clear up that misconception, along with certain other notable players. The only problems we face are that, one - we're more often than not heavily outnumbered; two - there's a distinct lack of support toons, and those that exist are heavily lacking in any kind of "support" (see above). There's a surfeit of Stalkers, and scarce few of them (proportionally) know how to work as part of a team. I look forward to seeing the PDs in the Union PvP zones, though.
