Well, if we can all try to get on by 8pm then we should be able to get a few missions in without staying up til Stupid O'clock (never a good idea on a Monday night )
Was aiming to get Tleo that last bar to 37 tonight, but might pop by with Brother Mindshifter

Just a short post to say thanks for the great team in Hollows last night.
Once again the Outcast who took up the title of Frostfire was dealt with, and a cave filled with Magmite abominations was cleared. The later mission was a titanic struggle between a small but valiant Imperial Rifle Squad and an Igneous horde of near inexhaustible numbers and unyielding savagery.
There is also a new convert to the cause - Captain Cymru (Inv/En Tanker Lvl 24) who has been expected into the order of Terminators and is on-call to assist whenever needed. (No problem in exemping down)
Greetings Brothers.
I must say after enduring a team of trainees late night, it was great to be in a team who knew what they were doing. Again I found that there was a new fool who took up the title of Frostfire (when will they learn?). I will try to join you tonight as I've almost managed to fix my gravity boots. Soon I'll be able to take to the skies.
Peace Harcos.
OK, I have bought my first set of Warhammer 40k models, which are three space marines and now I can totally see what you mean with this SG
So far It has taken me a couple of hours to paint them and if I can sneak downstairs tonight ( ) then they will be finished
All that fun for only 20 quid (I didn't have any equipment, hence the price).
I am the Blaster, I have filled the role of Tank, Controller and Defender

Okay I figure I could use another regular weekly get together like my defender team, but would rather like to get a look at the whole villains side of things.
I know the ne'er-do-well counterparts thing has been mentioned a couple of times in passing, but might there be any actual interest in having an 8-man team meet up once a week (probably Wednesday) for a couple of hours (probably 7-9 or 8-10 - whichever works best). Obviously if there was further interest there'd be scope for additional 'chapters', who would of course be free to arrange to play whenever the hell they felt like.
Basic sales pitch: a 'chapter' would consist of 8 players, 1 Warmaster, 1 Dark Apostle, 0-1 Apprentices and 5-6 Bloodletters.
Bloodletters would be AR/traps corrupters. A Warmaster would be a robots/traps mm or an AR/traps corrupter. Both would be technology origin.
There are of course advantages and disadvantages to this setup - there would be no aim or buildup, or even a targetting drone, but on the other hand we would potentially have very high defence (from multiple force field generators) alongside nigh-impenetrable mezz protection even if a shot did hit, 'tanking' devices such as acid mortar and seeker drones, and (ignoring the leadership pool) no toggles.
The Dark Apostle would conceptually be a magic-origin spiritual leader/supporter, as opposed to the tactical leadership of the Warmaster. I was thinking necro/dark mm (the zombies being victims/prisoners, having had any useful information ripped out of them, and the better minions perhaps being fallen Apostles) or a dark/dark corrupter, with the Apprentice being a dark/dark corrupter.
Aside from the PvE side of things, I would hope we might be able to arrange an occasional confrontation with our inferior, soft-hearted counterparts from Paragon City in the PvP zones
I would feel compelled to point out that my view on this group is only moderately inspired by Warhammer - some cool sounding names and some basic roles within the group, perhaps even some influence on the look of our outfits, but any inaccuracies are not some glaring oversight on my part but simply a matter of not being terribly important to me! I have no idea what a Bloodletter's role is within the Chaos Marines, I simply liked the name, which coincidentally I heard first as a variety of Drudge in Asheron's Call (altho I concede it's quite likely they pinched the name from the Chaos Marines variety).
I would also not go so far as to make any detailed backstory that might impose on ideas present or future for the Imperial Rifles. I'm quite happy to explain away the animosity our group holds for the IR as that it was them that got us locked up in the Zigg where we would be starting prior to leaving for the Rogue Isles. If anyone has any grander ideas in mind I'd love to hear them - I've found the standard of creative writing on these forums to be mighty impressive (at its best anyway - it can't all be good, even I've put things on here ).
Anyway, as you may have surmised, I've given a fair amount of thought to this - I've spent the better part of the last 2 or 3 weeks away from home and CoH, altho not so much away from the internet - I just hijack the connection of whoever I'm staying with
Anyway, if you're interested, I don't know, maybe PMs would be better so as not to hijack this thread? Then I'd get a feel for whether there's sufficient interest as to be worth making a thread on the villains board for it as we start to organise things more solidly.
Also, any costume designing enthusiasts, feel free to play about with the designer for uniforms and the like for us

Ils - TBH I think we need to sort out a regular meet for the IR's, because as much as I love playing with them I don't think they're going to be my main... and I know a lot of you have other toons to level too (me, I want to get my villain to 40, preferably before the next issue hits but *very* unlikely).
The Rifles concept really only works when we're all on a team together, so how about people post here when they want a Rifles team for the night? We did that Monday, and it all rocked! Do people want to do a regular 1 or 2 nights a week, or should we keep it more random?
Randoms better for me I spose, at least 2 nights a week would be perfect IMO.
It all depends on whether our jobs permit us to even get online. I'd like to meet up twice a week but I hardly ever get a chance. Why not have a general meeting on days like Friday evening and Saturday when ever.
Peace out.
I am Terra Byte!
As a man of too many alts - might well have to learn French or German so I can fill up those unsed slots - I don't really have a prime ALT which is occupying my time, so concentrating on one over others isn't an issue.
However due to those pesky things called family and work time for playing CoH/CoV is a bit limited - or needs a bit of negotiation.
I can usally be found heroing away on Monday and Thursday, and possible Saturday or Sunday daytimes.
The regular event sounds better but I still think its worth posting here to get an improtu group together
To be honest I have trouble commiting to a specific time as to when I am going to be on. I play every Tuesday in an all defender team between 7 and 9. Other than that I just play as and when I can/feel like it. My gf works most weekends so I can normally be found online then, but I know that is when I will get a good amount of uninterupted time online so like to concentrate on my main chars, sign up for tfs etc. I'm happy keeping it as a "log on when you feel like it" SG. I'm guessing aswell that everyone in the SG is a registered forum user in which case organising teams like feather did the other night should work ok. Just put a post on the thread saying something like I want to run Atta on saturday at 2pm or something so everyone knows if the bring their Rifle on there will be a team running.
If I'm soloing, I'm happy to switch to Salvo. (Usually, no promises.)
Ok, thinking of making a BS/Regen Terminator.
What are the colours for it again? Just says "Standard Colours" but then Purple and Silver. Which one, aaaah?
Also, I can't think of a name.

"Standard Colours" basically means the default SG colours, so you colour it how you want (eyes need to be 5th red in) and then configure it in SG mode.
How about Aciliras or something like that for a name?
Ah, ok. Might pick a different build, actually. Hmm, I dunno.
Created, need an invite pleaaaase
Had to go earlier so Cross couldn't get me one.
D just posted that he's only likely to be around on Fridays and Saturdays, so if we have a regular meetup, one of those would be best to my mind. This was his idea after all!
Wednesdays are out for me, coz I just got in from work, and I'm knackered .

Agreed.
Could some of you also post on our Log thread in creative please. I log everytime I play (which isn't much ) and I know D likes to read them. We must keep our SG alive and do all we can to support our Commander! It's down to him that we have such an SG!!

FOR COMMANDER BAL MATRAM!
Brother Maxim (lvl 12) will on-line this evening if needed for any squad missions.
Have managed to develop numerous contacts with key individuals around the city who have extensive knowledge of heratical groups and activities. All are now reachable on tactical comms frequency
