I do love the idea of teamspeak but one slight problem...when i try to connect to the server it says that the server is down, my brother has taken a look at it becoz he uses it in various other games but he cant figure it out, is the server actually down?

Please note, due to cost cutting measures, the server has been reduced in capacity to 25 slots. This means idlers will not be tolerated. PLease, if you waiting for someone use MSN to co-ordinate logging onto TS.
Please also change your 'nickname' to your Global chat handle. Eg.

This way i can check you are using the Union TS for its intended purpose.
The use of the server for other games is permitted only in moderation. Albeit some of my long term friends will not be kicked for playing in the land of fluffy elves.
Just be nice, respect the fact that a number of us are paying for the service and enjoy.

I'd just like to add something to this thread.
The major rule for the TS server is - Play Nice.
There have been several instances recently of people deciding to play silly buggers on the server. Playing the login/logout game and doing other generally unsociable things.
Doing this sort of stuff will get you a variety of responses, depending on who's also on the server.
If there's anyone on the server with SA next to their name and you're playing silly buggers, expect to be kicked.
If you keep playing silly buggers, expect to get an IP ban.
And if *certain* Admins are online and respond first, expect to get an earful of verbal and THEN the Kick/Ban.
I'm not talking about being in a private channel and having a laugh with your friends over comms. But if you come into an already occupied channel and start making a nuisance of yourself, that's unsociable. If you keep logging out and back in, thus spamming 'new player' and 'player left' announcements to those people who have them enabled, that's unsociable.
So, in closing. Don't annoy the locals, and play nice.

Yes, it's still being used, however as you mentioned, a lot of the core group of users have gone over to WoW for a while, some temporarily, some more permanently ... That said, there are CoH players on there and all of the WoW players are very much veterans of Paragon anyway. 
Excuse the thread necromancy, but is this server still active? None of the CoH players I know have been able to get on it for some times so just wondered.

Server's still running, but is now effectively a private server. Most of the usual mob on it (who were the ones who paid the bills, as it happens) have gone to the land of the Happy Smiling Elves, and since they started doing 20 man raids, the sever got congested and spaces started running out
So the server password got changed, and as general policy, it's now reserved for the regulars/old guard and their closest partners in crime.
Sorry, but it's effectively dead for the general public.
Please note. I'm not the one responsible for the change of policy, I'm just one of the aforementioned 'old guard' who still happens to be playing CoH.

Perfectly understandable reason but the link should probably be removed from the What's on in Union thread I'd guess if it's no longer applicable.
We've acquired a Ventrilo server or I just run a TS server from my PC anyway since we lost access to the other one
