dreamer, yup i had thought of this, i think we should be ok with a vault room and a IoP anchor in there, not entirely sure, but i can A) ask someone who knows/can find out and B) we can afford that anyway i think, got about 650k+ spare; but we do need a plot upgrade.

Spider, 1st SF is 16+ i think, i did it then, unless it was 18 :s, second one is 20+ and is available through the base computer.

Note to base builders, the IOP stand actually counts as an IOP so the vault must be large enough to accomodate 2 IOPs. That said you dont (didnt in beta) need an IOP stand to place an IOP

Have moved a couple of rooms around in the base so we can fit the required eight in without expanding the plot - and should now have enough room for two IoP chambers. First one installed.
So we now have:
- 8x Rooms need one more
- 1x Teleporter Room check
- 1x Raid Teleporter check, though it's bloody huge
- 1x Vault (for IoP Base) check
- 1x Item of Power Base not sure we need this
- 6x Dimensional Anchors to be installed
- 1x Mission Computer check

2 things, you put 2 raid tpers in according to this? and i hope you didnt move our little advisor in the control room, hes a personal item and costs us salvage every time we rebuild him, the way around this is doubling up rooms while you move them to use as storage, but for now i trust ya

(1) was aware Advisor and the Computer were specials, so built new slimline control room and shifted them across without destroying them - then deleted old one and got the prestige back.
(2) We only have one teleporter - other one was a typo, now edited

There's definitely one thing missing though. I really don't feel it's a proper villainous base without a decent sized patch of molten hot magma. (If not for KBing visiting raiders into, then just for doing toast over in the morning.)

ok then... IMPORTANT UPDATE
a week or two ago i spoke to a friend who many of you will know (and said i wouldnt name names here) about taking over their SG. its a proposed merger, but the SG we have means too much to me to drop etc, its a tough choice for them, as i know i wouldnt drop our group for anything, we can do what we must with our core i feel, but i also feel in this time of hardship for bases, we really should become sometihng special. The SG in question is sound and would bring a base of 10 ish or so solid ppl i think. the plan is to have a meet up on monday at 8 pm UK time tho, email both Plight Trawler and Plight's Bane if you have any questions. I'll update as apropriate.
btw, what this will mean is the 2 toons per person will be stead fast and unlikely to change, anything beyond these 2 will have to be alt sg members and will not count towards our main base, so on this note let me know if u dont want anything like the propesed idea

Dreamer, the GMs have no control over anything SG related, i have been told this several times, SGs are player run entities and the GMs literally can't interfere. As i said, nothing is set in stone, but me and their leader have talked some. hopefully they can make monday night to talk to us.

Base update:
Thanks to a huge haul of salvage from Troubler (/em praise), we now have two zone telepads in the base.
These will currently take you to Mercy, Port Oakes, Sharkhead and Cap Au Diable. Simply go close to the telepad (but not into it) and click on the back of the control terminal to be warped where you want to go.... although exactly where you land in the zone seems a little bit random.
We now also have all the Dimensional Anchors correctly installed and all the bits Zap says we need to start a raid or Cathedral Of Pain trial.
Unfortunately, since you can only have one anchor per room and anchors can't be placed in vaults or entranceways (took me a bit of swearing to work that out), we're down to one IoP chamber.

Yup. There is now no spare space for any more rooms on our starter plot. If we want a bigger base, we have to pay for the bigger plot - and bigger rent.
I say stick to the one IoP for now... considering that:
(a) this trial will only be intermittently available
(b) it's not a cakewalk by any means (see US board post here)...
...we'll not be staggering under a stack of them for a whiles...

Thought I should post in here and say hi for anyone I haven't said it to in-game yet
I'm playing as Miss Conceive and got a late start on the game due to getting stuck in a financial ditch. All good now though and on my way to world domination
I live down in Brighton so I'll probably head along to the comic expo with ToeBee.
